So na post ko na to sa Beginner's and Help section gusto ko lang din sana ipost dito para maging aware ang lahat at hwag na maging biktima ng ganitong paraan.

Quote ko nalang para mas madali:

Hi to all, I would like to share this experience Im actually a victim of this trick so Im here to share this trick to you and dont be a victim like me.

Note: Please inform me if this violates any rules and I will delete the OP.

Last night I have a deal on this unknown user who wants to buy my altcoin and Im willing to sell it because I really need a money right now.

So this guy PM me on telegram and show me his balance on his metamask as a newbie on this and Im the one in need I agree to send my altcoins first our transaction will be divided by 2, Ill send the half of my altcoins and he will send me 1 ETH then again.

So after sending him half of my altcoins he sended me the ETH he send a video proof to make the next transaction.

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecaLq8t7l7U

In the video the transaction is confirmed so I believe him and make the 2nd transaction I send the rest of my altcoins and he will send again another 1 ETH.

After that I wait for more than hour hoping for my 2 ETH so I chat him again and hes gone, in that time I have a suspision that it is a scam and yes it is.

I ask my friend how it happen's when it clearly shows in the video that the transaction is sent.

So heres the answer:

As of now I already moved on and consider it a charge to experience, but I dont want other users here to be a victim of this.

Showing a scammer tricks to the public will make them to think of another way on how to scam others so Good luck and take care on your every transactions.

As the title says "POSSIBLE" so Im not directly accusing this user or saying that he abuse his power but I would like to hear other users opinion and I it will also highly appreciated if Mr. paxmao will respond on this.

Im going to assume that Mr. paxmao is a merit Source by looking on his merit history.

If you are going to review all those post you will notice that most of that post came from a new's on other website's and he just add the source of it, Im going to assume that this is a trick to receive reasonable merits.

Also if you review the post history of Mr. Compiler we can consider him as a 1/2 liner and a spammer on bitcoin discussion board.

Also check the dates of those post and the date when he Mr. Gothorum send those merits most of that posted a long time ago and the merit is given almost 1 month after the post, Imagine how Mr. Gothorum dig Mr. Compiler post history?

I can say that most of those post above are meritable post but if you are going to review it on your own all of those post gets merit only by Mr. paxmao and only 1 of those post get merits from others.

Aside from that it seems like Mr. paxmao is reviewing his post history just to make the given merits is reasonable because this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4544200.msg40903958#msg40903958 is made on June 25 and merited by Mr. paxmao on August 27 if you look at this topic it seems like the topic is already dead because it has no reply since August 16.

Merits receive by Mr. Gothorum from Mr. Compiler in the last 120 days merited post listed below:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4322388.msg38767088#msg38767088 -2 merit

The posts is reasonable enough to receive the merits but if Im on the situation of Mr. Compiler I would not give Mr. Gothorum 9 merits on a single post because Im just a "member" and I dont have much merit to send 9 merits on a single post.

You will notice that on this 2 posts there's this Mr. freemind1 that also gives huge amount of merits and after reviewing his profile I want to add him to this because he sent a total of 37 merits to Mr. Gothorum and if you are going to review his merit history almost all of his merits given is focused on Mr. Gothorum.

This is the list of post of Mr. Gothorum that receive merits from Mr. freemind1:

On Mr. paxmao I cant see a strong evidence on his merit history because he did'nt receive much amount of merit from Mr. Gothorum and Mr. Compiler,

But looking on his merit history most of the merits he sent to other users are reasonable aside from the merits he sent to Mr. Compiler but there are also some users that receive's merits from him that is unreasonable to give.

I can say that Mr. paxmao may not involved with this merit farming but I can also say that there's a easy distribution of merit on their local board.

Examples:
Casamentero fue mi pensamiento inicial ... tal vez emparejamiento? No tienes muchas opciones Sad

Sencillo y simplificado. Ensamblaje.  Grin

Also if you take a look again on the merit history of Mr. Gothorum and Mr. Compiler you will also have a doubt like me.

Lets say my is suspicion is true, if Im on Mr. paxmao position I will also do the same thing I will also take care of that account and I will avoid to give merit to that account because that account is a merit source.

As I said at first it will be better if Mr. paxmao respond to this OP to clear things up.

EDIT:
I think this will be more clearer if the merit history dont get deleted every 120 days and it will be more useful for things like this.

