41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / So, who thinks Satoshi Nakamoto might be facepalming somewhere right now? on: January 29, 2016, 02:08:22 AM
XT seems to be pretty well derailed, but I get the feeling that the battle isn't over yet. I think we'll just have to get used to the idea that Bitcoin isn't invulnerable to manipulations like the one that Mike Hearn stomped off in a hissy fit over and stay on high alert for now. I am interesting on hearing everybody's thoughts on where we should go from here.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If you know Bitcoin will tank tomorrow, which altcoin would you jump to? on: January 28, 2016, 07:11:35 PM
I like the looks of NXT and DASH, myself.
43  Bitcoin / Project Development / Any Bitcoin/Wordpress developers in the house? on: January 27, 2016, 03:38:05 AM
I think you would be quite popular with owners of Wordpress-based Bitcoin ecommerce sites if you could create a Wordpress affiliate plugin that pays out in Bitcoin. Could even be a premium plugin. #justsaying
44  Economy / Services / I want to earn enough for a trip to Washington, D.C. on: January 27, 2016, 03:24:51 AM
You could call this a slick promo for Bitcoin if you like. What I want to do between now and May is earn enough Bitcoin or altcoins for a weekend trip up to Washington, D.C. between now and May. What I'll do is forum posting, article writing, website content, pretty much anything to do with the English language that won't embarrass me if somebody happens to walk in on me, I'll do. $6 per 500 words, fastest way to get my attention is to place an order here or PM me.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Guys. It's going to be hard to get the genie out of the bottle. on: January 27, 2016, 03:16:17 AM
I think a lot of the people who are freaking out about Bitcoin being "declared dead" are the ones who have Bitcoin as the majority of their cryptocurrency holdings. Bitcoin may not survive with all the infighting and and the limitations on how fast the Bitcoin network can process a lot of microtransactions, but that doesn't mean that major players won't simply leap to another cryptocurrency and keep right on going if it dies. I've been accepting a lot of altcoins (the ones I think are worth supporting) for my writing services on my blog as kind of a way of hedging my bets. The ideas that went into the original Bitcoin won't die so easily once they've gotten this far if we just don't let it.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / IMF Fears Cryptocurrencies May Circumvent Capital Controls on: January 27, 2016, 03:06:15 AM
The short version is that cryptocurrencies are making them nervous because they can't easily control it. http://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/imf-fears-cryptocurrencies-may-circumvent-capital-controls/
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / 15% off writing services with Potcoin on: December 24, 2015, 08:04:06 PM
Now through the end of January 2016, I'll be doing 15% off my writing services for anyone willing to pay with Potcoin. Place an order here.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / John McAfee talks about Bitcoin. on: December 13, 2015, 08:25:13 PM
"Digital currency is inevitable. Whether it's going to be Bitcoin, that's the question."
49  Economy / Services / Will write for Bitcoin. on: December 08, 2015, 04:23:57 PM
Christmas money!! If you need writing done, send me a message or place an order on my blog (yeah, I take about a bazillion altcoins too). $6 per 500 words; I'm not too picky about the topic.
50  Economy / Auctions / This website needs gone. on: December 07, 2015, 10:15:23 PM
Hirecrypto.com. I'd like to get at least one Bitcoin for it and I can take increments as low as 0.01 BTC, but best offer gets it.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Would you be more likely to buy with an altcoin if you could get a discount? on: November 16, 2015, 01:25:58 AM
Basically, what do you guys think?
52  Economy / Auctions / Selling Hirecrypto on: November 11, 2015, 11:07:19 PM
Maybe somebody here could do with HireCrypto what I just plain can't right now. Domain's renewed through the end of 2016; website is set up to accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and DASH through GoUrl. (Had the theme customized to handle it.) If you win the auction, you're getting both the domain and the website (Wordpress + customized premium theme). Bids start at 1BTC & I'll check back in a week to see where we're at.
53  Economy / Services / Edit video / I'm testing my website. on: November 03, 2015, 03:30:17 PM
I have a short video that needs edited to add pictures (can be a slideshow format) and clean up the audio a bit. Also, I'm making a few tests of my website, HireCrypto, so it would be appreciated if you could place bids here. Right now there's no commission fee for freelancers.
54  Other / Off-topic / So how many of you went camping this summer? on: August 09, 2015, 08:28:19 PM
I mean real camping, with a tent and trying to figure out that two-can stove thing without burning your hands off and the whole bit. Fun stuff, isn't it?
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / OK. I am making this my long-term goal. on: August 07, 2015, 11:38:52 PM
"The War On The Gig Economy Has Begun." Which means we're going to need a decentralized model for freelancing gigs that can't be easily shut down. Which, obviously, means Blockchain. Any thoughts on this, peeps?
56  Economy / Services / I need someone who can integrate cryptocurrencies into my Wordpress theme. on: August 04, 2015, 07:29:53 PM
Basically, I want to integrate ten cryptocurrencies:

  • Bitcoin
  • Litecoin
  • Dogecoin
  • NXT
  • Peercoin
  • DASH
  • Orbitcoin
  • Potcoin
  • Marscoin
  • Earthcoin

If you want, you could bid on this job here or just PM me with how much you want for the job, preferably in Bitcoin. I have the source code that I can send you. I might want to add more currencies later, but I think ten will do for now.
57  Economy / Services / Will rent out my sig space. on: August 01, 2015, 10:25:00 PM
I've participated in signature campaigns before but quit when the people running them started requiring that I sign up for their websites to claim the Bitcoin. I'd rather make this as straightforward as possible -- I rent out my sig space and you send Bitcoin to an address I specify. Any takers?
58  Economy / Services / [SOLVED] Need help. Wordpress-related. on: August 01, 2015, 08:33:42 PM
I think I'm almost ready to get the ball rolling on HireCrypto but I'm having a minor issue with viewing each project category. What I got out of SiteMile is that it could be a problem with the htaccess in cPanel and/or the Permalinks settings. For all I know, this could be a simple fix, but unfortunately I know nothing about it. If somebody can help me fix this, PM me and we can work out the details.

Edit: Problem is fixed
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The pizza and cheesy bread I just bought with a Domino's gift card from eGifter. on: July 30, 2015, 05:46:56 PM

It's a good thing I like jalapenos. I didn't realize that Domino's cheese stuffed breadsticks came with jalapenos. But this is kinda my Bitcoin Pizza day.
