1  Other / Meta / Do You Ignore Temporary Or Forever on: April 18, 2026, 10:29:39 AM
I don't know how y'all keep up with this but I can't figure it out and it has been on my mind for few days now, so I think it's high time we talk about it because I want to hear from your perspectives.

The thing is, how do you handle those profiles or let me just say users you put on your ignore list?
Did you keep them ignored forever or you revisit the profile/posts to check if a y of them have imporoved their posting patterns or they still keep on repeating it the same things?

I believe nobody get ignored for no reason (unless there's a mistake). Actually, from my own perspectives, I believe some of those users who get ignored might improve in the the future (if not 100% but at least up to 80% quality). Meanwhile, if they are still ignored, how are we supposed to know that they have changed or improved.
I'm open to hear from you all.
2  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin leads altcoins follows. on: May 21, 2025, 03:19:29 PM
Who else is seeing the market?
I'think I once said I'm not sure if Bitcoin will surpass $106k this month but it seems I was wrong because from what am seeing, it shows that Bitcoin might increase more before the end of the month. However are you still holding or selling? If you are holding keep hold but if you are selling, better stop and hold and wait for the bigger picture. Maybe by the end of the month Bitcoin will reach to a new ATH.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin is the means to become rich in 10 years (depend on how much you can DCA) on: January 22, 2025, 04:46:40 PM
No matter how much you have saved in fiat bank, it will not make you rich unless you invest. No investment is like Bitcoin investment. Both real estate, stocks, and gold cannot be compared to Bitcoin investment. There was an argument within my neighborhood, arguing about how risky crypto (Bitcoin investment) is. One thing for sure is, some folks don't get the point that fiat currency can be riskier than Bitcoin investment. The reasons are
  • Inflation:
causes the price of goods and commodities to add over time. I.e, buying a liter of fuel for $3.100 today and buying some fuel for $4.600 the next day.
  • Economic instability:
This can also make the government borrow money from different countries. However, if the economy is unstable, IMO many citizens will travel out and go to a better country with a stable economy. Also, if foreign investors leave the country, the currency will be valueless.
  • Currency devaluation:[/by
When a currency doesn't have a value, it can no longer afford things that cost that same amount months back. All this can cause fiat to lose value.
There are many reasons why it's very important to keep our money in Bitcoin as an investment.
  • Bitcoin is decentralized:
The decentralized nature of Bitcoin makes it very difficult for the government and the bank to have access to and control it.
  • Can send Bitcoin anywhere/country on a cheaper rate:
With Bitcoin, you can send money to any foreign country at your own comfort and on a cheaper rate.
  • High return on investment:
This is one of the most important reasons. If you invest in Bitcoin, you can make a 100% profit from it, mostly when you invest in the long term. Investing in Bitcoin will also give you the advantage of learning a skill, skills like trading and investment. IMO, with Bitcoin investment, you can also control your finances.

Invest only $10,000 in Bitcoin for 5 years, and you will make decent profits from it, but when you keep the $10,000 in your bank account for 5 years, you cannot use it to buy what you will use the money invested in Bitcoin to buy because the fiat value has depreciated. But the $10,000 invested in Bitcoin will yield profits, and you can use it to buy what you want to buy.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / What are the differences between this 2 gamblers? on: July 23, 2024, 08:34:49 PM
Hello gambler.
Am just wondering if one is gambling everyday (24/7) and he's winning in all his predictions (let's say 90% of his games are won) we do not call the person an addicted gambler, but we only say that he's an expert gambler. But if a gambler is not winning and he's gambling everyday we do call the person an addicted gambler.

