5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Mining Pointless? ? ? I think not? (titol edit) on: July 19, 2014, 05:50:15 PM
I just realised something I can use my dusty S1s to continue mining bitcoins then convert them to lite/doge so basically ith eth a doge/lite miner all im doing is converting bitcoins to alt instead of buying scypt miners which i wouldnt do now anyway

i never fought of that before.....

but before i set them up i need to use the leaf blower and see how much dust will cum off those things im excpted a storm ahead.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / It's Time... I'm ready to plant the seed. on: June 29, 2014, 09:56:38 PM
i hath finally create an offline wallet using ubuntu live cd offline.

I am amazed that it detected my printer instantly i didnt even hath to install anything i was so proud of myself.

my hands were shaking, my heart woz pumping and the sweat stung my eyes the struggle much continue.  I tested the BIP38 key over 10 times and will try it again in about a week and when I am finally so satisfied I will coll forth my investment to the physical world using the printer wont be long now.

I cut many 3 wallets using a pair of scissors i felt i woz at school again cutting shapes u no that wallet that folds over with the pretty colours it now feels like a sucj golden check in my hands that will determine my fate in years to come i will cherish it with my life.

i will now put 1 wallet it in a jar and bury it deep below the soils of old until it matures and many years later i will come and return it to its place of creation to cash in my investment and live in a free er world where no one will suffer povertay

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / BIP38 Key on: June 29, 2014, 09:15:02 PM

9  Other / Off-topic / Ubuntu the Worst OS I Hath Ever Used In My Life on: June 28, 2014, 02:17:49 PM
Went to try out linux-Ubuntu for the first time as I'm not a geek programmer so Ubuntu should be more friendly from a former windows user; it's not...

I wanted to install Windows 7 theme into Ubuntu so I could work my way round and adapt gradually.

Not much to ask from an OS to change a few appearances/themes etc.

So I paste this string of nonsense into the Ubuntu Console

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install win-themes

and

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install win-icons

and

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:freyja-dev/unity-tweak-tool-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unity-tweak-tool

and

sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://repo.mate-desktop.org/archive/1.8/ubuntu $(lsb_release -cs) main"

and

wget -q http://mirror1.mate-desktop.org/debi...ve-keyring.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

and

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mate-core mate-desktop-environment mate-notification-daemon

and

I then select the Unity tool from the lol dash to select the themes that I want.

and what do I get for my efforts?

Absolutely nothing...

The icons change to windows lookalike yes that's great however... the - [] X controls are on the left hand side of the window, the menu/taskbar is locked to the ceiling, there is no programs list; instead I hath to go through the lol dash and select apps and scroll all the way down to run a program I want.

In addition you cannot move icons around and drag them to the desktop, you hath to go to great lengths to do the most simplistic of things.

To troll it all off the system reverts back to its default theme when I restart Ubuntu.

At this point in time I just want to crawl under a rock and just die this system hath ruined my life and my afternoon I was just getting into it.

The only reason I got into Ubuntu is because of Bitcoin security, however I think I'll abandon this little venture and just use the OS for offline wOllets as it's supposedly more secure than windows.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / bitaddress.org on: June 27, 2014, 12:00:34 AM
So... i've decided to create an offline wollet (BIP38 ENCRYPTED) to a computer that hath never connected to the internet but i am concernd very concerned...

wot if I use an old computer with xp or vista with outdated browers?

will this affect or corrupt possible key generation using bitaddress?  Will an outdated browser support bitaddress?  It's the corruption I'm worried about.  Yes I could test it now but 40 years down the line if when I want to cash in my investment from a BIP38 key a lot of code will change how do I know that I haven't lost 40 years of my life with this.

If this did happen and I lost it all I think I would probably kill myself.

Won't I need to connect to the internet to install java as most websites now don't let you download an exe file to transfer they force you to download a little exe file that you click on to download the main program from their servers

12  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Paper Wallets How Doth It Work? on: February 28, 2014, 09:50:07 AM
I am thinking about storing all my bitcoin savings in a paper wallet but I'm confused how it works.

How does the software know how many coins that have been sent to that "cold storage" address since it is permanently offline.

I am hopelessly confused.

I just generated an offline address using bitaddress.org (saved the webpage to my pc for offline generation) and wtf that exact address exists on blockchain.info site how is this possibollll magic?
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / is it safe? on: January 22, 2014, 06:38:27 PM
ok ive just gotten into this business of bitcoin. i hath 3 erupters mining deep 24/7 for me they are complaining about the heat so i bought a split air conditioner to improve productivity and they still refuse to work harder so i overclocked their asses to 2gh/s and explained that the work u do is good for our economy management.  they hath learned their lesson and now i hath no trouble...  .     .   yet

before i invest any more money in this sham is trading really an effort for these bitcoins?? carnt i use some secure site that has a "middle man" that holds bitcoins and cash then transfers them securely between pee    ople instead of direct trade so to avoid scum jeremy scammers

i wouldnt care about the fee as long as its reasonable
14  Other / Beginners & Help / is it too late to get involved on: January 21, 2014, 05:23:02 PM

15  Bitcoin / Hardware / antminer u1 overclock bfg on: January 20, 2014, 03:00:40 PM
hi i have an issue with overclocking the antminer u1 but i cant post int he form i have an really important issue to discuss.. it overclocks to 2gh/s when i set the freq code but when i set the freq code to mine at 2.2gh/s it reverts to the default 1.6gh/s this is with the BFG miner 3.10.0 i switched to bfgminer because its more stable than cgminer cgminer wont detect multiple usb erupters unless i mess about and plug each one in at a time however it did mine a 2.2 for each erupter connected now i can only mine at 2.0 using bfg but the reason why i use bfgminer is because it auto detects the erupters so i dont have to mess about plugging them in and mess about with slicon drivers etc..

help me in the right direction please

examples

--set-device antminer:clock=x0981    this works at 2gh/s
--set-device antminer:clock=x0A81    this doesnt work at 2.2gh/s it reverts back to 1.6gh/s

this is with the bfgminer