Like what I've said on the question, for me it will be helpful for everyone to have an live conversation to anyone in the forum like a group chat in case of time's that the forum has a problem.

Lets say for example a group chat on telegram or even a social media group, where you can ask other forum members on whats happening in the forum.

For example: the last 3 hours forum ERROR
I think on the past 3 hours almost everyone encounter this problem and some of us are blind on what is happening.

If we have a group chat or social media group, everyone can be updated in a snap when there's a forum problem.

I know there will be some problem about the idea like:
1. spam on the said group chat
2. repetitive question
and so on...

But I think there will be a better community in here if we have this.

In some way this idea might decrease the spam question posted in this forum by whenever there is a legitimate newbie user and he is a member of the group he can ask on the group some of his/her question and get an answer immediately.

For me the best option for this idea will be a telegram group because:
1. It can hide everybodies privacy
2. There will be a quick response for everyone
3. Everyone can be updated instantly
4. Everyone can still talk and ask even the forum has problem

What do you guys think about this idea?
It would be better if the group will be manage by a strict moderator and most of the high rank member here in forum will participate.
6  Other / Meta / Just an idea on: August 24, 2018, 01:47:54 PM
If this post violates any rules of the forum please inform me.

I think this idea might help to lessen the victim's of scam ICO/projects.

We all notice that this year, there are too many scam project's that is introduced to us and too many innocent and ignorant people are traumatized on cryptocurrency because the have invested on a scam project because its their first time, and this might break the image of the cryptoworld on some people.

This happens on me that's why I made some research on the mentioned company.

The time that I've reached Jr. Member I tried this "bounty" in this forum and unfortunately Im not lucky because the first bounty I joined is "TipperEconomy" which managed by this user "needmoney", Actually I did get the token 115 days ago and until now the coin I received doesnt still have its value and there's no more responses by the team on their telegram.

Here's my MEW address: 0x5c53C9f8A7788308ED9c6557cB560c41f77F9Cf0

So after my failure on joining bounty campaign because Im a newbie I stop joining bounties and try to observe how bounty works and how can I choose a ligitimate bounty to promote.

This little idea came up to my mind to lessen the victims of scam ICO and bounty hunters will avoid it.

For example: Tokensuite company - I made a quick research about the company and find out that they have promoted many scam ICO this year.

Quick list of proven scam projects promoted by Tokensuite company
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2943023.280
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4567062.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3365068.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4421714.0

I realized that they made millions of dollars from the investors from those project's and just leave the investors that support those projects.

This is really bad not only for those investors who lose their money but also for our community because maybe some of those investors now might not trust cryptoworld anymore.

_______________________________________________________________________________ ____________

We must have another pinned post that contain's the list of user/comapany that once promote a scam ICO including the scam ICO they have promoted.

with format inside like this or better:  Smiley

This is only a little help but Im sure that it can help a lot to:
-lessen the users in this who promote scam
-lessen the investor victims from social media

I think all of us know that social media has a big part on every bounty campaign's because social media has the biggest community.

A experienced bounty hunter will surely not promote and dont waste their time on a scam ICO's and they will surely always take a look on that pinned post list and ignore some possible scam ICO in the future.

"Some people on social media say "Bitcoin is a scam" blah blah... because some of them once a victim of a scam ICO and they think its because of bitcoin because they dont have any idea whats going on in the cryptoworld".

We cant blame them, but this affects our community even a little.

I know this idea cant fully stop those increasing count of SCAM project's but at least we can lessen the victims by reducing the count of promoters of scam ICO's.

Please share if you have any better idea on this.  Smiley

Im having trouble on choosing a bounty campaign because some of my past campaigns still didnt pay me for a long time though I know now how to pick a good one because I succeeded on some of them, I can tell that experience is a good teacher but I just wanted now to lay it with you guys and I also want to see how you choose your bounty especially to those who are with this for a long time and high rankers.

Please suggest me an ongoing bounty campaign which you think has a lot of potential on succeeding in their project and will pay you as fast as they can, every suggestion would be appreciated.  Smiley
8  Other / Meta / [PROPOSAL] Disable Merit on Local Boards. on: April 04, 2018, 12:29:25 PM
Another "merit thread" but please give it a time to read.

Merit system is "hot trend" right now in our community many user's are still complaining about this system and many of the high rank members are being rude to them.

But I notice that many this members complaining about the system has a good quality posting (Im not telling that all of them).

