61  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin and Diamond on: February 29, 2020, 02:18:02 PM
I have tried to search for this term to see if anyone has written something integrating bitcoin with the precious metal diamond? But due to the fork coin Bitcoin diamond, I didn't find anything.
Diamonds are not precious if you think about utility. The utility level is very low and people purchase it from emotion.
Can we make a demand supply curve for both Diamond anr Bitcoin and bring both in one line?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Insider trading on: February 28, 2020, 03:56:47 PM
From the points of business ethics, information must be publicly disclosed which have direct influence on the market. This is normallly done by projects but there are some trades go on which is based on the news yet to be aannounced publicly.
Say, you are an employee of Binance. You know coin X will be listed in Binance after 7 days but this is yet not annouced publicly by neither Binance nor by the project.
We can easily expect that most of the times, Binance listed coins get instant pump and it's possible to get 20% or more even within a day.
Since you know the news before public, you can invest heavily before the news is announced and sell with a higher price when the news come and people jump into it.
This is kind of insider trading but not limited to. I have used an example of unethical behavior from only an employee who can be unethical but it will not be a surprise if a lot of the employees or someone from the projects do it.
This is very risky. You can also figure it our easily. Like, after annoucement just check what was the price changes before the news was publicly announced and try to get the causation of the pump. If there's no other variable having causation, it's certain that it's an insider job and you must not invest into that coin at that time because the price will fall shortly than you can imagine..
As I said, "The altcoin market is more complex than you can think of. You will be scammed which will not look like scam at all and will look everything normal to you."
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NHCT is a scam? on: February 24, 2020, 08:02:12 AM
NHCT token has raised $10 million with an ICO price of $0.032 long ago. It was 2018 and since then there's no update on the project, on their telegram group. They have listed in a shit exchange which is very new and also get started with ICO in 2018, it was ethershift. I have asked about updates several times but they never seem to get engaged with discussion despite they always say that they are working on the project but no updates. On 2019, they promised to list the coin on a good exchange once the market recovers a little which was a shit reason to postpone the listing but they are now giving no response. One of the admin is sharing the referral link of ethershift all time.

That's really sad, we invest our hard-earned money or spend our time on the bounty but this scam team only promises and cheat at the end. How long?
64  Other / Beginners & Help / What is Market Cap on: February 24, 2020, 07:25:32 AM
This is very basic and I wouldn't write this article unless I see this confusion from a higher rank account. Some high-rank users even merited the post too. Did I miss anything? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In simple words, market cap is the total value of a certain project at this moment. Or in other words, the total price of all the coins available of a coin/token.

This depends on circulating supply.
Mcap= Circulating Supply * Current Price

I took a random token, BOMB.
Total Supply- 953,103
Circulating Supply- 952,315
Current Price- $0.678806

So, the Mcap= 952,315 * $0.678806 = $646437.13589 which represents the total mcap in CMC.

So, basically this has no effect in the mcap, circulating supply and price can affect the mcap.

65  Other / Meta / BUMP for other who are off limit on: February 22, 2020, 02:09:38 AM
Why does moderator/admin ban someone?
To off limit using the forum, isn't it? If someone is banned from the forum for a week or two or permanently, they are not having the advantage of facilitating a lot of features.

Now, if other people help them doing things, how much off limit are they in reality?

This is not a personal thing. Hhampuz have been banned twice so far to my known. But some people is helping them bumping Hhampuz's thread (I am 100% sure Hhampuz never asked anyone to do that, people doing voluntarily), TMAN annoucing free slots (Hhampuz asked).
Why people assist Hhampuz when he has broken rules?
Why TMAN assisting Hhampuz to do things which Hhampuz is not allowed to that?

If it's allowed, why the false sense of off limiting features?

PS- If anyone takes it as personal attack etc. please don't respond because your respond will be biased.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple partnership with bkash? Is it legal? on: February 20, 2020, 05:20:27 AM
Bkash is a payment gateway of one of the reputed bank of Bangladesh, the BRAC bank. Recently they had a partnership with Ripple.
What I have understood, BRAC bank will use Ripple (?) to transfer remittances. If so, aren't they going to use XRP coin? Please confirm, I am a bit confused in this.

If so, I mean if they use XRP in Bangladesh, why not Bitcoin?
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bangladesh-bank-with-4-billion-in-assets-now-employs-ripplenet

Edit- The article refers to partnership with Bank Asia, not BRAC Bank. I can't find link of the BRAC Bank partnership for now.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Check Liquidity Before you invest on: February 16, 2020, 06:47:29 AM
It seems like altcoin is having a good pump lately, many of the shitcoin has started to gain 100%  Grin
That's good and bad both to be honest. For them who have invested a lot of money in 2018 ATH, it's good for them but for newbie, this shitcoin may be destructive to your crypto journey unless you become very smart while investing.

One term I would like you to introduce is- "Liquidity"

I don't want to go in details here since the goal is to make you alert about low liquidity.

Liquidity is simple term refers to liquid your crypto asset into fiat or it can be BTC too. Since, most of the times we trade with BTC, I will go with BTC here.

High liquidity- You can sell your coin anytime as much coin you want, the market has enough buyer to buy your coin.
Low liquidity- There are no enough buyer to buy your coin.

You can check this easily in exchange. Just visit the market for a coin and check the buy and sell orders and the amount. If there are low buy orders despite a high sell order, this means you can barely liquidate your coins there.

