1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Mine my node. on: March 14, 2019, 06:02:32 PM
Looking to mine my own node with a stick miner on winX with bitcoin core. Did really get anything from searches, hoping for some guidance in the right direction.

I already have core full synced and cgminer installed, is it as simple as just some config in core?
2  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Coldcard question on: March 01, 2019, 06:04:56 PM
Trying to use a coldcard air gapped. I noticed the xpub in "view identity" match those in the dump summary but when I import the legacy .json file to electrum the xpub is different than what the coldcard or the dump file reads.
3  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Bitcoin Core and bitcoind running on: August 20, 2018, 12:11:39 AM
I want the Bitcoin Core client qt and the server bitcoind running on separate drives on the same machine. Is It just a matter of install the client twice on each drive? Currently I have one qt running on secondary drive but it wants to dl bitcoind's blockchain to the primary. Space isn't an issue just want both to work as I play around with manual setup of BTCpay. Appreciate the help.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / P2P Light Wallet App on: July 03, 2018, 06:46:03 AM
Does this exist? Could this exist? Something like a bisq app? or maybe a mobile lightning app? Combination? Just hopes and thoughts. Break my heart or delight my day. Thank you.
5  Bitcoin / Group buys / T2 Group on: June 24, 2018, 09:49:43 PM
Inno's T2 is dropped to something I want to pickup but can't get 5 unit MOQ. Was hoping to get five to commit and use minefarmbuy? I bought through them a little while back for an s9 that I wish I waited on in hindsight now but thought I would see about a group buy and try to not send bitmain my btc if I can avoid it. Looks like they ship everywhere.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Node Privacy on: May 15, 2018, 02:10:12 AM
I'm looking to run a full node not for wallet but for network so I'm hoping to have it available for connections incoming obviously but want to ensure privacy. I read a fair amount and have discovered some conflicting information. Hoping for some better references.

What I have is: 1gb dl, 50mb ul, winX and access to free VPN service through Avast, not that it's necessary to use it.

Appreciative of all help.
7  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / What happens at the end. on: April 27, 2018, 02:52:20 AM
Now with 17th million btc and 4 million left what happens with mining once the last bitcoin is found. Just tx fee's are awarded?
8  Economy / Service Discussion / MineFarmBuy? on: April 09, 2018, 06:52:10 PM
I stumbled upon minefarmbuy.com. Anyone with experience in purchasing through them? Seems reasonable enough, but I've never done a group buy before.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / BSD Bitsend Pools? on: April 04, 2018, 09:45:08 PM
Hi, Been watching BSD for a few days now and it had a good run and probably will be up on profitability. I was using suprnova pool to mine but confirmations where 290? seemed like a lot. Is is standard for all BSD pools?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Worth Algo Switching with a Single Rig? on: March 25, 2018, 04:05:31 PM
I have 4x 1070 ti, and 1x 1080 ti currently. Wondering with a single rack if it's worth algo switching to most profitable coin? If so, what should I be looking for and when should I switch?

I would say I'm an intermediate miner who can easily set up a miner and mine within a few minutes if my exchange trades the coin. I would not like use NiceHash as I have noticed in the past it switch my algo from most profitable to what they have orders for or even stop mining as connectivity to their servers is volatile for me for whatever reason. Currently I've been mining just a single coin for a few months but would like drive into this more while the market is bear and I consider my next rig builds.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / New to Trading on: March 17, 2018, 07:57:55 AM
What are the driving factors for crytpocurrency valuation?

Scarcity? Utility? Use? Demand? Network? or am I off base already?
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Avalon Firmware on: March 16, 2018, 07:50:34 PM
Hi, wondering if it safe to avoid multiple controllers for 821 and the 841 coming. I have a few slots open on a controller and would love it was functional and safe to do so. I know it is not recommended and Canaan states you should have a separate controller for each miner version but figured would check with the community to see if there has been success.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Hash rate difference help on: March 08, 2018, 06:16:12 PM
Hi,

I'm using EWBF miner on 4x 1070ti's my miner displays a range of 2030-2060 sols but the pool side I'm only getting 1900 sols. Same with my single 1080ti shows 720 sols but pool side is 690 (ish) sols. I have dev fee set to 0 and i'm mining ZEC on Slush. Looking for help to balance out the 4 1070 ti's as I'm missing the most there I feel.

Thanks in advance.
14  Bitcoin / Mining support / Avalon controller Power on: March 06, 2018, 02:42:37 AM
Hi, need to get a power cable for the avalon controller since it doesn't come with one.

Also, can this unit run off of USB from a power strip or will it need more than 3-4 Amps? I have read it needs a 5v cord, appreciate recommendations.

16  Bitcoin / Mining support / s7 Hash Board Repair Options US? on: February 06, 2018, 05:50:52 PM
Are there any recommendations on reputable hash board repair in US? I sent one to bitmain warranty in Colorado who said the board was "too degraded" but this was right before their transition to MyRig. The board had just began degraded hashing and I sent it out, got it back and wont hash at all. Now I have another board down.

Currently I have two boards which have 30 asic status as "-" but go to "o" when under clocked from stock 700 frequency significantly but still no hashing.

Appreciate all help.
