1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Open thread only to discuss some things before declaring dead to Heavycoin(HVC). on: December 31, 2015, 09:42:41 PM
EVERYBODY CAN POST ON HERE NOW.

What should be: RIP

What should not be: Yet listed on Coinmarketcap and Cryptsy.

The origins:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=470391.0  Feb-17-2014  *old thread, IPO------>dev keccak512
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506774.0  March 08, 2014  *new thread-------->dev keccak512

Assumptions: - is Dead since Apr-2014
                   - Some devs work to some entities, But was a case of its?
                   - Was a scam it?

Clarify things:

*Dead after 2 months after ICO.
*20 months after yet keep barely supported for some members, Why?.
*Mysteriously  dev keccak512 disappeared and  suddenly dev xocel  appeared.
*Are dev keccak512 and dev xocel the same?
*It would be interesting to know which other projects they were involved and what their status

 A example?
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637004.msg7709778#msg7709778
Kiwicoin Jul-07- 2014  Post date. - dev xocel     is a Dead coin.

A few of history on Heavycoin:

Yes, everybody now want's quick buck in few days/weeks. If someting major doesn't happen, coin is deckared dead. Yes, you can wait and profit later, but also you can lost your investment.

At the beginning HVC was looking very good, but now it's too quiet and devs should really came by and say hello sometimes, it will bump the price and move the train ahead.

yes, good coin but bad dev. no active       <--------------- Smart guy beginning to glimpse something strange

Dev inactive , and member now want cutloss they don't want coin no future Embarrassed   <--------------- The same Smart guy, making an assumption that happens very often

no!               <--------------last answer of keccak512

You're still involved? Any projections on what will happen? <--------------A boy trying to get a response of dev

There were a few hiccups with the new code base. They have now been resolved and things are running smoothly. Local indexes are fully sync'd and updating at block time intervals.  Smiley   <--------------A new answer of a new dev probably the same people or "Team"

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Hidden Reasons found behind of some Altcoins releases........... on: December 29, 2015, 07:06:33 PM
Updating:

1-  Scam
2-  Virus/Malware/Trojans
3-  Steal wallets
4-  Espionage purposes
5-  Hacker activity.
6-  Marketing.
7-  Get  emails, ID Social networks.
8-  For fun.

Scam, It is well known but there are other aspects to be discussed. Examples are welcome.

Why after so many years of releases it has not been achieved establish a security protocol by having community experts give the green or red light to a project that can be used by the most inexperienced to ward off these threats.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are altcoins safe/no safe of get PII or SPI its? on: December 05, 2015, 11:24:10 PM
Personally identifiable information (PII), or Sensitive Personal Information (SPI)

This explains the excessive number of releases that may be being used for to get end-user information.

Who really behind based systems on the blockchain are?

After several years think that developers are isolated  does not sound very logical in most cases.
6  Other / Off-topic / The Paradox #152. on: December 04, 2015, 08:47:26 PM
A paradox is a statement that apparently contradicts itself and yet might be true (or wrong at the same time). Some logical paradoxes are known to be invalid arguments but are still valuable in promoting critical thinking.

AIt is the serious part......................

I noticed something on post #152  Reference:

 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1079583.msg13142508#msg13142508

Hello - I am not gone, at first it was only me working on this coin, but now I have contacted another c++ dev from real life who will support this project.

I will post many updates soon, I have not and will not abandon this coin as it is my project and I want to see it become big.
Do not panic I have not abandoned, my apologies for not posting before.

After read this somebody could think:

1.-The name of the coin and dev is arpacoin.
2.-The statement of dev  but now I have contacted another c++ dev from real life who will support this project. --> Are not alls the c++ devs of real life they?
3.-Everybody to know that IA exist, Bots on exchanges, A patent  #9,008,839 of a famous company of internet suggests that the robots could be controlled by a smartphone — from anywhere in the world, Etc..
4.-To what degree is involved the IA on crypto.
5.-Think that some organizations, Government sectors, Industries, Banks are behind of the systems based on blockchain now is somewhat unbelievable. The interesting is to know if they were from the beginning.
6.-Seek on internet ARPACOIN without COIN or Adding the Letter D.

