1  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Multichoice new price rate on: April 27, 2024, 12:41:40 PM
I believe sae, most of us here never hear or done about the hike wey Multichoice wan do concerning the increase rate package of DSTV and GOtv wey go start on May 1st 2024.

This kind increase rate wey Multichoice wan do at this time wey everything for the country d increase like madt, both the dollar sef. How una perceive am wey be sae, no steady light supply and peso subscription for their DStv and GOtv go d ready without considering such.

Link to info: https://www.channelstv.com/2024/04/24/multichoice-announces-fresh-increase-in-prices-of-dstv-gotv-packages/amp/

I sae make I bring this here, so that wey go put mouth for the matter cos things for this country is getting out of hand. Everything just d increase without minding whether money d flow for the country or not.

I learned about a new TV channel called SLTV through FB post when people d complain about the hike wey Multichoice company wan do so.

2  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Oronsaye's Report and Implementation on: February 28, 2024, 12:00:50 PM
Due to the state of Nigeria's economy and excessive spending by the FG agencies and parastatals. The Tinubu led government don agree to implement the recommendation of Steve Oronsaye report on how to restructure of government agencies and parastatals to emerge them.

The Oronsaye report came about in 2011 during former Pres. Goodluck Jonathan tenure. Pres. Jonathan established the presidential committee on Restructuring and Rationalisation of FG parastatals as Steve Oronsaye go be the chairman.

My question come be. Are you in support of this? As this move come be a good move by Tinubu government since the previous government no implement am.

To me, Restructure of Nigeria don begin so. We go begin to strive for a positive change for this our God given country, as the cut down on unnecessary spending don start from top.

I so much believe that Nigeria will work again no matter who the on top. Let's support the Tinubu led government. One love

I don't know whether this post don been talk about for btt forum before but if it has, make una no vex as I wan bring am up make newbies and some other old members know about the core team members of bitcoin, wey d behind bitcoin creation.

We all know sae, a single being can put up a success or creation of a crypto project without having core team members wey d behind am.

That brings me to ask this, whether you don on your own for once wonder or reason on yourself about the people wey follow Satoshi in creation of bitcoin before?

If you have, wetin you don think or ask yourself on am before? Are you asking the same question that I am asking that, this core team of developers of bitcoin go somehow know who Satoshi be at least than for them to deny who Satoshi be.

My question na goes to, do you believe this set of bitcoin developers don't know who Satoshi be? Em d somehow that none of the core developers of bitcoin no know who Satoshi be. All of them can't accept to work or develop bitcoin for Satoshi without reaching out to him in one way or the other.

4  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Forex Crisis: FG plans to clampdown on Binance, and other crypto exchanges on: February 21, 2024, 09:02:14 AM
Due to the steady weakening of our naira to dollar, the Nigeria government don plan to move against Binance and other crypto exchanges base on currency manipulation on forex and money laundering d use them the execute crime activities. Because of the shady activities on crypto exchanges and currency manipulation on forex na em d contribute significantly to d weakening of our naira. Na the FG reason be that.

Link to info: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/670254-exclusive-forex-crisis-nigeria-plans-clampdown-on-binance-other-crypto-firms.html

My question come be, wetin Binance and other crypto exchange gats to do with the forex crisis? Na them be the real reason why our naira d fall yakata to dollar. Crypto exchange work no be to d give a country currency exchange to dollar. By the way, our naira no be d only currency wey Binance and other crypto exchanges have a trading value to dollar. So why must FG come after them than finding a means to why our naira d fall on a reg since Tinubu took over as Nigeria's president. I think sae, Tinubu d em support of crypto as em claim before. So why this move now? Na the question I d ask so

I am not happy about our naira weakening but our FG taking a move against all the crypto exchanges based on the stated reason no be wetin I fancy cos crypto exchanges are never the cause of our naira weakening.
5  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Operation Rescue Naira on: February 03, 2024, 09:37:20 AM

Because of how our naira falls yakata to dollar over the years up till now, some of our Nigeria citizens don turn am to be business wey dem go open domiciliary accounts ordinary with the agenda of storing up dollars for profits nothing more. Although we get genuine Nigerians wey d store up dollar for personal reasons best known to them.

Because of the huge amount kept in a domiciliary account by Nigerians, ranging from about 30 billion dollars, the Tinubu government wan look into am. To know wetin the sub for that area of why Nigerians d like open a domiciliary accounts for banks. Whether na for salary payment, foreign exchange revenue, or for individual purposes. This situation must be addressed says our minister of finance, Wale Edun

The thing now become sae(the idea wey d FG come up with) the moment wey your dollar money drop for your domiciliary account, the bank go automatically change am to our local currency, equivalent to naira value to dollar at that time, and banks are go credit to your bank account immediately in naira.

