1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Retainly - RETN token on: June 24, 2018, 08:27:57 PM
Hello, have you heard about Retainly? They have raised about one million dollars in their pre sale. They have working product -cashbacks - but why we need cashback on the blockchain and why we need this kind of token? Who will buy this token?
ICO price was 0.52USD but now you can buy this token only for 0.00462USD. Do you know some news about this coin? Because on telegram there are no news.
I will be very thankful if you can tell me some news or ideas about this project.
Because I am loosing a lot of money and thinking about selling all of my tokens.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / YoShit Coin resurrection, anyone interested? on: August 17, 2017, 02:05:13 AM
The name alone is a great reason to keep Yoshitcoin alive Grin

The original thread is here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2039528.180

Unfortunately it looks the OP has buggered off after making a couple of dollars, Yoshit is very cheap in the ltc, doge and moon markets at novaexchange.

Lets keep yoshit alive  Grin
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Globe Rev1 on: June 04, 2016, 06:30:50 PM
@ALL,

I am also posting on behalf of Incognitoworker and his Team, he was in Hospital recently.
I am involved in this large Team and a new OP is on its way with full disclosure
of who the teams are in the coming 1 to 2 weeks and wanted to post this info again.

"As Incognitoworker Promised, We are taking over GLOBE for future greatness, revived the blockchain
and Bittrex will be relisting it most likely by Monday or early next week.

GLOBE is being reborn into greatness by a fantastic Team, this is the first step.
Support the Project. Support the Network by your mining GLOBE.
In the coming days and weeks there will be further announcements.
NOTE:
This is not some scam takeover of a scam we are all too familiar with.
This is legit, a long term project.
Happy Mining!
 Smiley"

MINING-QuiBit-simplified version:
Get mining in a few simple steps.

To start mining Global:
1) Download the global.zip from: https://mega.nz/#!4IZGjTiD!0ztfvJKEE_GtV-f4zxuzw4qVNo-27Oit4UE8IFpj_sA
2) Extract to %appdata% ( c:\users\<user id>\appdata\roaming
3) Download the Miner.zip from : https://mega.nz/#!hNRiwQCL!5YNx0LZQZJ9vb5nlXmLQ2_f0cA9CWuw0BdEGIlDC0RU
4) extract to c:\
5) Doubleclick c:\global\global-qt.exe to open the wallet
6) Wait for it to sync the blockchain
7) Double click c:\global\miner.bat to start mining

MINING-QuiBit-full manual:

1) Download the wallet.
2) Extract the zip into a directory - eg c:\global
3) open DOS box, cd to your directory and run: global-qt -addnode=216.165.179.42 -addnode=216.165.179.43 -rpcuser=user -rpcpassword=password -rpcport=19556 -server
4) That'll start the wallet and have it accept mining requests.
5) Download the miner from: https://github.com/tpruvot/cpuminer-multi/releases

github.com
tpruvot/cpuminer-multi
cpuminer-multi - crypto cpuminer (linux + windows)
6) Extract it to a directory - eg c:\global\miner
7) cd to that directory and run: cpuminer-x64.exe -o http://localhost:19556 --userpass=user:password -a qubit
Cool Congratulations you're now mining - or will be when the wallet syncs. You may need to restart it a couple of times to complete the initial sync, it gets hung up sometimes.

Here is a workable version of the .conf:
Some could figure it out.

8  Other / Meta / which bitcoin addresses have precedence, old or new on: October 12, 2015, 08:57:59 PM
If someone claimed their account was hacked or they forgot the password, and they posted a signed message from a bitcoin address from 2 years ago, but the current owner is able to post a signed message from 6 months ago, which one would take precedence and who would get the account, the guy with the old address or the guy with the newer address?
9  Other / Politics & Society / Self-Driving Cars Could Save 300,000 Lives Per Decade in America on: October 03, 2015, 07:57:50 PM
I found something quite cool to share. In the next decade, you might have the chance of buying a self-driving car. And those self-driving cars will be saving hundreds of thousands of lives in the US alone. That's according to new research that shows that self-driving cars could save 29,447 lives a year.

You can read more about it in this article: http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2015/09/self-driving-cars-could-save-300000-lives-per-decade-in-america/407956/
