101  Other / Politics & Society / One of those times when it's OK to laugh at atheists. on: December 10, 2014, 03:26:11 PM
Now they're suing a diner for supposedly offering a discount for praying before their meal, but it sounds to me like somebody doesn't have their story straight. http://theweek.com/article/index/273386/speedreads-the-daily-show-mocks-a-noted-atheist-for-threatening-to-sue-a-southern-diner
102  Other / Beginners & Help / What would everybody think if I actually owned a faucet? on: December 07, 2014, 10:36:32 PM
Just totally hypothetical, a total random thought I had. Right now, I'm thinking that those faucets really don't earn as much profit as we might think unless they do Adfly and redirects, which would of course annoy users.

106  Other / Off-topic / Had a funny dream about Bitcoin last night. on: November 29, 2014, 07:56:54 PM
Okay, so I had a dream that a plane (a B-17 Flying Fortress -- I have very detailed dreams) crashed and spilled a lot of those golden Bitcoin coins all over the place at a farm near me. Somehow I ended up with a lot of them in my pockets while I was trying to rescue the crew and, when the authorities arrived, I had to explain that they weren't REALLY Bitcoins, they were just chocolate candies with golden wrappers while they melted in my pocket. Hilarious, huh?

117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I know this is oldish, but I kinda like the way Roger Ver stood up to this dude. on: October 14, 2014, 03:30:17 PM
Basically he got hacked, the hacker was trying to blackmail him for $20,000 worth of Bitcoin, but the hacker ended up giving him a sniveling apology and thought he was going to get whacked after Roger Ver put out a bounty for his arrest. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2642600/Are-going-order-hitman-kill-Digital-currency-millionaire-known-The-Bitcoin-Jesus-turns-tables-blackmailer-placing-20-000-online-bounty-head.html

They're running attack ads on Apple's new payment system. COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that Paypal is as hackable as any online system and COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that they often shut down member accounts just so they can keep the money. http://www.wired.com/2014/09/paypals-attack-ad-shows-apples-power-inspire-fear-loathing/?mbid=social_fb