Wetin be una take for this matter wey d FG come up with, concerning domiciliary account?

As for me na for peso to move em funds from domiciliary account to trust wallet after you don convert am to USDT.

I sae make I drop this information for here cos I believe sae em go be of help give many Nigerians.
6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Jamb and course to study on: January 29, 2024, 10:00:36 AM

The matter be, na course to study or apply for our universities wey go d relevant for our today's society cos most of us for here, our country don make am to be as if the course wey person study for university no be wetin em be employed for. Important Update for Those Applying to Write the JAMB Exam This Year:

As you prepare for university, I want you to keep one thing in mind: the world is more connected today than it has ever been. Do not limit your study choices to what is deemed relevant or irrelevant in just one country. You should aim to study for a global stage. For instance, a biochemist's value may differ from Nigeria to the UK. While they might be overlooked in Nigeria, they could be highly esteemed in the UK. Therefore, when you study, do so with the mindset of preparing yourself for humanity at large.

I have received several messages inquiring about my recommendations for courses that are relevant for the future and their respective institutions. After thorough consideration of various science and technology courses, I picked my Top 4 Courses which are futuristic and globally relevant. They include:

1. GENETICS AND BIOTECHNOLOGY (Transhuman Coin will provide additional funding for research in this discipline to students in Nigeria).

Institutions:
University of Calabar
Akwa Ibom State University
University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)

2. COMPUTING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE:

7  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / The internet and crypto on: January 27, 2024, 12:16:08 PM
Years back(21 years ago), a fella wrote something about the internet in a newspaper, stating on how the internet go be a fad as people go give up on am.
Picture and link below:

https://regia-marinho.medium.com/internet-may-be-just-a-passing-fad-the-newspaper-said-21-years-ago-153aae2e0c2f

Here we are today, year's later, the internet making people millionaires, of people wey d engaging on am in diverse  ways. The same thing the apply for where crypto dey. People still d call crypto scam, d no wan believe on am or have anything to do am. In years to come, na so wey go d hear the laugh people wey d call crypto scam.

Time will tell, to every better thing wey person d do. You won't see the result fast but believe me, it will happen someday with your head up straight hoping for the best to come.

My advice na for peso to keep investing in crypto and don't give up on am because someday em go make you millionaire. This go be second wave of crypto wey go make people millionaires. The first wave happens in 2021 which I believe sae, many people miss am because of sae dem no believe in crypto or dem no hear of am
8  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / A year profit investment to choose on: January 25, 2024, 07:43:37 AM
Hello my people, happy new year to unah. Make una reason sae new year greetings don pass cos em never pass for my side since I never say happy new year to many people for this our wonderful local board. So, happy new year to everyone.

Wetin bring me to make the first post of the year na because I read for Facebook where person d ask of which available or good investment to make with $20k for one year to make better profits. Em mention investment like bitcoin, stock, Tesla, Apple etc

Quote
If you invest $20k in $BTC for 1 year or invest the same amount in any of the best performing stocks, such as Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta or Amazon, which one do you think would yield more profits?

Which investment unah go like choose and reason for choosing it.

As for me, na bitcoin all the way. Like with $20k, you don buy half of bitcoin so(0.5). In a year time, bitcoin go fit skyrocket like madt, giving a new ATH of bitcoin wey go fit be $100k-$150k(speculated price)

Getting a profit of $80k + gains in a year time no be bad thing. As for other mentioned investment to make, peso no know wetin go fit trigger their price. But the case of Bitcoin we get the upcoming halving, wey be a benchmark of bitcoin to skyrocket in months time after am.
9  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Patricia exchange new offers with her customers on: October 22, 2023, 10:46:34 AM
I believe sae most of us know or don hear about Patricia's exchange not allowing her users to withdraw their funds from their exchange since last year so. The matter don come up again as the CEO, Haru don bring up a offer and em want them to consider the offer so.
Link for the gist na here

In case if you are hearing it for the first time, Patricia exchange na a young Nigeria citizen bearing the name Fejiro Hanu Agbodje, em follow or should I sae em be the main sponsor of BBNaija last 2 season. Nigeria's were able to know about him through being the big sponsor of BBNaija season. And na through that Nigeria got engaged and the know about Patricia exchange, which later got rugpulled by the CEO because of his buga lifestyle of buying expensive cars, properties, and traveling from one country to the other.

Why I am bringing up this matter for the forum(already discussed before), na to resurrect our thinking not to ever leave our funds for exchange no matter how promising, well known or security-wise it could be.

