21  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Germanium ingots/chunks on: October 06, 2016, 11:24:04 PM
I'm sure this is a real long shot since I'm having difficulty finding it myself, but I'm sure there are people around here with industrial ties to an industry that uses a lot of germanium. I'm hoping someone like that could help me source some. I need at least 3 9s. (99.9%) so home made scrap germanium from old transistors probably isn't sufficient, unless there is a very high quality purification method easily available. If you know a method, information would be highly appreciated.

Spot price is apparently ~$55/Oz however from my research its very clear to not expect to find anything quite like that. I'd prefer it in 1 troy ounce or smaller increments. Gram or partial gram increments would be fantastic, but I'll limit my desire to anything smaller than 1 troy oz.

Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Wow I'm dumb, locking thread, found some for ~$5/gram not outrageously expensive.

24  Economy / Collectibles / [Auction] MS69 1 BTC Gold/Silver Casascius Coin (ended) on: July 29, 2016, 08:45:35 PM
Hi all, I've decided to go the auction route rather than waiting to find a price I'm happy with, especially since I don't know what that price would be. Full disclosure, I purchased this Casascius Coin from Blazed recently for the price of 2.2 BTC in a strange turn of auction events. I'd prefer to have the BTC to reinvest into my Silver/Gold business so I'm placing it up for auction again. In the spirit of not being a jerk, I spoke with Blazed and offered a portion of any profit I made on this sale, however Blazed defered that their portion be donated to MinerJones' family who recently lost their home to a fire.

The starting bid is 2.35 BTC as I have that offer from Lutpin from my previous thread bid increments of 0.01BTC please. I asked Lutpin if the offer would stand if I placed the coin up for auction, and they agreed. The auction will end at 9PM US Eastern Time. For reference, the time of this post is approximately 4:45 US Eastern time, so the auction ends 28.25 hours from now.

50% of the profit made on this auction will be donated to MinerJones' family. As it was purchased for 2.2 BTC, if the ending price is 2.5 BTC, they will recieve .15 BTC, and so on.

The winning bid includes free Priority shipping with tracking number to the US, and signature confirmation if you would like it. If you are outside of the US, you are welcome to bid, however shipping terms will need to be negotiated.

If any bid is placed within the last 5 minutes of the auction ending, the auction end time will be extended by 5 minutes.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

26  Economy / Goods / Selling Silver and Gold Bullion at Low Prices! Updated 10/3/16 on: July 17, 2016, 08:48:41 PM
Hi all, I'm offering silver and gold bullion at or near spot price. You can see the price breakdown compared to spot value next to every listing. Every order ships free to the U.S via priority shipping with tracking label and signature confirmation if you would like it unless otherwise listed. I can ship same day if you order early enough, but within 1 business day of your order guaranteed. My inventory updates daily, so be sure to check back often for new products and sales!

If you are outside of the US, I can get you a shipping quote. Please make sure you are aware of your country's laws on importation of precious metals for any importation tax you may have to pay if you are outside of the US. I will abide by all of your country's importation laws. Declared package value is always the spot value of the metal, though I will do my best to make the package inconspicuous to lower risk of theft. I cannot be held responsible for issues with the package due to customs or international shipping problems. I will get the package sent out to you legally, after that I can make no absolute guarantees.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to ask.

27  Economy / Goods / Selling Selmer La Voix II Alto Sax beautiful Black Nickle finish updated 7/27 on: July 02, 2016, 06:27:11 PM

full albumn of photos here: http://imgur.com/NC93e76,Y5NiLr6,VwqNTVB,4iKW4aB,msPKEnw,nqLM2Cz,J74SixR,JToeDpU,jja5682,W3kwkDm,Ryb15V9,7wFxRST#0

For sale is my Selmer La Voix II Alto Sax with black/gold nickle finish and mother of pearl inlaid keys. Its a drop dead gorgeous instrument with spectacular sound. As a semi professional model, its suitable for a wide range of players. Great for new players that want an instrument that wont limit them as they grow, up to well... semi professional players. Its in spectacular shape, no dings, nicks, scratches, or dents, and the cork is in good shape. The only wear is on the keys, where the wear should be.The MSRP on this Sax is in the $3k range, with some of the larger stores offering them for around $2.5k. I'm looking for   ,Gold/Silver, USD, or trade (surprise me!). That includes shipping to the US. I'm not sure what foreign shipping would cost, but I can easily get you a quote if needed. I'm content to use escrow with a mutually accepted reputable escrow agent. Included is the manufacturer's case, metal/plastic mouth piece, a couple boxes of spare reeds and various other cleaning supplies and such that I have. Everything will be disinfected before shipping, as I don't need you making a clone of me... I mean, so its sanitary.