BIt is the funny part........................

P.S  I could have avoided the fun part on purpose and just let the serious part, however I hope that the majority can give its point of view by the serious part.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What the size of the blockchains on the future could be? on: September 04, 2015, 11:26:06 PM
Thinking on next years and use of huge super massive  blockchains could bring some problems and logically its supernodes could be a specie of centralized nodes with high capacity of storage and processing. Some
solutions could be found like to re-initialize the blockchains each year, Or is  an crazy idea it? Or the unique solution to us  will be use centralized light wallet the end of the privacy.

17  Other / Off-topic / Is Bitcoin the "Mark of the Beast"? Discussion on: July 02, 2015, 05:25:15 PM

Revelation, Chapter 13

13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

If BTC is nīt mark                                             Which another could it be?

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Links to dead coins INDICATOR DC ........................... on: October 05, 2014, 05:12:24 PM
How a way of organize and make an indicator about dead coins, I suggest put links  here.
After when list are large maybe a moderator could move its coins to another place.
I see that crypto world need a few basics rules to work better.Unfortunately this can be
done step by step.

Rules Proposal to be accepted by community:

1.- Holds devs to make at least one posting a week.Otherwise community can kill the coin without advice him.
  New:
1.- Holds devs to make at least one posting a month.Otherwise community after a longer period, an enquiring “Hey dev, is this coin dead?” post receives a response within a week, if it dont happens coins will be marked RIP on red color letters for any member of community........
On case of scam coins its can be killed by community using an interval of time  of a week instead off a month.
/*** community must to write: RIP at the end of thread on reds capitals letters.***/
so when someone see 5 RIPīs on red letter will be dead coin.....Use this with responsability.
2.-Locked threads of coins automatically will be listed on here.
3.-If the network hashrate is 0 for a week then coins is dead.
4.-Coins obviously dead will be marked automatically.
5.-Working on more basic rules

6.-What we need to do?  Leave the open door to create 21 millions of alts, one for each BTC, There isnīt way, So coins with only 1 BTC on marketcap are considered dead.
7.-After September 01, 2015. New coins dont could use a name used previously, Do it can result in list it on dead coins automatically.
8.-The concept applies and extends to a more comprehensive approach which is not only necessary to have a low number of connections to that a coin be alive, This criterion covers market, Exchanges, Community, Permanence of  developer team or alone developer and overall marked improvement on code or use in everyday life at least. This arises due to the need of have  a more dynamic system for declaring a dead coin considering the high number of launches and according to most statistics are indicating that most of the new releases arenīt durable and legitimate. So a part of the community realizes that many coins are listed on several exchanges yet and its keep being traded with very low volume sometimes without knowing that are dead coins.
9.-As already it is seen a great number of coins/tokens/projects/etc has been only scam/virus/dont legitims/try of enrole users/hacking/try get personal information, Etc.... And considering the fact that the best way to camouflage is through altruistic purpose, To create a coin for this purpose is no more justified except in certain circumstances they can be very powerful or justified by most of members of the community. On reality if someone really have a altruistic purpose can use the coins previously created, The same could apply to give or receive donations, Religious purposes, Etc.....
10.-To give time for certain preparations, Dates like to New Year's Eve and Christmas Eve, will not be allowed to launch more coins this dates.*Holding the idea that more days can be added here as days of observance  suggested by the community. The violation of this rule merited be not approved or at least it will be marked on Secondary thread in yellow color.Days of observance  suggested by the community:  Dec 24-25,Dec 31,Jan-1. Note: Only will be considered the Local Time of this Forum.
11.-Coins announced for a no-dev or a member that saw it on another place will be declared dead due to the risk it represent.
