1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Was Ross Ulbright framed by the FBI? on: April 26, 2015, 07:36:56 PM
OK, first I apologize for having this data in two threads, but the first thread (how it all started) concerns Variety Jones and not Ross, so......

In light of my discoveries:

Sooooooo,

According to the timeline: 05/02/2012 - Account Silk Road changed to Dread Pirate Roberts. Source: http://antilop.cc/sr/#timeline

Can someone explain to me how comes Ross posted a thread as Silk Road and then exactly 45 minutes later as Dread Pirate Roberts on December 01 2011

Edit: Image Source: http://antilop.cc/sr/img/2011_12_01_shabang_guard_node.png

and:

Could be an error in the timeline, or do you have an idea?

NO. Definetely NOT.

And I 'll tell you why: http://antilop.cc/sr/exhibits/GX-226D.pdf

(2012-01-15 21:11) vj: <-- isn't kidding - start the legend now

Once again, take a good look at the dates and usernames in the image below:

EDIT: Are these actual evidence from the trial?
And if it is, how comes Ross's attorney did not notice this?

EDIT 2: Wasn't Ross using "Silk Road" (instead of Admin mentioned above) as a username before DPR?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Need to create a 1:1 copy of Bitcoin.... on: March 03, 2015, 06:35:01 PM
As the title says, I need to create a 1:1 copy of Bitcoin for a project I am working on, with the only difference being that ALL coins will be pre-mined and distributed to users through various methods.

How do I go about it?

I got a 10K VPNcoin cheque to the person that can provide me with detailed instructions on how to do it.
(That means something similar to this: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=74386533074614359359 )

If you can help me out, I would be very great-full!

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / ARG Puzzle WITH 3.5BTC PRIZE – THE ALTERNATIVE ENDING!!!! on: July 09, 2014, 11:18:45 AM
Hey everybody,

I haven’t posted anything since Sunday, and that was shortly before my computer and network was attacked by someone.

Now, before I got attacked I have followed a very different, more interesting route on the puzzle than you guys.
Yeah I did. And I have discovered 3 more puzzles!!!
Yay! I love puzzles.
They were quite easy though, but none the less they were fun!

So, this is what I did:

The “shared starting point”
(You all knew I was focused on this)

Hint from OP:
0 = 0A = 10BABYA = 36WOW

So let’s break that down:

0 is the starting point
0A, which means the starting point, then becomes a capital A, I took the first capital A
10BABYA – Count the next 10 characters and you find a “baby” A or a
36WOW – If you look at the tiles over it there all there: 3, 6, w, o, w

But what does that mean?

I immediately thought of morse code.
So, starting top to bottom and left to right, using Green as dash and Red as dot, I have converted the lines that contain 3, 6, w, o, w and this is the result:

3
.. ... - --- .--. .         ISTOPE

6
.-.. .-- --. ---. -. -.       LWG!NN

lower w
-- --- .-. -.. ... -         MORDST

o
- .-- - . .-- - .--. -      TWTEWTPT

w
-- .- . ..-. -.. -- ...         MAEFDMS

Result is: I S T O P E L W G ! N N M O R D S T T W T E W T P T M A E F D M S

No key here either…
But obviously an anagram.

Original anagram: I S T O P E L W G ! N N M O R D S T T W T E W T P T M A E F D M S

My find: (copy-pasted from my original notes)

  S T     P          W        S    T E  T P T M     M  S T  P    T   T

More than meets the eye, and Wow! Signal
It made sense to me to check the only hint we haven’t used.
The Wow.jpg

Now it is obvious that the words for a 12 word Dark Wallet seed are in the marked area.
So now this clue makes perfect sense too.

I have tried various combinations but the winner was:

CHANNEL
NUMBER
TWO
VERTICALLY
WRITTEN
EASTERN
DECLIN.
DIGITS
6
6
5
7

The answer was basically the first six words, CHANNEL NUMBER (TWO DIGITS, WRITTEN VERTICALLY).

After submitting that seed I lost connection to the Dark Wallet Gateway and it wouldn’t allow me to reconnect.
And on my next browser refresh after posting this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661781.msg7703728#msg7703728
my computers and network was under attack.
By whom, I don’t know. But it has cost me a great deal of cash getting everything checked.

And then, when I manage to get back online the game has ended in a much different way than the one I have followed.
I don’t know which is the alternative ending, but I find my version more interesting and more suitable to the puzzle.

What do you guys think? Wink

Anyways, “I had a blast” (funny huh, after the attack) playing this game.
Hopefully there will be more soon.

PS 1: I can literally picture you "guys" on last Sunday, all sitting in the room, having a blast seeing the contestants being stuck for days,

AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN!!!!!

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep…….

It’s the alarm that someone has hit the pot!!!!

Oh God, I would love to see your faces when this happened!!!!

PS 2: To the one(s) that have attacked my computer and network, feel free to knock yourself out.
I am at an Internet Cafe so I don’t give a shit.
Besides, I am going home now.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / No wonder PHs appear out of nowhere...... on: June 24, 2014, 09:47:09 AM
I accidentally stumbled on this page: https://42btc.com/mine/en

a 4.5TH miner for 3.642BTC Huh

For real?

Can a Chinese member confirm if they are legit?

Btw they offer 72TH miners (16x16x282MH).
Is that for real also?

I am guessing the Chinese banned Bitcoin....  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / WTF? Are they playing with us? GHash.io hashrate on: June 17, 2014, 10:28:05 PM
OK,

so we had a 51% hashrate the other day belonging to GHash and their hashrate was at 40PH +/- 3
which is exactly what they have now.

So what happened?
PHs appeared out of the blue everywhere so 40PH+ is only 32% now?

That doesn't make sense....
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 51% can be prevented so long as all nodes agree. on: June 17, 2014, 01:14:21 PM
Hi guys,

I just came up with a theory also posted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652858.msg7361312#msg7361312

If the protocol was to be changed as to not allow a node to submit x number of blocks within x time, and all nodes agree to this, it would be a start.

Hashing power is measured by how many blocks are solved by one pool or miner at the day right?

If you can limit that then problem solved.

Basically, if the core dev team makes a small change on how blocks are submitted then we will not have 51% attack problems and all pools will grow together as miners will split/point their equipment to various pools at the same time.

Thus eliminating the fear of a 51% attack and all pools can grow together yet remain at decent % levels as to not cause panic again.

What do you guys think?

13  Economy / Service Discussion / [BitMixer] How is this possible? on: June 08, 2014, 12:38:57 PM
Hi guys,
I was checking the Bitmixer website and they say:

"Using the BitMixer code means that a user’s previous coins will not be used in further mixing operations.
Our problem is solved – every user continues to remain anonymous and private."

How is that possible?

I mean how can one track that coins or even portions of it once belonged to xxxxxxx?

Thanks

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Addresses: What happens after 20 years? on: May 28, 2014, 07:44:32 PM
So, from what I understand is that Bitcoin addresses can be created "on the fly" at whatever number at a time without the fear of generating a duplicate address because of the chances.

Well, Bitcoin seems to be doing pretty well, so,
what happens after 20 years?

I am pretty sure that at some point unique addresses are going to start running out....

So what happens?

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Add information in a Block/Blockchain? on: May 17, 2014, 11:55:47 PM
Hey guys,

I have read in an article (don't remember where), where a company had complaints about the bitcoin blockchain because they used to add information and after the latest release of Bitcoin they couldn't do that anymore.

My question is:

How can one add information to a block?

Sorry if my question sounds dumb, I just don't understand how that is possible.
