Here is my little request/advice/suggestion (whatever you think)

1. Improve your English
If you are posting in global board, you must have little skill over English. You don't need to be an expert one. Express yourself with the correct words. There are some people who aren't too good at English but got more than 250 merits only because they can write/express themselves clearly.
For improving your English, you need to have good vocabulary and some grammatical skill. You also can use grammarly or some forum which is made for learning English. The more you engage with a forum, the more you will learn it quickly.

2. Don't be repetitive
If you gonna join a discussion, check the OP first and then read all the replies made by other. If someone miss any discussion, you may start from there. If there is nothing new to say, skip the post. Don't make comment which has already been discussed by others.
Why should you not be repetitive-
a. It doesn't add any value.
b. It not only wastes your time but others people's also.

3. Always use search bar
Before creating a new post, search in forum whether it has already been discussed or not. You can also search on google. Just add the word bitcointalk after your keywords. If you don't find any related thread, only then go for a new thread.

Getting 10 merits in 1 day is easy for people who don't give a fuck to merit a.k.a upgrade membership. Getting 1 merit from 1000 day is the hardest for people who are hungry for merits.

It's possible if you are actively contributing to the forum and actively posting a helpful response but there are many newbies here in the forum that they want to get merit and rankup to get higher bounty rewards.

I think you must add this  "Make a unique and Helpful article or thread" this is very important because if you can give unique and helpful thread you can get merit fast from merit sources.

I suppose this is where i struggle because i don't have a lot of time every day to read through every post in a thread and then add something that hasn't already been discussed.

Let's face it, we're all here for one reason or another whether it's for bounties, airdrops, icos, signature campaigns or to learn about crypto. Having a higher ranking is important for those participating in many of these activities.

Just to play devils advocate, I read through your first page of posts and it sounds like you know quite a bit about the forum for a new member. How do we know for sure you're not just an alt of some senior member trying to make it look like it's easy to earn merit? Bc imo it takes a lot of effort and even quality posts can go unmerited...

Most times it just comes down to precision,timing and luck I must say, but it's just only reasonable that if you continue to be helpful and contribute to the forum by assisting others,you definitely must be lucky to always be at the right place,at the right time to earn merits by either sources or forum members

What we may not be aware of is just how many people have managed to earn 10 or more merits in a single day. As we can see, it is doable.

This is what I’ve gathered:
* All-time: Achieved on 5.021 occasions by 3.059 distinct people (some therefore have achieved it on multiple occasions).

* Recently (first of September 2018 onwards): Achieved on 487 occasions by 350 distinct people.

A lot of people are thirsty of merit, but never learn how to get it. Okay, we know, make a useful POST maybe have a chance to earn merit. But, I think not only guide to make a useful post. Who want to get merit must have mindset to help the other people, help people who thirsty of knowledge.

Here's Some tips to improve your post :
- ANSWER + PROOF = If you want to answer someone question, include link (with legit information and accurate), IMAGE, and all of needed proof
- SUGGESTION + EXPERIENCE = If someone need advice, and you have experience on it, share it. Explain clearly, what risk and what advantage based from your experience.
- NEWS + SOURCE = If you want to share NEWS, you must include SOURCE LINK. Do not try share without including source, or you will banned.

Because merit is not dead easy (nor extremely difficult to earn either). Your posts are basically all in the Ann Altcoin section. That section is a rather well merited section overall, but there are trillions of posts there, so standing out and being spotted at the same time is likely rather difficult.

Besides, many posts that are merited there seem to be directly related to the ICOs themselves (OPs and team), somewhat technical, or blatantly Alt account meriting by the looks of what is actually being merited there. You should likely try to be more elaborate in your posts, and try to post in other sections you may feel comfortable interacting with, if you believe you can bring value there.

Maybe you should change your way of posting if you didn't receive merit after 150 posts. I checked your post history and your English is good. Compared to other member who earned merits.
I suggest that reduce posting on megathreads, its better to participate on other serious discussion like meta, beginners and help etc. Or create a post that would help anyone.

I don't think my English is bad, I don't usually write on Altcoins ANN megathreads, I hardly ever give good advise but I think I'm helpful from time to time in the beginners and help subforum, I don't give a shit for the merits, and I still will die with the 10 I was given when the merit system was implemented.

Put more thought in your posts. Avoid posting in ANN threads and megathreads that barely have any discussion.

Mainly that and because most jr members got demoted to newbie(reference). If you visit the meta section several users are doing their best to help the forum by exposing spammers and plagiarised posts.