Quote
If a gambler is always winning we won't say that the gambler is addicted to gamble but we will say that the gambler is an expert in predicting games.
However this days we do not call those that are winning addicted gamblers but we call those that are losing addicted gamblers.
This quote made me create this thread.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / What makes a gambler becomes addicted? Lose/winning? on: July 16, 2024, 03:42:03 PM
Many of you have seen an addicted gamblers and if am correct some of us have been addicted to gamble but fortunately for you, you were lucky to realize how bad addiction can be and you limit yourself from gamble or take a break from anything bets.
However, it's just a simple question about addicted gamblers, like the topic above.
What really makes a gambler to become addicts to gamble?
Lose or winning?
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Have you lost the money that you where supposed to withdraw from online casino? on: June 07, 2024, 03:08:36 PM
My little experience today, earlier today I was gambling with one of these online gamble site then I was very lucky that I won so much money that's up to $500 with an initial amount that's it not up to $15. However I didn't win the whole money on one stake, for instance I won $200, I only withdraw $150 and gamble with the remaining $50. So that was how I was doing untill I won a lot but didn't withdraw them at once, I withdraw up to 4 times from my online gamble account and the fifth withdrawal wasn't successful and they said I have to wait for 24 hours before I can continue to withdraw the money, so while waiting I gamble and lost the money I was supposed to withdraw, so have you experienced a thing like this from any online gamble site that make you to lose the money that you wanted to withdraw?
7  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / How can we make the government know that Bitcoin is not a scam? on: May 28, 2024, 01:21:55 PM
Years back, most of us believed that Bitcoin was a scam project because of the kind of information we got from unknown people that don't understand Bitcoin and the world called cryptocurrency either. But today we are all bitcoiners/bitcoinists. However, one reason why many people believed that Bitcoin was a scam project those days might be because technology wasn't advanced then. Let's check during the year 2009, there wasn't a smart cellphone that's smart like the ones we have these days. People in those days did not do their own research and many people only depended on the radical news or the newspapers 📰🗞️. And then the amount to buy a cellphone was high and a lot of youths then couldn't afford it.

But today, we have more smartphones and laptops, PCs and these have made things easier for everyone to do their own research whenever they come across things from ads on the internet or elsewhere. But I still wonder why many people these present days still put their knowledge of what people say about something (mostly when it's Bitcoin, crypto-related things). Most people make things difficult for themselves because they easily believe in what other people say, and they make their own conclusions without consulting their own research.

IMO, people who believe that Bitcoin is a scam are the people that can easily be scammed if a scammer sees them. Some government advisers are not well-educated about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. That's why they tell the government in power that Bitcoin is a scam, because no one controls it and the government also fails to do their own research before making their own conclusions to restrict or ban any bank account that deals with crypto currency transactions.

Now my question is: how can we make these governments know that Bitcoin is not a scam?
8  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / The adoption of Bitcoin continues to increase. on: May 03, 2024, 02:33:07 PM
Good day my good friends and families from Nigeria. I am very excited to see our local board being arranged. Seeing the subboard too is very interesting (politics and society naija, off-topic). The LB is getting clean as all topics are set according to their boards.

Well, I went to the mall to buy a smartphone yesterday, and I saw that the shop accepts Bitcoin as a payment method. However, I wanted to pay in Bitcoin, but I couldn't because I am still holding. Although that was my first time to witness a shop accepting Bitcoin as payment in Nigeria, I know that there are stores both online and offline stores that accept Bitcoin payment. This made me more believe that Nigeria is getting closer to the crypto space despite some difficulty with cryptocurrency and CBN. The government can not stop Bitcoin adoption in Nigeria, and even if they try their best people will still invest, sell, trade Bitcoin. So have you used Bitcoin to pay any bill? And what did you use bitcoin to pay for?
9  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Grab this opportunity now. on: April 20, 2024, 10:23:05 AM
Good day my country people inside this country, as we are Nigerian citizen and a bitcoiner I beliefs we know that halving is on the conner, so my reasons for creating this post is for all of us as a bitcoiner to grab this wonderful advantage and buy bitcoin as Bitcoin will reduce within this short time. I am a person who believes that every investment have an opportunity, as Bitcoin will reduce I think we should divide our savings into 3 parts and use 2 to purchase Bitcoin. Some of us are already scared to buy bitcoin because of the way Bitcoin price was high, so I believe if you are that kind of person now is the best opportunity that bitcoin has given to everyone else who haven't buy Bitcoin for the first time. This opportunity of Bitcoin halving is like a jackpot, just hit it now as having is around. And also we should be careful with what we are dealing with this time around many other Ponzi schemes project will come up with different pattern, so we should be careful.
10  Other / Meta / Another feature should be added on Bitcointalk SuperNotifier bot. on: April 05, 2024, 12:14:12 PM
Good day Bitcoiners I am here to share my suggestions to everyone if it would be helpful or bit satisfied by all of us.
Lately there have been so many topics that has been moved to off-topic board and I believed that many people don't like it and some of them don't know yet, It's not about the topic it self it's all about the replies on the topic. So my reasons for creating this thread is to suggest that TryNinja should add another feature on it's telegram SuperNotifier bot that will notify a user if their post has been moved from the board they post it to another board. Moving of posts to an off topic board affects people that doesn't add more posts to their post counts.
Let me know your thoughts about this suggestion thanks.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / (IMO) they are not worth the same... on: March 26, 2024, 08:37:01 AM
After watching this video on social media then I conclude to post it here for other people to take a good look at it and say their mind.
Bitcoin is an online currency which can be used for different purposes like buying, selling, trading, investing and you can use it as means of payments on your business.
Bitcoin was invested on 2009 and the value of 1 Bitcoin was too low. People that believed on it bought it when it was low price did buy the ones they can. Many people didn't buy Bitcoin because they thought Bitcoin is another Ponzi schemes project.
Today Bitcoin is @66k and people are looking for money to buy as much as they can because they have realized that Bitcoin is a legit project and it's almost bull time.

