Looking to trade bitcoins and with the high amount of transactions through the bank i intend to do I have no clue who to open an account with.
The things I know so far...
Lloyds Santander Barclays
Do not like bitcoin.
- a business account in needed.
- fidor uk is a good bank to use but the fast transactions don't exist. If they do I don't think it does for sending money to a different bank i.e. Fidor to lloyds and vice versa.
I don't get it. It'll be a business account with no illegal activity and I'll pay taxes etc. Nothing dodgy going on.
My question is, who here is in the UK using local bitcoins or similar and trades bitcoins? Can a bank account be recommended?
Thanks.
I hope this post is in the right section of bitcointalk. Sorry to admin if it isn't.

Held bitcoin for 4 years now and it's served me well.
Which crypto currency do you all recommend to make maximum profit over the next coming years?
What are your reasons?
I have to research fully before I invest.
I feel with most alts I have already "missed the boat" so to speak. Is this the case?
Thanks in advance.

Will this affect the price?
Will other countries leave if Britain leaves?
Are other countries in more difficulty than they make out?
Whatever decision is made will Bitcoin even notice?
Speculate away........

Hi Guys,
Unfortunately I have had 5 bitcoins stolen from my wallet. I have a bitcoin core wallet which is encrypted and hardly ever use.
I have full anti virus software on my computer and in my mind that is pretty safe. It looks like the thief tested my wallet with 2 small transactions and then took the other 4.6 bitcoins.
Obviously I am annoyed at this and want to protect the rest. This was back in November and I haven't been about since then or even used my wallet or updated it. {I have only just checked it and am updating the walled transactions now}
Please can I have advice on how to go about fully protecting this from happening again? I am not that tech savvy per say so an idiot's guide would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Hi guys and girls.
I read fairly often about banks, companies etc experimenting with blockchain tech. Can someone who is far more knowledgable in the subject than myself explain to me how a company can use their own blockchain and not use Bitcoin.
I get it would need some kind of token based reward system but how would that work or do you think it's enevitable that eventually an existing crypto currency will be implemented such as Bitcoin but it's not being made known.
I am confused how they can create their own and it be better or work with a token/ reward infrastructure.
I hope my question makes at least some sense.
Thank you in advance.

For me during a rally it's far too often. I was involved with Bitcoin before the 2013 rally and that was exciting. It affected my work the amount I checked!
I've started checking again more often due to the small rally we've recently had.
What are your price check routines?
I know I've checked the price pretty much as soon as I've woken for the past 2 years now, every time I go to the toilet, every lunch break, every opportunity really. Pathetic I know, but it seems routine now.

I have been holding btc for quite a while now and I have a fairly decent amount. If I want to diversify and invest in an alt purely for profit in let's say 5 years which should I read up on?
Please give your favourite alt coin and why.
Also speculate as to where to hope to see this coin in 5 years.
Thanks
Russell.

Hi guys,
My skills go as far as downloading a wallet and moving coins about.
With this in mind.....
Can someone explain what Gavin is planning to do and how definite it all is?
Side chains etc? Double coins? Wtf?
Thanks in advance.

Reading the news that Nasdaq is interested in the blockchain- does this mean Bitcoin is of no interest to them and it won't make Wall Street or is this a bullish sign and I am reading it wrong?
Thanks.

Radio 2 in the UK talking about leaving digital items to loved ones if you pass away.
Maybe a good idea to comment on radio 2 Facebook and Twitter about leaving Bitcoin etc.
Worth trying to get it a mention?
National station so I'll do a Facebook comment. Millions listen.
Ps. Accidentally posted this in speculation too so sorry about that.

Hi guys,
I have recently bought a new laptop and I have downloaded the Bitcoin wallet but cannot seem to figure out how to import the wallet data file to the new empty wallet on my new laptop.
I have tried moving the file into the data roaming file part of the Bitcoinqt and rescanning but still it says 0.00 btc. (I definitely have more than that!!)
Yes I admit I am no expert but I like to think I am not this stupid!! What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Yes I am putting this here as I am biased towards this coin but there is a giveaway on Reddit.
Search for Ermiscoin on Reddit and you will see the latest post.
I am unsure if giveaway posts are allowed so apologies if this is breaking the rules and gets removed.
Please take time to read up on this coin and hopefully you'll agree the team have some nice ideas.
I am not one of the developers so any questions please ask them on the Ermis (ANN) thread.

As the title says.
I am a qualified electrician and have had my own business for a number of years. I am a sole trader so don't have to worry about employees.
I am not expecting any calls to be honest as my work is hands on and not online so it needs to be fairly local unfortunately.
All I can do is test the water and see what happens!

Hi all,
Being a noob I have a noob question.
I buy btc often and I own a lot of doge too. I have been reading up on supercoin and I am very interested in buying some.
I have been on allcoin.com and seen that the price to buy is
Price to buy per supercoin = 0.00004988 btc
Price to sell per supercoin = 0.00000200 btc
Why such a ridiculous difference??? The value of supercoin is not valued at the buy price on coinmarketcap etc so why so expensive to buy on allcoin?
I am in the uk if this makes any difference in case anyone suggests another trading site.
Go easy on the replies as I am still learning all this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,
I have been looking at this forum for nearly a year now but just don't post usually.
My questions are:-
What bitcoin infrastructure needs to be built next for bitcoin to mature and be adopted by non tech savvy people?
How has bitcoin grown over 2014 and with regards to merchants accepting btc compared to 2013?
What is the next step for bitcoin? More merchants? Easier transactions or is security more of a priority?
I am just trying to put together everything I have been reading here for months on end and would like to know what is needed to be done to make the average folk understand the concept of bitcoin and get involved in it. I try to talk to family and friends about it and I get the usual 'glazed' over look and the "oh right" feedback. I am pretty sure it's not the way I put it across to them, it's their sheep like attitude of following the crowd.
I think a lot of people don't think outside the box. More people need to be open minded in my opinion. It's very frustrating.
I am wondering what the turning point will be when people will eventually realise this is a very good thing and will be revolutionary to the way we live everyday life.
Thank you in advance.

Hi All,
I have been here a while lurking in the background but thought I'd finally put a post up saying thanks.
All your threads, posts, whether Bearish or Bullish as been interesting and I keep coming back to read up what I have missed during the day when I haven't been able to be here.
I am not a big player in the BitCoin community as I only have a few coins but I hope to have 10-15 bitcoins by the end of the year (Less if it rockets before I am ready!)
Again, thank you for all the information and I am excited to be involved in this and all it stands for.
Russell.
