25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [XPOST] Darkest Dimecoin Dirty SHA256 on: August 09, 2015, 08:24:31 PM
ORIGINAL THREAD HERE:

http://bitcoingarden.tk/forum/index.php?topic=4304

This Coin was not launched here, I found the ANN elsewhere and posted it here, you should look in the original Thread for Announcements etc..

Specs

10,000 coins a block
Addresses start with the number 7
Trades as DIRT
2 minute blocks
Eetarget each block
10% up, 10% down
Halving at 500,000 blocks = 5,000 coins each block
Halving at 1,000,0000 (1 million) blocks = 2,500 coins each block
Halving at 1,500,000 (1.5 million) blocks = 1,250 coins each block

At block 1,590,00 (1.59 million) rewards cease, and miners are paid tx fees only + 10,000 dirtoshi (0.0001 coin a block)

Total money is therefore 8,761,250,000 (8.76 billion) + 800,000,000 which equals about  9,551,250,000 (9.5 billion)

DIMECOIN ETHOS FOLLOWED

In keeping with the ethos of dimecoin, we have also premined by 8% or 800,000,000 coins. This is to buy development work
with and build a team. Also giveaways will be conducted via the site and with agreement, the official site (in principle there should be no problem)

###Plus we mined 240 blocks to set up  a checkpoint server, which will go to the "giveaway"/About half of the premine will be handed out to strangers. If you want to promote a bit, you will get more than the average  punter.

__________________________________________________________
Make some DIRT in your spare time doing something you like doing.

We want this to be a pleasurable experience. Spread the work around, and see where we get. Technical or social skills plus some spare time is all that is required.

Still missing members for Team Darkest.

Are you good at any of these?

– Social Media (if you run Twitter and Facebook, you get a good reward). There must be a lot of social interaction. If you run it well for a month, that would be in the region of 10 million DIRT. If you hook an exchange, big pool, or generate a community of followers, then we would go up to 20 million.

– Blockexplorer, not a BlockCrawler (Abe would be fine). An hour's work, 5 million DIRT. If you host, negotiate more for yourself

– Bot maker, not a tip bot, something different, maybe website bot, or an e-books. If you do an ebooks, not too cheeky, an hour's work at 5 million DIRT. Same as above about hosting. Plus, if you have a unique idea, more negotiating

– Coin Maintenance anyone wants to keep it in check, a 5 million retainer for keeping the checkpoints updated at git and another 10 million if you update the wallet to something pretty

– Mining Pools

1 dedicated pool. It can be hosted on your server, but should be separate from other pools you might run. It would need a simple Bootstrap to make it pretty. (maybe sorted already).

An hour or so to set up a wee Nomp, not sure on the bootstrap. 5 million DIRT is yours. If you maintain/host it, negotiate yourself a deal.

– Arranging larger pool to include DIRT 5 million DIRT (includes pools themselves volunteering)

– Games (might have a couple already sorted

– Maybe a Faucet

– Maybe a Mac Wallet. Straightforward compile, 5 million DIRT.

– Shill payments (these can be through giveaways)

They would consist of bitcointalk work, tweeting, supporting us on social media, being an advocate at exchanges.

Very important. Are you a community builder? This ties in with the Twitter shiz above. It can be combined between a couple or more people. So potentially lucrative. 10 million to an ordinary shill who keeps this thread open, pro-shill should negotiate more.

** Mr Contact . if he is there, get negotiating.

Once this sorted, we go live and Joe Public can come along and claim some DIRT for free.

We can take the world by storm. Or at least make a point about a certain scamcoin, and hopefully some good comes from that.

As the dev is deleting my posts, as always, here in a free, unmoderated topic without any deleting:

Some folks requested a code review, I just skimmed the Code, I dont think much further looking is necessary, but make your own mind:

DNS seeds not necessary ? Smiley

You should set a proper Client Name at least:

https://github.com/VersaCrypto/Versa/blob/master/src/version.cpp#L11

You should REALLY change at least your pchMessageStart identifiers:

https://github.com/VersaCrypto/Versa/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L2868

LAST_POW_BLOCK in a POS only coin.. Rewards are confirmed being Zero though:

https://github.com/VersaCrypto/Versa/blob/master/src/main.h#L33

No checkpointing Server in Source... IMHO dangerous for a POS coin.