Then I realized that some of those complainants are contributing good quality post and helping other newbies/people in this community but they cant get merit points because of this reasons:

-Some of us has too much standard to merit a post.
-Many user's hold their sMerit for evil purposes.
-Maybe the merit source are not enough especially many of them are not active on distributing merit.
-They give high amount of merits to "ANN Threads" 20's-50's But I think Ann thread's dont need to be merited.
-But this is the biggest problem why the merits circulation is not enough, those "Merit Abusers" we all know that many of them holds a high amount of sMerit especially those people who has many high rank accounts.

So Im suggesting this proposal to reduce the possibility to abuse the merit system.

I know that soon they will be out of merit's but for sure they dont care anymore as long as they already maximize the rank that they can get on abusing merit system.

My Suggestion is to limit the section/board that everyone can send merit, especially disable sending merits on local boards because in my experience on hunting those merit abusers I see a lot of abuse on local boards that I dont understand and got lazy sometimes to translate the each pages to make a report.

Ex. this user.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=965089
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1108972

Try to check their merit summary and you will see a lot of connected accounts meriting each other on their local boards thread some of them are obviously alts and maybe some of them are friends.

Limiting boards that can send merit will surely reduce this merit abuse case and it will be easier to track those abusers.

The bad effect of this is we will flood post on section's that can send and receive merits...

FUN FACT: I think it will be also good if we ban sending/receiving merits on meta to see who are the people really wants to help and people who just post here to earn some merits.  Smiley

I know that many of us already know how to do this but there are many other users will find this hard especially to those newbies.

Im also having trouble with this before I dont know how I can see the recent merit so I keep looking on the post here with a link of recent merits.  Grin

In this topic they will also learn that their merits will not be deducted if they send their sMerit to someone, because some of the users think this way.

His/Her Strategy: Make long copy paste post for him not to be notice by anyone if he gets the merit and add the source, Then send merits from his alts.

EDIT: Accounts registration are close aside from the main Legendary account.

We cant ignore this kind of abuse too many high rank accounts for one user.

Make our weakness to be our strength.

I made this thread to influence others that still complaining about the merit system.

First of all Hi to all of those members in this forum that still dont like the MERIT system.

After 2 months of the system I see a lot of difference and good effects of the merit system even though Im newbie here too I do some research about how they post before here in the forum without the merit system.
-I can see that the system really less the spam post.
-Some of the farmers get tagged.
-I also notice that almost all of the members have increased their post quality.

Before I also think that the system is too unfair for the newbies like us I also make a complain thread before about the system and called CRY BABY, shitposter, etc of some high rank members and Im so upset so I really do my best to earn merits because I want to prove them that Im not that kind of people that they are thinking.
So I started to research and study very hard to make some good quality of post and help newbies then someone merited me of my post and Im so happy then I start to think on how I can help the forum and try to report some merit abusers without the intention to get some merits but just to help the community.

Then one day, I realized that I am really now a part of this community and by doing all of that I receive some merits. And I also notice that Im better than other people before that calls me a shitposter, crybaby etc..

I also realized that this merit system help's me a lot to learn easily, merit system push me to research and study the forum.

I feel how you feel being a newbie, Im also a newbie here too we can make this system our benefit's to ourselves by pushing our self to learn faster.

We can be better than them and show them that we are deserving to rank up more than those high ranks shitposter and still dont get at least 1 merit in the 2 months existent of the system.

Make a self-study-Push yourselves-Try harder-Be Better.

13  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin price is falling down. on: March 31, 2018, 02:10:22 PM
Bitcoin price is falling down, falling down, falling down...
Bitcoin price is falling down, but dont worry.

I see a lot of thread about why bitcoin price is so down in the past few days, though Im not a bitcoin holder I search what is the main reason about this and I also want to know do people really need to panic.

Some of the threads Ive read is "Is this the end of bitcoin"?

"

All the major cryptocurrencies have taken a battering this week, declining by nearly $100billion across seven days.

Bitcoin (BTC) took heavy losses, dropping by 12.6 percent, from $7,900 to $6,600 in a 24 hour period.

While bitcoin managed some resistance at the $6,600 mark, it showed little sign of recovery.

Why is bitcoin dropping today?
Bitcoin last hit these lows in early February, 2018, dipping just below $6000 before spiking to $12,000, so investors should remain hopeful that history repeats itself.

