1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / GPUs are not being sold as fast as used to be on: June 17, 2021, 04:35:43 AM
BTC still at 40,000$ and etherium at 2400$ close to all time high but 2 GPUs I sold on ebay and craigslist are not selling anymore. Beacuse eth is abandoning POW? There are plenty other coins mined by GPU right?? Just wondering...  Huh
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / eth POS mining end??? on: June 07, 2021, 09:07:33 PM
Is this real for this time?Huh
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / LHR version of nvidia, will it cause even more shortage of cards sold prior? on: May 21, 2021, 12:05:36 AM
Nvidia said they will reduce the hash rate of future manufacturing cards to like 30x0 lines and will be marked with LHR (light hash rate). But then, will not even cause more shortage of available mining cards that was manufactured and sold on the market prior to? Forget about cards, if hash rate of future cards are halved, then it is like supply of hash rate hardware being halved from now on and may stoke more demands on pre-existing cards?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / WALLETs supporting easy to exchange ETC on: May 06, 2021, 09:23:11 PM
ETC is over the roof due to recent run-up, I have some to exhcnage back to BTC, but the wallets I am holding 1. coinomi 2. exodus is not allowing ETC. Is there any wallets out there either (windows or android) that currently supports swapping ETC with major cryptos i.e. BTC/ETH/LTC or ZEC?
i DONT wanna do through any exchanges because I dont trust 'em.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / mining using MI line of cards on: April 29, 2021, 06:25:52 PM
I bought AMd's MI-25 for mining but also for other purposes. But it has no active cooling system and expects the server to provide cooling. I dont have budget to get expensive server so planning to use on my desktop systems. I am wondering what is the best blower type I can get for MI? Anyone has done?
Due to form factor and design of the casing cooling direction must be from the back of the card to front providing airflow across the length of the card not like consumer GPUs where fan is situated on top of GPU. Well consumer card's fan does or should provide airflow across the length of GPU but MI's external casing suggests there is no opening on the sides of the casing, only way for air to enter is back or front of the card.

So it has to be connected to the back of the card and obviously can not be inside the PC case.
I amlooking somethinglike following:

6  Bitcoin / Legal / pursuing legal matters with certain coin on: April 21, 2021, 06:45:05 PM
sorry this is for altcoin however it is also legal. I could not find legal subsection for altcoin. I am ok to move to other more appropriate topic.
I am having major difficulty with restoring account with binance and few other tokens. I am in need of legal assistance as those entities has no physical address in the USA and evasive with their contact ifnormation. Any has any expert law attorney office handling the crypto legal matters? Class action?

Thanks.,
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to determine suitability and efficiency of GPU mining from spec [discussion] on: April 20, 2021, 08:16:18 PM
I am looking at several factors, memory size, FP32/64. Which one is important?
I compared specs for several AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, it is rumored that AMD's GPUs are speicially suited for Cryptomining, but why?
It appears answer is in FP64 speed. (double floating point). Does mining software extensively use these calculations a lot?
Because in general AMD GPU's ratio of FP64 to FP32 is double the nvidia's.
Lot of AMD GPU's, for example, VEGA56,64 has  FP64/32 ratio of 16 whereas likes of 1080/2080 Nvidia is 32.
Select AMD GPU's MI lines i.e. MI50//MI60/MI100 has ratio of whopping 2 only meaning its FP64 ratio is monstrious.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining using quadro professional card on: February 28, 2021, 04:35:04 AM
I bought some Quadro 4000 RTX series. It looks so tiny including the tiny fan compared to normal gaming card and heat seems more pronounced when mining. Has anyone been mining with htese cards? Is it safe to do so?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / What remedy if exchanges keep abusing, lock of acc, belligerent on acc recovery on: February 20, 2021, 07:16:54 PM
I had posted about saga with Binance, now with NPXS wallet I am getting same thing. I went through all the hoops, having my personal information being violated by sending far more information than needed (driver license, phone bill, selfie) and still automated e-mail arriving that problem with one of the documents. I had done several times and apparently it is being belligerent. I have requested customer service to NPXS https://support.pundix.com/hc/en-us/requests/new but little hope as live customer service has been quite abusive with binance so not much hope with but i am waiting. I am expecting worst as when they keep demanding unreasonable demands and keeping the wallet locked and unable to access.

