Block reward is down from 366 to 193 HVC, last coins to be easily mined. In less than 5 days it will be 1-8 HVC. Inflation will finally be over.

Thank God. The inflation on this coin has been absurd.

I think miners are hoarding the last few high value blocks, which is causing the value vs. BTC to go up. Since last week, block reward is half (193/366), Hashrate is 2/3 (2,000Mh/3,000Mh), and value is up 34% (94 satoshi/70 satoshi). Any prediction on what will happen during sustain phase? I think value will go up slightly, but not enough to sustain miners, and with such a low hashrate, there will be at least 1 major attack on the network, and people will lose interest (loss of miners plus loss of trust due to attack). I could be wrong, of course, as 1gh has had 100% of the network for so long, but if the hashrate corresponds to the block reward (so 193 => 8 = 4%, so hashrate 2,000* 4% = 80Mh) that's in arms reach of a solo miner. Hell, I have 1 rig that does 110 Mh by itself right now. Thoughts?

Should get even better once the inflation comes to a full stop, which at an average vote of now 2 will be very soon

I tried to create a heavycoin.conf file as suggested on the heavycoin website but when you click the heavycoind.exe it just comes up with you need to set a username and password even though I have entered them already, can someone help me? Do i need to put something else in conf file? testnet=0 proxy=127.0.0.1:9050 listen=1 upnp=1 addnode=69.164.218.197 addnode=10.0.0.2:8333 maxconnections= server=1 rpcuser=heavycoinrpc rpcpassword=4WiCidLiDFESHvQV78B3jfqMqm5FfAPAobTaHszBfT6S rpcallowip=192.168.1. rpcallowip=10.1.1.2 rpcport=9902 gen=1

And most importantly, wait. A lot of times on a re-sync or a new wallet, it takes 5-10 minutes to get a stable node to download from.

Thanks for the reply Dallski, i'm still having trouble.
I changed .conf like you said and added the extra nodes too. I dont have a firewall or antivirus blocking it, i can still sync bitcore and execoin wallets but not heavycoin!
heres my .conf again, i take it you save it as heavycoin.conf and not heavycoin.cfg i dont know the difference
listen=1 server=1 addnode=69.164.218.197 addnode=10.0.0.2:8333 addnode=5.9.97.243:7203 addnode=119.81.51.10:7203 addnode=128.199.180.150:7203 addnode=80.241.218.9:7203 rpcuser=heavycoinrpc rpcpassword=4WiCidLiDFESHvQV78B3jfqMqm5FfAPAobTaHszBfT6S rpcallowip=192.168.1.* rpcport=9902 gen=0 daemon=1 maxconnections=50
im on windows 7 64bit, cheers for any help

If you can get bitcore and execoin wallets to sync, then you are beyond most noobs. Check your execoin conf and maybe change your heavycoin rpc port to the same as the execoin one? If not, try port 1925. Also, I don't know if you need to, but you can add: rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 to your heavycoin.conf. Make sure it is in the right directory where you have your wallet.dat stored, and mark heavycoin.conf as read only. And it has to be a .conf, that is what the heavycoin-qt will be looking for by default. Worst case scenario, just delete the heavycoin.conf and try to start the qt without it, as it will load most defaults.

I would prefer to see lower block size rewards being voted for and this mining difficulty (as long as the code is not broken) to continue.

Block reward will change from 193 HVC to 2 or maybe 3 HVC in ~28 hours at block 140400. We are now at block 139560 so 840 blocks with reward 193 and than 2 coins per block

A couple days ago, somebody relied on the Wallet's block reward change and bought all available HVC supply from 100 satoshi to 223 satoshi. Then they must have found out that the wallet's display was off by 3000 or so blocks, so HVC dumped back to 100 satoshi range. In about 6.5 hours, the block reward WILL go down to 3 HVC. We'll see what happens then... I don't know what will happen to the price, but I bet difficulty will go down.
