1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Things I should know about localbitcoins? on: November 16, 2013, 10:33:57 AM
I am looking to trade some bitcoins today for cash on the site.

I am a new member, and never done cash transactions before. Is it safe?

Also can I trust members with 100+ 100% feedback to do a bank transfer to my account / paypal?

Just had a long and bad experience with mtgox.
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Is anyone else getting a bit worried about mt gox? on: November 12, 2013, 12:14:58 PM
Seems to me that it has become very difficult for new people to use the website. I used to have another account which I lost the credentials for so have created a new one.

Lately I have been getting constant "502: Bad Gateway" errors. They locked my account without telling me, allowing me to deposit bitcoins without being able to withdraw, even as bitcoins.

I submitted my Passport and Official documents a while ago, which is still "pending". It should have taken 2 days according to their site, it has now been 6 days. I have requested to have my bitcoins returned to the address that they came from, but the requests are being ignored.

What happens if they deny the request? They keep my bitcoins?

Support is good and instant, unless you ask a question about withdrawing coins, or to do with the verification system in which case they are ignored.

I have read a few threads about them locking accounts and stopping people being able to use their own money.

Do they even have enough money to pay out everyone if everyone decided to drop them altogether?
3  Economy / Services / Advertisers, how much would you pay for... on: November 01, 2013, 09:02:54 PM
How much would you say is fair for each unique user that views your advert on a page?

This will be for one or two advertisers at a time only, and the user will see your ad in the middle of the screen for 5 seconds before being able to use the site.

The users will be real users, and you will only be charged for ones that actually use the site.

Thanks

Does anyone know how I can withdraw from there?

7  Economy / Gambling / ►►► BITTLESHIPS.NET - 20 Ships Cheap Clicks! ◄◄◄ on: October 23, 2013, 09:58:28 PM
The aim of this game is to hit and sink the ships hidden in the waters above. A single hit on a ship will sink it and you will recieve the prize amount into your account balance. There is a single chest hidden amungst the ships that contains the jackpot amount, find it and win the jackpot! After all of the boats are hit, the next round begins and the boats and chest will be randomly placed by the server. Good Luck!

9  Other / Off-topic / Finally back here for first time in over a year! on: October 22, 2013, 01:48:05 PM
Last time I used bit coin, I had 200~ bit coins and I bought out, at the time about £600 worth. If I had kept hold of those bitcoins today, they would have been worth £24,000!

This is partly the reason why I decided to stay away for such a long time.

Bit gutted now as I had an old wallet that I have long since lost that still had around 15 bitcoins on it. Not to mention a mining account with 5~btc that "disappeared".

I'm thinking about starting up Bittleships again. Was a lot of fun a couple of years ago. I sold the script (not the rights to it), and let the other guy run it. Eventually he managed to run it to the ground. I'll be working on a JQuery version to make it run in real time. Anyone be interested in helping out with that?

10  Economy / Digital goods / Bittleships bitcoin script for sale on: April 11, 2013, 06:38:07 PM
Hi,

I am looking to sell the source code for my website I ran about a year and a half ago called "Bittleships".

I did previously sell the script but the guy who bought it turned out to be a scammer thus the site quickly disappeared, along with the scammer.

The domain was lost to another Korean site which is totally unrelated.

(This is currently the only image I could find of it, I can set it up again if need be)

17  Economy / Gambling / Head to head games for prizes? on: February 24, 2012, 03:11:52 AM
Im thinking of making a new bitcoin game site. I previously have made a lotto site, and bittleships.com

The idea of this one would be to play games such as checkers, chess, battleships etc. For example, a player joins a 0.1btc game of checkers, the winner wins 0.2btc. You join the games with different costs as you wish.

My second idea, would be to create a new type of gaming site, where each user that joins deposits 0.01btc. They then play head to head games with other users, but you must use your entire balance each time, so every time you win, you double your balance. With enough players, you could win ALOT of btc?

opinions?
18  Economy / Services / Would anyone be interested in bitcoin webhosting? on: February 24, 2012, 03:04:51 AM
Im thinking of starting a simple webhost on a dedicated server I have.

Eg, $10 per 6 months hosting, with 500mb space, 2GB bandwidth.. ?

The idea is it will be totally automated, as soon as the funds are confirmed, the account would be setup.
