21  Other / Meta / How did they get 1000 merits? on: October 14, 2018, 11:09:53 AM
https://bpip.org/report.aspx?r=unluckyhero&a=1

Now shows only those members that have enough merit to rank up, based on how unlucky they are in the activity field.  a=1 only shows active members - remove it for all.

(There are a lot of inactive members)
I was curious to check how many members are waiting to be Legendary. There are 157 hero members with at least 1000 merits. ATM, the highest activity is 1022 by LordPiccolo, and likely to be Legendary in the next activity period if he maintains the activity update requirement.
On the other hand, the minimum activity with 1000 merits is 552 by Rollin.io. I thought s/he achieved those merits. I was curious to see his/her posts. However, in bpip, it shows s/he has not got a single merit.

So, why has he been airdropped 1000 merits? In the same category, there are more 5 persons who have got 1000 airdropped merit with less than 775 activities (Minimum for being Legendary). 4 persons have more than 700 activities which can also be logical.
Can someone explain me, please? I am little curious actually.

Thank you Vod for providing us with such interesting information.
22  Other / Meta / Time to implement rules for bounty managers on: October 12, 2018, 06:47:12 PM
I am sorry. Coolcryptovator has already created a thread regarding this issue, although not exactly same.
My thread is not about rules or regulations. I want to quote a part of a bounty thread created by a so-called full member.

Here we go-

Rewards:
Hero/Legendary – 6 stacks per week
Sr.Member – 5 stacks per week
Full Member – 3 stacks per week
Member – 2 stacks per week
Jr.Member – 1 stack per week

If a bounty manager can't write the word "stake", what can we expect from him?
Probably, it's time for some regulation for bounty managers. I don't want to mention the fishy characteristics of bounty managers here.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / How to get 10 merits in 1 day on: October 11, 2018, 09:17:01 PM
Clickbait   Cheesy

Newbies, please, read once.

Here is my little request/advice/suggestion (whatever you think)

1. Improve your English
If you are posting in global board, you must have little skill over English. You don't need to be an expert one. Express yourself with the correct words. There are some people who aren't too good at English but got more than 250 merits only because they can write/express themselves clearly.
For improving your English, you need to have good vocabulary and some grammatical skill. You also can use grammarly or some forum which is made for learning English. The more you engage with a forum, the more you will learn it quickly.

2. Don't be repetitive
If you gonna join a discussion, check the OP first and then read all the replies made by other. If someone miss any discussion, you may start from there. If there is nothing new to say, skip the post. Don't make comment which has already been discussed by others.
Why should you not be repetitive-
a. It doesn't add any value.
b. It not only wastes your time but others people's also.

3. Always use search bar
Before creating a new post, search in forum whether it has already been discussed or not. You can also search on google. Just add the word bitcointalk after your keywords. If you don't find any related thread, only then go for a new thread.

Getting 10 merits in 1 day is easy for people who don't give a fuck to merit a.k.a upgrade membership. Getting 1 merit from 1000 day is the hardest for people who are hungry for merits.
24  Economy / Reputation / [List] Possible Scammers Who turned into Neutral from Red from Lauda [updated] on: October 07, 2018, 06:02:14 PM
This list only includes trust rating which has been turned into neutral from red because Lauda is not a DT member anymore. As there is no red caution in their profile, they may scam people easily. That's why I am trying to list all the users who have been turned into neutral now.

Note: As I am listing the accounts manually, there may have some error. I have listed 300 users and posting here and stop listing as LoyceV listed faster than me- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5045649.0

25  Other / Meta / Lauda Not Anymore in DT now | How does DT work? on: October 07, 2018, 11:46:05 AM
Seems like Lauda is not anymore in DT. Am I correct?

However, It's quite confusing for me. I found a thread from 2017 when he/she got off. How this DT works actually? Sorry, I know there are some more threads on it. But, I am asking about DT in general and the case about Lauda specifically.
26  Economy / Reputation / Merit Abuse Among Alts? Need Attention from DT on: October 06, 2018, 07:47:57 AM
User MiChaeng has received 90 merits from September 12 to September 17. I have checked all his merited posts and those are in altcoin discussions. He has received 90 merits from 5 different people from which 3 guys have already been red-tagged because of cheating in bounty with alt. Also, 4 of them only sent merits to MiChaeng.

Here is the merit history for user MiChaeng. received merits from 5 different people.

User ChainSmokers sent 23 merits within 5 days to MiChaeng. He never sent merit anyone else.

User Masyudhi sent 14 merits within 4 days. He never sent merit anyone else.

User andibongkol sent 28 merits within 5 days. He never sent merit anyone else.

User tyoA7X sent 20 merits. this user sent total 32 merits between 3 users, from which 20 merits for MiChaeng.

User Icologies sent 5 merits. He never sent merit anyone else.

So, I think it's a clear merit abuse and DT should take steps.

Here is the list of users connected in this abuse.
1. ChainSmokers
2. Masyudhi--- Already Got tagged cheating in bounty.
3. andibongkol--- Already Got tagged cheating in bounty.
4. tyoA7X--- Already Got tagged cheating in bounty.
5. Icologies
27  Other / Meta / Account Ban Appeal can be reduced? on: October 05, 2018, 07:14:34 AM
Each time you check the first page of meta, you will find a bunch of post regarding appeal for banned account. Well, as per the rules, people do have the rights to appeal. But, as per rules if someone is banned for a valid reason, he/she will not be banned unless it is temporary.
In addition with appeal, people also ask for a reason why he/she got banned. If the user can get a valid reason behind his/her ban, he/she might not be encouraged to post here.
can it be possible to share a log for only banned user like modlog? In banlog [I assumed the name], people will be able to why he/she got banned.
Thus, banned user first step would be finding out the reason why he/she got banned and user may not get interested to post here again. It's true that not everyone will check but at least, most of them would and the ratio of post here for appealing would reduce.
Is it a good idea or I have missed some points?
28  Other / Meta / Where to post? on: October 04, 2018, 10:02:14 AM
I got 3 ANN/bounty threads which are being bumped continuously with a lot of newbie accounts. You may ask me to report but how much reports I will do at a row. So, I have decided to create a thread so that all the threads get deleted and users get banned or whatever they deserve.

Where should I create the thread? I am sorry for asking such question here.
Is it reputation?