For Binance, I have filed BBB.org complaint as they had US office and they havent responded so BBB advised me to reach out to attorney general for next step. For NPXS I am not sure even they have US presence. What remedy could be possible if NPXS keep doing the same thing??? Any leverage? If they keep doing, once pandemic over,I am actually thinking over to if there is any  tradeshows for crypto and approach their booth and start making noise and complaints and then if media is presence, report the issues and abuse I am going through...

If more people is gettin scammed like this, it would be better more people voiced together.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / form factor for rtx20/30 series? on: February 20, 2021, 04:31:42 AM
I purchased several of 2070/2080/3090 but they dont fit into my ATX case. It appears all of them has body extending more than the length of the PCIe bracket rendering physically impossible to put in my standard ATX case. And mine is not mini-ATX it is fairly bulky.

I am assuming there is an extended ATX factor which is bigger than normal, I guess that is the compatible form factor?

14  Economy / Marketplace / selling on CL, cash, venmo? on: February 04, 2021, 08:51:18 AM
I have had plenty of CL listing for GPU on craigslist and purchased several using venmo and crypto.
Now I wanna sell some GPU back on CL.
But I am accepting venmo or cash, but when I think of it, both seems risky,
cash: counterfeir, shoudl meet near bank and deposit on the spot?
venmo: I heard about horror story about paypal on CL where people will pay through paypal and ask to ship cross country and only after shipped, buyer claims paypal transaction is unauthorized and all hell break loose. Even though, scammer (buyer) do not succeed on this, it is hell of a trouble to deal with paypal, totally understandable. Can something like this happen through venmo?

I am wrapping my heads aruond this when I become a seller, as a buyer I aint no problem since I obviously do not counterfeit cash, or B.S. on venmo or paypal, dont even know how it (dispute) is even done.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / is this motherboard on sale? Does not seem to need PCIe cables for mining on: January 30, 2021, 08:04:54 AM

Any intel on availability and price?
16  Economy / Marketplace / Pissed off at ebay policy, where to sell buy good place for GPU trading? on: January 24, 2021, 07:28:55 PM
Fucking pissed at ebay, sure tons of traders to after maintaining good account standing for years, they start to abuse my accuont. I am looking at other alternatives with better rating (other than amazon), for just GPU buy/sell, I wonder what is the good place that avoids scamm as well? Redditt??
17  Economy / Exchanges / is it a pattern of new scam: in the name of KYC, lock their fund. on: January 21, 2021, 02:22:02 AM
It is happening on several exchanges I dealt with: worst offenders are binance, and also bad enough: xwallet and potentially cryptopedia.
I understand KYC is important but lot of times, the login fails to work at one point and restoring password is incredibly difficult or impossible as these exhanges refuse to unlock citing KYC, security after going through their standard verification process and asking for more.

Binance asked me to send me a VIDEO of myself after going through extensive verification to restore my password that stopped working after taking several weeks back and forth e-mail with their cust. service. I cited privacy concern and whether their next stage of their verification will be a the video of my dicks or some private part and they stopped responding.

Cryptopedia went bust however recent e-mail had some obstruction instruction to do a claim and some web url that does not work. Contacting their cust. service replied with half-baked answers. Then disclaimer says if you dont claim within blah blah blah date, you forfeit your fund.

Xwallet also sent me a refusal to unlock after went through all of their password restoration verification process.

This is getting unwieldy.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / did POW etherium mining stopped yet? on: January 05, 2021, 06:20:24 AM

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / eth staking started? When will gpu mining will end if ever? on: December 06, 2020, 10:28:00 AM

20  Economy / Currency exchange / option trading using bitcoin on: November 17, 2020, 01:39:12 AM
I do a lot of stock option trading and few years back used deribit for bitcoin option trading. Although it is not most convenient, it was possible to make a trade on deribit using option features as a hedge. Now, few years later, I tried to do the same but they no longer allows US resident.

Any other trading platform for options? Be reminded it is not actually buying selling bitcoin, it is rather derivative called option contract.

THanks.,