However, I commend you all to take some time and watch how this man made a physical bitcoin with gold and it looks exactly like Bitcoin. Question is will the physical bitcoin worth the same rate like the online Bitcoin? or another design?
12  Other / Archival / Just another question. on: March 08, 2024, 06:24:00 PM
Months ago I read a post that mentions the names of those profiles that is banned based on some illegal posting patterns, and not keeping the forum rules.
I just have a question and I know that with some replies on this thread others people will learn.
My reasons for creating this post is to know if an account is ban and after the same account get unbanned will the Smerits still remain on the same account or it will be removed while the account is dormant?

Today I was roming around the forum then I come across this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5144410.0 the post list names of banned profiles and I think many of them have Smerits on it, but I don't know if the Smerits will remain on the account if the profile get unbanned.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5477510.msg63309635#msg63309635 this is a thread made by Cyrus
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Another alternative on: February 29, 2024, 01:31:59 PM

Based on the issue at hand between binance and the FG protocol, Nigerians are not allowed to use the P2P option in the binance exchange, which I believe all of us are already aware of. And some of us don't have another exchange to send our coins to. So I have come up to share another idea of withdrawing your funds through fiat currency from the binance without making use of the P2P option again.

First of all you have to swap your BTC for USDT, after that click on trade, then in the upper right corner on click fiat. Then you see sell crypto, click on it, you see USDT, tap it and put the figures you want to sell (and follow the prompts). You will be credited ASAP, but you will pay little money for transaction, maybe 1k or lesser.
14  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Another production that can help our economy.. on: February 14, 2024, 03:09:24 PM
Long long time ago I post one thread for economy board about one business wey go help many people especially Nigerians and other African people and lot of our fellow Africans support the idea but other people wey no from Africa content no really support the business because of their own understanding about the business, some say e no dey good for human health and some just say for their areas, there country men no dey value am because them already get one them dey produce from olive trees.

Moreover, we na Nigerian and we know the importance of groundnut oils as we need am for our foods, mostly this time when things they high every 2 days. If in any chance say na you dey produce am you no go lose because na only the groundnut and you go buy.
With the help of this business you go fit also help many youths wey dey jobless for the country as when your business done flourish to the extent wey only you or you and your family alone no go fit dey meet up the supplies wey you go get, that time employment sef done start. However here is a video of how you can produce a groundnut oil by your sef
So how Una see this business? E go help part of our economy or not?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Browser app with a crypto wallet. on: February 11, 2024, 05:02:05 PM
I was making use of CHROME app while posting on Bitcointalk (BCT, BTT) but I was having some difficulty then I installed BRAVE browser app and I saw this, so I checked it was just a browsers crypto wallet. I checked and this was what I saw

However, I noticed that a brave browser wallets is not more secured compared to the THIN CLIENT wallet (electrum) because you will have to download other Bitcoin blockchains before you can start using the brave browser wallets. Other reason why the browser wallets are not good because they can get hacked, notwithstanding that other wallets can get hacked also but on a contrary the browser wallets are easier to hack as any one can or might use the browser on your phone and still have access to the wallet on it without your consent.
Seeing this makes me believed that other browsers have their own crypto wallet and also some newbies in particular which are new to Bitcoin has fallen for this mistakes as their misconceptions have lead them error- prone.
Nonetheless, I checked the browser wallets and I tried to figure out some appurtenant features about the browser wallets but I noticed that Bitcoin wasn't among, so this makes me ask WHY? Although, you can check the browser wallet to see if Bitcoin is hidden somewhere that I couldn't find.
Thanks.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Know why the exchange wallet are not safe on: January 27, 2024, 02:27:36 PM
What if we discuss this important thing concerning crypto currencies, investors and social media platforms? However, some discussion might have been concerning this dissertation, but it will be good if we keep on talking about them so that we will know and not get involved in any of them.
Some of us might be running from crypto scams from scammers on social media platforms. Wow, that's good, but that's not all.
We can keep a safe distance from scammers when we have protected our coins first. We can only protect our coins through 2 means.

