Welcome to our 4th Annual Bitcoin Penny® Daddy-Daughter Doodle Project! Our first Daddy-Daughter Doodle Project (DDDP) began way back in the summer of 2017 as a super fun bonding experience with my youngest daughter, Mini Penny. She and I co-doodled a total of 10 special doodles, and we auctioned them off with 100% of all proceeds going to her for new art supplies, art classes, and/or whatever art stuffs that might help further her dream of becoming a professional artist. Oh, how time flies! Mini Penny is now a freshman in Art College studying Video Game Art. (Congratulations on following your dream, Mini Penny!) Hence this year’s collection title of DDDP4: College Edition! Each of the 10 doodles below represents an area of college study and was co-doodled / co-designed by both Mini Penny and myself. As a fun bonus, she has added a well-received touch of color to each of our doodles with an assortment of colored pencils and a bit of arterial red paint. (FUN FACT: The DDDP doodles are some of the very few COLOR doodles in existence!) Welcome to another Bitcoin Penny® auction! It’s been a crazy year for us at TBPCo. Production is still slow in the post-pandemic world, but we’re almost there. The first auction is for a very special 1/1 collectible — the 2021 XL Special Edition ERROR COIN! The reverse design on all of our new 2021 Copper Collection was created in honor of our beloved late forum member, Zepher. (Special thanks to forum member actmyname for suggesting this heartfelt tribute and choosing our new 2021 standard mint mark — ZPHR.) In addition to the new ZPHR mint mark, we have included a few other homages to our old friend. The rocket ship is stenciled with Z-21 which stands for Zepher 2021. And within the rocket’s flames is hidden a small Z-shaped lightning bolt. (Zepher’s avatar featured a storm cloud with several lightning bolts.) Originally, these extra large (39mm) coins were minted as exclusive gifts for the customers of our upcoming 2021 Special Edition “Red” Rolls. Once the designs were emailed and approved, the mint proceeded to create two different sets of dies — one set in our standard 23mm size and a special set in the exclusive 39mm size. However, somewhere along the way, the mint employee in charge of creating the dies had accidentally designed the larger coin WITHOUT the hidden Z-shaped lightning bolt. (I imagine it was a simple cut-n-paste error.) Luckily, we always request a single coin sample before full production begins. And that’s when we noticed the error. A new die was created with the full and correct design, and we were left with a single, very special error coin. This error coin is special in several ways. First, it’s a warm tribute to a late, dear friend. Second, it’s the very first 39mm coin that TBPCo. has ever created. And third, well…it’s an ERROR COIN. And so, without further ado, we humbly offer up this unique 1/1 crypto-collectible for auction (with all proceeds going to Zepher’s family).