You go na imagine people's wealth about 2 billion naira is being stocked on an exchange, meaning that they can't withdraw or have control over it after 6 months. It is so appalling that Nigeria fell victim to this mess sha, but no yawa, peso no die. Na still part of life journey that never you trust anybody to hand over your wealth to am.

Abegy make we d help to the tell people wey we know not to fall to exchange wahala. They should always try to withdraw their assets for exchange even if their money big or small.

I say make I drop this one here as a reminder purposes for those wey go like drop their assets for an exchange to have a rethink of doing so.

11  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Government Can't Fund Universities Anymore ----- FG Declares on: June 16, 2023, 09:00:21 AM
Only few weeks wey our newly elected president Tinubu don take over the mantle of leadership so many new bills and changes have been put in place in a short interval. Em go be like sae the FG are in a hurry to change and implement new new bills like sae them no get up to 4 years to rule the country again.

Source link: https://politicsnigeria.com/breaking-government-cant-fund-universities-anymore-fg-declares/

At this time wey the country's economy and her citizen are not stabilize financially with the new development that has been put into law, the FG come throw and another bombshell that they can't fund our university anymore.  This means that universities are going to be sourcing their funds by themselves to keep it running. This will entirely make tuition fees of all Nigeria university to become expensive.

Wetin be una yarn for this matter because the way I d see am the implication no here. Peso no go spend big money for university come later the find work join. The student loan bill na em be the solution to all this or not? Make una suggest the way forward for our educational sector this time around
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Presidential election tribunal on: May 09, 2023, 01:54:27 PM

13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / The truth behind the naira policy, redesign, cashless policy, and 2023 election on: February 20, 2023, 10:57:33 AM
As I take see am for twitter @truthfully83 concerning the whole woroworo(problems) wey we d experience for the country.

I no weda em make sense as I wan share am here cos the matter too long. Raising from new naira policy, redesign, cashless policy, 2023 election and who Buhari d back to be our next president.

Quote
For the sake of these two , Buhari will do everything humanly possible within his powers, to see that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, their APC god, doesn't win the 2023 presidential election, through the back door.

Buhari doesn't forgive, neither does he forget. The open betrayal of the process, by other Aspirants, in favour of Tinubu did not sit well with the likes of Ameachi, Osinbajo, lawan, & President Buhari. After voting, when the results trickled in, Buhari was seen to be virtually unhappy. But the president had his plans.
The party primaries were over, Tinubu was declared as the winner, everyone returned back to their normal lives. So it was time for president Buhari to proof that he is truly the C-in-C, and Aso Rock still controls the political process in Nigeria.

Buhari knew the likes of Elrufai, Ganduje, & co, can not win election, without riding on the backs of popular candidates, or vote buying. Because in their local domain, they are not popular without him. Many of them wouldn't have been governors, without Buhari in 2015.

So Buhari promised to play his role as C-in-C, when the time is right. As they have denied him the right as president to choose his successor, they should also ensure that their candidate, wins the 2023 presidential election, through them. Under a free & fair electoral process.

As far as he, president Muhammadu Buhari remains the president, he will deny their presidential candidate, all the instrumentality of states, including Federal might. That their candidate must win the presidential election under a free and fair electoral atmosphere.

Tinubu became the new bride of APC politicians, he became the most important person in the party, as they all snubbed Buhari and Aso Rock, while they run and gather around Tinubu for political promises ahead of time. Even Tinubu himself also snubbed Buhari...As he shopped for his running mate, but Buhari wasn't bothered. If Buhari was to be informed of his vice presidential choice, he knows Buhari will never support a Muslim-Muslim ticket. Something Tinubu had proposed in 2015, but was vehemently rejected by Buhari.

After settling for Kashim Shettima, and snubbing all the G9 governors, who stood by him, it was time to make political promises, and share positions to them ahead of time. For the real politics to begin. It was time to begin the real politics, on how to win the election.

After trying all available permutations, on how to garner votes, to win the 2023 presidential election, the bulk eventually stopped at the front of President Mohammadu Buhari. As the most important person, Tinubu and the APC needs, if they must win the presidential election.
Like dogs, those governors shamelessly returned back to Buhari, being led by Elrufai, to apologise to him, in order to make peace. To beg for his support as never before, so Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, can win the 2023 presidential election. Buhari in his usual way, told them that he is not against Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate, neither is he against any of them. But what he will promise them is, Tinubu must contest and win the presidential election, in a free & fair atmosphere, without external advantage.