Maybe earlz could have a look over the code too, I'll just leave that post here for now.

Ah c'mon..

Let me guess..

C-cex or yobit..

Copyright laws are non existant in your country therefore you blatantly use Matrix pictures for the short life of the coin which dies immediately when ICO is over and the funds to you are released..

I really wonder why the topic isn't self moderated...

Be aware that the coin is just a crappy coingen clone with broken diff retarget, lots of blocks have already been instamined and there will probably never be any "TOR Market" from them..

Dev is deleting posts in "his" Thread so I post here...

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] ECASH Problems/Takeover with IGotSpots - be warned ! on: March 20, 2015, 09:20:56 PM
Hey folks,

as IGotSpots is simply not man enough to say he made a mistake and keeps deleting my honest posts in his ECASH Thread I think its unfortunately time to create a new thread and warn about what he's doing and his habits.

As some of you might remember, ECASH was released as a SHA256 coin with non-working POS at the end of the POW phase.

Some of the community members then contacted IGotSpots and me for fixing the Coin to get at least the coins to Exchanges since there were a lot of unconfirmed coins on the pools and I was one of those pools.

In this night we met at IRC and we both fixed the old Chain and prolonged the POW phase so all the unconfirmed coins could move to exchanges, I have that still in my github Repo: https://github.com/ocminer/ECASH-Old-PoWActive

After that worked, a swap date / block was worked out, it was more or less decided that the chain should stay pow mineable until block 10.000 where people then MUST have their coins at the exchanges - otherwise they would be lost.

I've posted a message on my pool that people will need to move their coins to the exchanges before that block - but suddenly, it was a weekend, the swap block was shortened to an earlier block and then the swap was already done invalidating the old wallet/coins. Unfortunately only about 90% of my coins were swapped, the rest of the users on my pool probably did not get the message that the swap was done earlier (including me) so their coins were lost.

This was the point where the shit hit the fan - I asked in the new ECASH Thread - as the coin was now run by IGotSpots - why the swap was done earlier and how I could swap the remaining coins. I expected something like:
"Sorry it was done earlier but of course we can just swap the old coins, send them to XXXXX and provide me a new address from the new chain and i'll just send them there..."

Instead of that I was answered in a bad manner, something like "We decided to swap earlier - You were not there, I tried to reach you in IRC - you did not answer - everyone who did not move their coins earlier is a turd - nothing can be swapped anymore..."

My response that it was weekend and some folks still have a real life beside Crypto did not count unfortunately.

So I bought the missing coins for my pool and paid out the new coins ...

Unfortunately the story did not end here, as it turned out that IGotSpots has (had) a big stack of the coin and he would surely be able to swap the missing coins as it would only be around 55-60k but he simply refused to swap and after that came out he also attacked several users in "his" self-moderated thread calling them assholes, wanting to "knock your teeth through your face" and much more stuff like this.. Read it all here (click through the pages):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=983694.msg10835651  (Made a lot of screenshots too, don't worry).

All my tries turning things to the good and doing a "shakehands" failed so I posted this in a separate thread.

I guess his trust-rating is already speaking for itself, of course he gives fake ratings back, which confirms his habits..

Be aware and I'm sorry where all this ended.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / InstaMineNuggets is a Coingen Clone, over 3k Blocks mined with low-diff on: February 25, 2015, 10:09:48 PM
Since they are deleting my posts in "their" topic:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=964083

Be aware that this is a just a bad scrypt coingen clone, diff retarget does not work/kick in until block 3000, so like the name implies, there is a huge instamine of the first ~3000 Blocks.

If you're feeling thats legit, mine the hell out of it - I would not touch it with a 10feet pole :-)

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Which Motherboard for 6 x 750ti ? on: January 31, 2015, 05:09:46 PM
Hey folks,

sorry for opening a new post, but since there a so many Motherboard-Threads here and the search is still not working I though I simply open another one :-)

I'm currently mostly working with Asrock 970 Extreme3 and Extreme4 Motherboards and i'm testing a few Gigabytes but I'd like to run 6 (or more) 750ti's in one rig, which Board would you recommend ? I dont want to use 6 PCIEx1 -> 16 risers obviously.. So a few risers are okay, but not all of them Smiley

Thanks for any tips.