Cryptocurrencies have been under intense scrutiny this last week amid continuing dissatisfaction in how tech companies such as Facebook secure and distribute user data.

It’s hard to say what the cause of this current crash is outside of a general mistrust in technology.

The biggest crypto coin wasn’t the only one to suffer from the slump, as the whole market endures a bearish trend.

Bitcoin has been known before to bounce back from bearish rends before, and there is no reason to think it won’t do the same again."

15  Other / Off-topic / For those who are still confused and depressed about merits. on: March 29, 2018, 04:28:44 PM
I posted this here because I know that there are many beginners here that will benefit from this post, and beginners and help section are full of topics about merits.

Are you still confused? depressed? losing hope?

Here's a very special and useful tip for you to gain some merits.
-This tip is DYOR or Do Your Own Research, if you are going to follow this tip you can use this for a long time.

Always look at this list of recent merits that sends by everyone:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=recent

In looking to some merited post that you agreed also that that post deserves a merit.
Try to think that why this posts deserve's a merit, also look at the last posts of that person...

Also this thing will help you to be updated to some event that gives merit to a good quality post, you will comment the link of your post that you think deserves a merit.
And dont hesitate to ask if your comment dont get merits, They will answer why your posts dont get merits and what is missing.
In that way you learned something from them and for sure in the next time you join you can get some merits and if still not try and try again until you get the meaning of High Quality Content.
16  Other / Meta / Want to get some opinion about this. [Maybe a Proposal to Eliminate Farmers] on: March 29, 2018, 06:01:10 AM
In this simple suggestion it will help a lot to stop abuse from those already tagged users with high ranks.

If an account is already tagged as a merit abuser or anything their merit will be automatically disabled.
In this way we can instantly stop their abuse to send merits in creating new accounts.

Benefits to the forum and community:

1. No more merit abuse from that account: It will lessen reports that already tagged because if that account has many sMerit he will surely create a new account and pass his merits to the newly created accounts (that is happening right now).

2. It will be easier to clean the community: If their merits is disabled they cannot abuse anymore, and they will surely start from the start, and learn how to use the forum in the right and fair way.

3. They are forced to forget the account that has red tag: If their purpose is to join a lot of signature campaign which is the only reason for them to spam the forum, for sure that account with negative trust will never be active anymore because it has no use for them.

An possible example of one account that have already been tagged and trying to make a way to distribute his merits to his alts.
LINK: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3189979.0

Disadvantage: The only disadvantage of this that I see is that those accounts with negative trust and still active because they are promoting their service and others cannot send merits anymore, but its okay because there are only few of them.

Any other positive or negative suggestion's are welcome and will be appreciated.  Smiley
17  Other / Meta / Some attention to this... on: March 24, 2018, 01:13:46 PM
I need an approval from the community if this one deserves to be posted here before I add to the list and lock this thread. Thank you.

Upon searching on Marketplace > Services about some merit give aways to good quality post and will try to earn some I see something wrong in this THREAD.

I am needing 9 merits to rank. Thank you sir!

This sentence caught my attention, so I review his profile...
Aside from those not too much quality post, as I review OP profile I notice that he only give some good amount of merit to this 2 user.

And as my curiosity already brings me there, I take a look to their merit summary and notice that these accounts are connected.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=882355   -Wesimon
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1214113 -Dingdong7

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1146986 -Wyne
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1022170 -Chanock

My conclusion here is that the purpose of that "Free Merit for quality post" is to distribute his merits to his alts.

EDIT: In addition I also found this.

VERY VERY WRONG MOVE!

19  Other / Beginners & Help / How to make High Quality Post on: March 21, 2018, 02:59:05 AM
Many newbies confused on how to make high quality content to get some merit, Ill give some tips on how to do it.
One of the most important thing you need to know and never forget is that not every high quality post gets merit.

For me a High Quality Content has:
*Easy to understand sentences - Make it simplest as you can.
*Useful content, -Informative content, or -Helpful to fellow members

Useful content: Contains useful information to the forum community (example: Helping newbie lead to the links they needed).
Informative content: Contains cryptocurrency important news and others (example: Banning of crypto ads in social media).
Helpful to Fellow members: Contains informations or guides to other members (example: Guiding a member to Sign a message).

These are a few examples on how to do it, you will learn some other ways on your way up keep on learning.

NOTE: We must improve ourselves everyday. If we STOP learning we will surely fail on what we want to do.

I hope this some tips may help you  Smiley