Fearing for any uncertainty, Tinubu through APC governors, strategically distributed almost a trillion naira in cash, all around the country, for vote buying purposes. Because he was hell bent on winning the 2023 presidential election, no matter what.

Emiefele being the Governor of CBN, got wind of the information, on how Tinubu, through APC governors have strategically distributed raw cash all around the country, for vote buying purposes. He took the information to Buhari, and showed him proof. Buhari was furious, but there is little or nothing he could do, because those governors had immunity protecting them, by the constitution. So Emiefele suggested a currency redesign, to stop them, and many more like them who are hoarding the naira from circulating.

Currency redesign was long overdue, coupled with security reports before Buhari, on how bandits, kidnappers, militants, terrorist, and politicians are hoarding the naira, from circulation. Reducing the 3.32 trillion released by CBN into circulation, to just 500 billion only. Buhari hurriedly approved Emiefele proposal. To properly checkmate Tinubu and his vote buying Governors. The currency was hurriedly resigned, with just colour changes to the big denominations, with fewer amounts released into circulation, to quickly chackmate those politicians. Buhari gave Emiefele the approval to draft policy implementation, that will make vote buying almost impossible with the new naira note. That he will stand by him. That was why cash withdrawal limit, was added. To checkmate Tinubu, APC govs, & all those hoarding cash to buy votes.

That reason why no matter how Nigerians cry, Buhari is not ready to shift grounds, to allow the use of those old currencies. Because he has concrete proof, as to how Tinubu through governors had strategically distributed raw cash, for vote buying. Despite court pronouncement

Wetin be una take for this matter as the truth don reveal em self of how the kasala for the new naira notes and old currency take happen

15  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / How prepared INEC dey on cybersecurity for the upcoming election on: January 24, 2023, 08:08:24 AM
in a month time, Nigeria election go commence for the whole country and the election is being done electronically and process by INEC.

Only for Osun governorship election, not to talk of presidential election. INEC IReV was attacked from Asia. Although na failed attempt. The hackers didn't successfully break into INEC result viewing(ReV)

INEC don fully show us sae they are fully prepared for the election to counter attacks from all angles but make dem no tell us story tomorrow of how the presidential result sheets was manipulated from attackers cos I know sae there will be a lot of attackers coming to their end
Quote
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that its result viewing (IReV) portal was attacked by hackers from Asia during Ekiti and Osun governorship election.

INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu disclosed this in his keynote address at a stakeholders’ conference on election result management in Abuja on Friday September 9.

Yakubu who stated that INEC recorded several failed attempts to hack the cyber security system of the result viewing portal, also revealed they are working to address other challenges which are administrative in nature.
He said;
“Another technical concern for us is the repeated attempts to break through our cyber security system for the portal.

“Our engineers reported several cyberattacks on the portal during the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections, some of them from as far as Asia. I am glad to note that all of them failed.

“However, while we are confident in the security solutions that we have deployed for IReV and all our web presence, we must remain vigilant and continue to strengthen our defences. We have tasked our engineers to do everything possible to fully protect the IReV and all our web resources.

“For example, we found that some of the low-quality uploads that occurred in the field, which some of the observers have also noted, were due to the unavailability or substitution of presiding officers that were trained prior to the elections.

“We shall administratively deal with this challenge and ensure that only adequately trained Presiding Officers are deployed for elections.

“Also, more hands-on training may be required to ensure that all those involved throughout the value chain of the IReV are fully ready for what is bound to be a major outing during the 2023 general election.”

Yakubu also announced that INEC would be introducing new legal provisions, administrative procedures and technological innovations to improve election conduct in 2023.

What's your take on this? Do you think INEC go fit withstand the cyberattack wey go happen for the election on their own or the kukuma need assistance? cos una know how the matter for Nigeria d be when it comes to election(them go like manipulate everything for the favor of whom they want to rule).

Now the Church of England(Anglican Communion) don confess sae they invest in slave trade to amass her wealth and power

NIGERIAN ECONOMY IS 24th LARGEST IN THE WORLD (GDP by PPP):

Wait a minute how many times did you ever hear that Nigerian economy is one of the top world economies?

If you listen to Nigerians too much you might even come to the conclusion that Nigeria is the worse place with the world’s worst economy.

Yes, our per capital income is still nothing to write home about but you need to build the economy before the economy could produce for you a higher GDP per capita.

Right now Nigeria’s GDP per purchasing power parity is number 24 in the world.

By nominal GDP we are number 27th economy in the world.

Yes, some platform will put Nigeria only as 27th position GDP(PPP), and 31st position GDP nominal.

Whatever the true figures are, my point remains that Nigeria must be credited for the progress we have made as a nation.