1. protecting our seed phrase: We can start protecting our coins the first day we protect our seed phrase. It is very important to do this, because with this seed phrase, we can no longer access our Bitcoin when we don't have any means to log in to our Bitcoin wallet.

2. Do  not keep bitcoin in an exchange wallet: This is also important to be aware of. A lot of people only think that after protecting their seed phrases, their coins are secured.

However, if you do so, it can be secured when you store it in a safe wallet like an electrum. A Bitcoiner might think that he can not get scammed if he did not click on suspicious links on social media, but that's not all. One thing is to keep your bitcoins in a good wallet and protect them. What if you keep your coins in an exchange wallet and you try to protect your coins and then the exchange collapses? There will be no way to get back your bitcoins. That's why I have said earlier that storing Bitcoin in a secured wallet and protecting your seed phrases are some good ways to protect your Bitcoin. Instead of keeping them in an exchange wallet.
17  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / No because of say you no get profits now take sell your coins. on: January 22, 2024, 07:48:45 AM
Happy new week to us all.

The thing be say many of us dey like to dey put all our hope for everything way we dey do, I no talk say e no dey good OH but on one side e no dey good.
Many of us fit dey put our whole mind for investment wey we get, and that one show say person fit get high pretention if e con be say watin em plan no work.
Just like the way wen gambler go bet high on gamble and at last the game con letter cut e go make the gamblers mind dey up because e go just dey like say all the plans them wen em get done spoil finish.
Moreover no be only gamblers e dey happen to, both Bitcoin investor and many business people, some investors (especially those of us wey just start to dey invest for Bitcoin new). We fit dey try to dey accumulate Bitcoin with the small capitals wey we get hoping say Bitcoin go reach $150k for years when we don predict by ourselves and leter leter e no con be the way we think, many of us go talk plenty plenty things while some go even run, them no go invest or hold again.
18  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Have you witnessed the new improvements from some bank network? on: January 16, 2024, 08:39:45 AM
Good morning my fellow Nigerian citizens.
I no really know wether una done follow observe this things way me I won talk like this, the thing no really dey serious oh, but na improvement for our banks network.
This past months when people done dey make use of some popular microfinance bank like OPAY, PALMPAY, KUDA, PAGA and many other.
Some costumers done run from their bank go dey use some of these microfinance banks and the matter be say this banks them done lose their costumers because of their network wahalas (although pipo still gets dey very careful when dealing with some of those MFBs) just picture back these days when bank network dey frustrate pipo to the extent wey be say some times 5 days your transaction fit never confirm and you go go bank up to 3 time a week just to make sure say them verify your transactions for you.
But now wen e be say people done dey use microfinance banks, most of this banks networks done dey very strong and if you do any online transaction, now now now e go confirm (maybe like 5 minutes time).
I no really know wether you self done follow observe this things or the bank wey you dey use, network still dey worry like before?
19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Invest in something that worth your money on: January 12, 2024, 07:32:03 AM
Good morning to all my bosses on Bitcointalk.
I believe say all of us way dey this local board done already know say this na the second week of this new year, and many of us go done dey put head and hand for some kind of jobs wen we come across, wether we go fit from there get money way we go take survive all through this year.
The tin way I won talk be say, as na hustling mode wey we all dey so, make we try invest on watin go yield better profit for rus, because many of us go won put our money for some kind investment way be say na scam projects (unknowingly to us say na scam).
Moreover, my main point be say make we dey careful of the kind of projects or investment way we dey put our money into because most of them na scam projects, as we all they find money na so others too dey find money.

As I come BY last year I see one big house for the capital and I com try ask and then say those people done carry many investors money run. according to watin I hear be say if you invest, them go use your money take trade forex but along the line them done run with people money.

So let's be careful and learn to invest in something that worth investing instead of investing in something that doesn't worth our money.
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Can this be the start? on: January 02, 2024, 10:20:55 AM

I won drop some of the top coins way dey behind Bitcoin, and as Bitcoin dey increase the other coins too dey increase, many of us way dey for this country done buy some of those coin, even as say them buy Bitcoin self them still buy some of those coins too.
Na only Bitcoin na I done buy and I no dey plan to buy any altcoins except ETHEREUM but as long as say we dey find were we go fit put our money so that e fit hold and accumulate better thing (profits) for future, as we dey invest in those other coins make we still dey careful because most of them nah unstable coins without good reputations.
We done enter the year when many people dey expect good profits from Bitcoin as this year nah year when Bitcoin go take skyrocket, many people done predict am say e go reach $100k.
Enough greens dey for the market today, can this be the beginning of the greens?