If you have any questions, comments, insults, etc to share, feel free to let me know. I can get more pictures on request.

*Update*

I've lowered the price by $100, and will now include some bonus special secret surprises with the purchase of this Sax. They will be good surprises, nothing bad/dangerous/illegal etc.

34  Economy / Marketplace / Question for the Physical Crypto Community on: April 25, 2015, 03:24:55 AM
Hey guys, so I've dabbled with the idea of making my own physical Bitcoins before, trying to remedy the issues that I percieve there to be with current coins. I have what I believe to be an incredibly interesting idea, but I have one major question so far unanswered. What is the prefered way to handle private keys.

There are two prevalent business models in existance. The Centrally issued and the Buyer Funded models. All regulation issues asside, as that isn't my concern at the moment, what do you, as physical Bitcoin users prefer? There are two major differences each with up sides and down sides and I'm wondering if anyone has any input on the matter.

Centrally issued: Ex. Casascius Coins

The producer of the coin generates the keypairs, attaches them to the piece, and disposes of the keypairs. The obvious downside is that the central issuer has had access to the keys, so there is always a doubt that the producer didn't dispose of the keys. There has yet to be an incident of Casascius/Smoothie abusing the flaw in this method, however a system that doesn't require trust in the first place in my opinion would be prefered. The alluring benefit to this type of system is there is then a secondary market. A 1 BTC Casascius coin can be resold repeatedly. If you buy it for 1.5 BTC, it can be sold later on for whatever premium the coins are fetching at the moment. You aren't stuck with just the 1 BTC that is loaded on the coin plus a piece of metal not worth the premium you paid.

Buyer Funded Model: Ex. Silver Wallets etc

You are shipped a physical product, and then the buyer applies the keypairs themselves. That way no one but yourself knows the keys. The problem with this method is as I said above, there is no secondary market. If the buyer pays 1.5 BTC in total for a Silver Wallet + 1 BTC to load onto it, there is no secondary market. You can't sell it for 1.5 BTC, you can redeem the 1 BTC you loaded onto it, and get $20 for the 1oz silver wallet. In this regard physical wallets like this are just a deterrent for the user not to spend the coins that they have loaded onto it.

I believe I have found a solution to eliminate the tacky tamperproof sticker, move away from the coin paradigm in itself, and provide a means of storing private keys in a way that also yields a display piece far more interesting than a metal round. I'm just conflicted as to whether people would rather I shipped the piece in itself and gave them the means to print their own private keys, increasing their keypair safety. Or, would they elect to trust me with properly disposing of the printed keypairs in order to create a secondary resale market for the pieces.

I've considered split key generation as well as printing encrypted keys sent by the buyer, however in the end either I or the buyer know the private key. Someone has to know the printed private key, so I'm curious as to the community's feelings on the matter. If you know of a way to fix the problem, that would be even better, but my hopes aren't especially high for that, so I guess I'm gauging which direction the community would wish I go.

I appreciate your feedback, thanks guys.

I'm in the process of spring cleaning, so I'm coming across a lot of stuff to sell to my favorite Bitcoin forum, I will be updating the thread as I find more things. Some stuff may be computer related, but I don't really want to make an additional thread in the computer hardware section for just a few items, so this is just going to be my comprehensive sales thread. I accept Bitcoin as well as alternative fiat payment methods, gold/silver, and fish. I'm also open to trades. I have had people offer me zoo tickets, lasers, and all sorts of other neat stuff in the past, so I always keep offers open. I'm happy to use any mutually agreed upon escrow agent, but I ask that the buyer pays any escrow fees. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I can update with individual pictures if there is any interest, else I'll probably just update as I get around to it.

All listing prices include reasonable shipping costs. If you want something overnighted or shipped out of the country, we will have to work out shipping costs.

Precious Metals:

I will sell individual pieces, not in the roll of 20, but shipping gets a little bit more tricky in that case.

Metric Ass Ton of Lucien Piccard men's watches: I purchased them from Amazon recently as I needed a dress watch, planned on returning all but the 1-3 that I liked the best, then realized I paid with Bitcoin, and would be recieving Amazon credit. So before I take the amazon credit, figured I'd see if anyone wants them for Bitcoin. Again, stock Amazon links, but I do have pictures of them in person if anyone is interested. They all come with their original boxes, tags, and 5 year warranty. Also have reciepts from Amazon to prove they weren't purchased from some shady guy in an alley.

