Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 400$ per GTX1660 Ti
|
on: February 21, 2021, 11:09:13 AM

Presently is 400$ per gtx1660 Ti a good buy? Now that no one knows how long mining profitability will keep up, is this a good price to buy or I should let go and wait for later? The offer consist of just three of this graphic cards right now, what do you say?

I'm getting 28mh on a stubborn OCed RX580 with Micron memory inside, is there anyway around this without bios modding? Or what is the best active AMD miner out there can that boost my hashrate a bit more? 30mh is more than enough, I have 6 of these card and only once is not doing so well, it's MSI RX580 8gb micron memory, any help will be appreciated

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash vs other pools question
|
on: February 08, 2021, 07:31:33 AM
|
The reason why I decide to use Nicehash for mining is to avoid Ethereum high gas fee and nicehash do that just right because it pays in BTC but when it comes to hashrate comparison nicehash is really ripping people off
I have 31.7 mhs from my gtx1660 super and I noticed that's I'm getting paid by 26mh hashing power, which is 2.9$ every day but on other pools I should be getting 3.4$ every day anyways
So is it possible to start mining Ethereum straight to my binance wallet? Then I will swap to other coins directly? Is there anyone on here doing same thing?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / RX Vega 56 & 64
|

RX Vega 56 and 64 have been around for a long time now, are there people still building rigs with these graphic cards? Since they are now old AMD cards I expect them to be cheaper right now, also are they still Profitable for a certain algorithm?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If new projects can go through verifications too
|
on: November 26, 2020, 04:05:20 PM

Im wondering if it's possible for new projects team to go through KYC themselves, why is it always investors going through KYC just to buy presale and tokens in crowdfunding? If teams are going through verifications it will be easier to track them down if they scam people, but how is this ever going to happen? Only top exchanges have such power for example binance, to save their credibility they have to do good screening on the project first, on teams and on projects use case, what do you think will work better ? SEC? Or what?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Stable coins for bounty hunters
|
on: June 04, 2020, 08:29:11 AM
|
I know this have been discussed several times on this forum but yet I will like to drop this again, I'm sure few new developers are among us here, so here we go
It will be a whole new story if new projects can start paying bounty hunters in USD or stablecoin, this have few advantages over paying with your own tokens, if new projects find it as a most for people to try out their new Blockchain they should use airdrops instead, airdrops has the lowest rewards, hardly to get 2$ in airdrops today
As for bounties please start paying in USDT, DAI or USDC, this will erase your sense of 'bounty hunters are killing new projects' idea

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Binance after Coinmarketcap
|
on: March 31, 2020, 12:27:36 PM

If binance CEO and team take over CMC then you guys should be ready for a whole new level of ratings, here are few things I expect from Binance
1. Liquidity rating will finally works 2. Many fraudulent projects will be kicked out 3. Many fake volume exchanges will be exposed or even red tagged
So far I haven't seen a capable team like binance team, if crypto is going to reach a whole new milestone then this is how it will begins

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Good or bad plan?

Are we at the bitcoin bottom already? Ethereum falls pretty hard today just because Bitcoin hit 9110$, is this just a correction or the coronavirus at play again? I'm thinking about buying back BTC right now

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Facts about mining Coins
|
on: February 07, 2020, 10:12:43 AM
|
While mining cryptocurrencies can be profitable on the long run there are few things that's making things very hard for miners
1. OBSOLETE Back in the days when mining was still very profitable I used to have very good GPUs then, like AMD HD7970 6x and it was very fun mining Monero and making good profits within a week but now its impossible and all these cards are useless, I was forced to sell and move on, the fact is GPUs become obsolete faster than Asic miners
2. Cost of Electricity Most profits from miners now are for electricity fees, I still have friends that mine ETH and by month ending 70% of his profits goes to electricity, he is able to even earn that 30% because he has multiple mining setups
3. Dead GPU Your GPU can die on you at any time, it happened to me and I was able to fix some but not all, mostly this happens because of heat or failed GPU fans
My conclusion is if you don't want to go through all of this its better you switch to POS ( Proof of Stake) that won't cost you any energy and worries, its all about buying coins and staking them, no hassle at all, the higher the quantities of your coins the higher your reward