SO, when you are going to invest in a coin, check the liquidity of that coin for a certain period. Otherwise, don't invest. Also, before depositing big amount in exchanges, check if there has enough buyer at your desired price to buy your coin. Scam exchange can attract you by pumping a certain coin in their exchange and once someone deposits a big amount, they scam.

The altcoin market is more complex then you can ever think of. There are thousands of ways of scamming you which you can never imagine, even after being scam, you can't realize that it was a scam. Before invest, be smart enough to learn the tactics and save yourself.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / POWR pumped 110% on: February 15, 2020, 04:40:23 PM
Couple of days ago, I have talked about POWR here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5223576.msg53781362#msg53781362
I had studied about this project. Had invested some good money (not huge) and sold today with a 2x return. Howeber, it seems to be a pump and dump group manipulation. What do you think? Will it get an ATH on its next partnership happening on March?
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What if a significant inflation happen worldwide? on: February 13, 2020, 05:47:20 PM
The chance is very low to happen a significant inflation unless world war III or worldwide epidemic disease occur. Let's assume any of this happened. Will people likely to switch their fiat currency into bitcoin?
If that's what happened and people attempt to switch their fiat into bitcoin, there will be a chance of fiat currency become nothing of value.
PS- I don't want world war or epidemic disease at all. i am just thinking at what point bitcoin will take over the fiat currency system.
70  Economy / Service Discussion / DDEX exchange volume increased 3725% on: February 10, 2020, 09:46:15 AM
DDEX exchange is now ranked 64th most volume exchange in CMC. It has a 3725% volume increase in the last 24 hours which seems very fishy to me. The top paid is ETHplode/ETH with a volume of $85,954,468 while ETHplode marketcap is only $86,451.39  Roll Eyes CMC is doing some very stupid moves. They have said it's Adjusted Volume but still they are misleading people with wrong information.

72  Other / Beginners & Help / Use Discord with caution on: February 08, 2020, 06:11:53 PM
In Discord, it's possible to change username for different server. You can use different username on different servee. As a result, it's very easy to impersonate.
One of my friend recently lost $20 because a scammer impersonate to be his known person and Amazon Gift card seller. My friend used to buy this card. So he sent $20 in BTC to the scammer but later he got that he have been scammed.
Always check the #ID number.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / POWR Power Ledger can be the next big thing on: February 06, 2020, 05:16:29 AM
I am checking some of the coins to pick 3/4 altcoins for investment. Among them, it seems POWR to be very interesting. I have not heard about it before. Anyway, couple of hourse ago, they had a great partnership with Alpheria spa, Italy's one of the largest electricity utilities. How much it can affect the price? There's another big annoucemnet coming on March as well. Please put tour opinion for short term investment like 1 month or so.

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Stable coin for Every Currency on: February 02, 2020, 01:26:24 PM
Is it possible that if cryptocurrency gets accepted all over the country, tether or any other stable coin will start creating stable coin for all the currency available in the world? I think they will go for that and create money out of thin air. What do you think? Will tether do that ever in the future once crypto goes more mainstream? Or govt themselves will create their own currency at the end?
PS- Self-moderated thread to prevent spam.
75  Economy / Scam Accusations / Fake Ledger Web Wallet giveaway on: February 02, 2020, 05:10:18 AM
A youtube channel is live and asking people to join giveaway to get upto 2000 BTC, they are claiming themselves as Ledger. And ledger has started web wallet ledgerweb.io which is brutal scam. They are asking for importing seed key to the web wallet to receive the reward. This is a scam. If you import the seed key, your wallet will be compromised. Don't get yourself scammed.

76  Economy / Scam Accusations / CryptonFix.com SCAM!!! on: January 29, 2020, 12:24:59 PM

Cryptonfix is a place where you can trade crypto and other digital goods. One of my friends messaged me today in my social media account and asked me if I can buy BTC. He also said that his BTC is on cryptonfix which can only be transferred internally for him because his account is not active. Let me share that he is very much newbie in BTC. He sold one of his domains and got paid by the seller through BTC in cryptonfix. Now, it's asking him to deposit 0.02 BTC to withdraw his BTC which proves it is a blatant scam. The buyer also not responding. Never trust anyone if they ask to use safe digital good trades or crypto in this exchange.

78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Stay Away of this scam Coin on: January 22, 2020, 08:00:13 AM
As you can see this coin has risen 600%, the coin is only listed in Crex24 which is another home of scam coin. Don't invest your money on this sick scam coin. Check the image from Crex24 too. All the order is very small which are created only to pushing the price by DEV team or a group of people. Most coin listed in Crex24 are scam mostly. Stay away. Happy trading  Wink

By the way, this is a great signal of altcoin season. This is not a piece of financial advice.

79  Other / Beginners & Help / Change address when Bitcoin was created on: January 21, 2020, 12:54:16 PM

I never knew this. I can't remember if I had ever seen such a case till now. Please refer me a case where user have lost change bitcoin because of not putting the change address if this is true.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 15, 2020, 06:08:00 PM
Look at what happening around. The first cryptocurrency bitcoin was invented to reduce the hassle of third party and have borderless transaction. Isn't it true? Now, look at what happening. People are more into investing it than using it as currency.
Most interesting is people are most interested in coin which give more ROI, they are not interested in the currency-ish of a currency.
For example, some people are talking a lot about BSV, but if they have some research, they will never take it as currency, but as this is giving a good return now, it's best for them. Why man? Why don't we look into a decentralized coin? Why do we only take it as investment? Did Satoshi ever take it as investment? Or he invented Bitcoin for borderless payment and solution to the intermediaries problem?