Selmer la Voix II Alto Sax with black nickle finish. Its a beautiful instrument with spectacular sound, but it is a semi professional model, and I dont really need an instument of that caliber yet. MSRP is over $3k, I paid somewhere in the area of $2k for it two years ago. Its in great condition, with the only signs of wear being on the keys, that being where you touch constantly, thats sort of a given. Corks are fine, no dings or dents, I can take many more pictures upon request. Comes in its original carrying case. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

This is a stock photo, I'd be happy to take pictures of mine if anyone is interested

Yamaha YEP201 Euphonium please read more about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=315834.0
"I'm the original owner, and it has never been repaired or relaquered. What you see (or will see if anyone is interested) is exactly what you get. Keys have been well oiled, so nothing sticks. No tarnish or rust on the instrument, well maintained in general. Comes with the original case and a sterilized mouth piece if you need it and all of the original paperwork."

Again, stock photo, but I'd be happy to take pictures of mine if anyone is interested

This is an SBU V3, the ultimate in giving no fucks. It is gyroscopic so you just need to balance left and right. Leaning forward accelerates, and leaning back brakes. I purchased it from Amazon, so here is the Amazon link, again I can provide reciepts if anyone is interested. Incredibly fun to use with drunk friends, its actually rather difficult to fall off of, takes about 30 minutes on average to learn how to ride it well if you have a flat area to practice. Without a flat area it took me a little bit longer, but no injuries were sustained at any point, and if I had a use for it besides being badass I'd keep it. If no one is interested in it, I'll just keep it and continue to be the biggest G riding around on a SBU V3.

I'm also trying to sell about $3,000 worth of Magic The Gathering cards. I've got a few of the higher value cards on Ebay, but plenty more I haven't sold yet. I'm also thinking of doing lots of rare/mythic cards if anyone is interested. Almost all are in near mint condition and are ($2/3+ cards) some $5ish or more. If anyone is looking to resell or just wants some cards, I'd hook them up.

37  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] Magic Cards, Sealed Packs, More coming. on: February 02, 2015, 04:13:24 AM
Since starting to play Magic casually with some friends, I have enjoyed trading and buying/selling the cards just as much as the gameplay, I'm starting this thread as a test for what could become MTGOX2, the second Original Magic the Gathering Online eXchange. My intentions are to use Bitcoin payment processing in order to provide the highest quality magic the gathering singles, packs, sealed product, and supplies at competitive prices with greater service than you can find anywhere else online.

As there was enough interest in my initial thread, I have started listing what cards I currently have for sale. Below is a Deckbox.org link which is a handy tool that lists current stock, alphabetizes them, shows their condition, what set they are from, and other necessary info. It also shows an average value of the cards, the caviat being this price is not set by me, but from what I have seen, it is pretty close to accurate, so consider it a quote. I'll give you a more than fair price, as I plan to undercut all retailers by virtue of lack of overhead, and accepting Bitcoin in addition traditional payment methods. My goal is to find the customer base here so that I may be able to provide the largest stock of singles and products possible. What I can provide that no one else can, is hobby shop person to person service, without the hobby shop overhead prices tacked on top. I intend to sell singles, decks, sets, and other products to look out for. I will provide free consultation for new players, factory prebuilt decks, custom tailored decks around playstyle and budget, fair and exciting mystery lots, bulk sales, and discounts for paying with your Bitcoins!

I will constantly be updating the Deckbox.org link with inventory as I obtain more cards, sell cards, and sort through more of my boxes. If there is something in particular you are looking for that I don't have listed, feel free to ask. If you have any questions/comments/concerns/general hate and discontent or feedback in general, please let me know. If there is any interest, I will make a more intuitive site, and streamline the process, rather than just having a classifieds post on the forums.

As promised, the list:
Picture View: https://deckbox.org/sets/894863?p=1&v=v
Table View: https://deckbox.org/sets/894863?v=l&f=#

Bear with me, as the list is a bit bare at the moment, I have a good chunk of my rares up there now, however I have a ton of cards to go with more coming in every day.

If you see something you like, shoot me a pm. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, general hate and discontent, etc please feel free to ask. If I don't have something listed that you are looking for, please don't hesitate to ask. I may have just not gotten around to listing it yet, or I may be able to find it for you cheaper than anywhere else!

UPCOMING PRODUCTS!
A lot more Mythics and Rares! (expected within the next few days)
Booster Boxes/Packs! (expected within the next few days)
Custom Built Metal/Wood deck Boxes and accessories (TBA)
Mystery Lots with Published odds, and valuable cards for more than just one winner!
