Swarm Fund platform just launched yesterday! It also started trading on Bancor network. Read about it here https://blog.swarm.fund/jan29/Important! Newly registered users in this week get some free airdrop SWM! Basically, on their platform you can invest into real world asset funds using crypto. Right now you can invest in two investments opportunities on their platform (more to come): - Silicon Valley Coin (SVC): A $250 million fund managed by Andra Capital, a technology growth fund focused on late-stage investments, specifically in the Silicon Valley private technology sector, including well-known brands such as Airbnb, Lyft, Dropbox, Uber, SpaceX, Pinterest, and more.
- Needle-in-a-Haystack Coin (NIAH): A $20 million distressed real estate fund, managed by Niah Fund, that uses AI and workflow automation to identify target properties, automatically make purchase offers on qualifying homes, and deploy teams to service and prepare the properties for renting.
Looking good What do you think about it?

Carefull when dealing with HitBTC at the moment. Lots of people (including me) experience extremely delayed withdrawals with some random transaction ID that is not valid. Deposits also not showing up. EDIT: deposit showed up. Withdrawal of XEM was instant & successfull. Lisk withdrawal is back in my wallet. Nice.EDIT2: They have system health on their website. You can check statuses of wallets and pending pools there. Very awsome and +1 for such transparency.

Hello, i am starting this thread to learn in one place, about all the coins (i can't really phrase myself) that have potential of generating you more coins with leasing them or just owning them.
A prime example of this is ByteBall, which will give you 0.2 new bytes for each 1 byte you own on 9th of July. Other coin i know of is Waves, where you can lease your coins to a pool, and get in return about 1% of your lease each week (based on transaction fees, ...).
Any others?

Are there such things for different wallets? Like for example, i would want to make a new Jaxx wallet, but not go through the process of downloading it, installing and then receiving deposit address, but just send an API call, and receive deposit address alongside with credentials needed to "restore" the wallet? Just post if you know any wallets that would do this, doesn't matter which coin. Thanks

What do you guys think about Byteball? Another round of free GBYTEs is going to happen on 9th of July, where you will get 0.2 new GBYTE for each 1 GBYTE you already own, or you can just connect your wallet with BTC, and receive some GBYTEs for that. Based on that, i think the price should rise all the way up to 9th of July, and then drop a little, because some people will try to sell what they received.
How do you like the features? Do you use it?

Okay, will the next halving really matter? All i see is people talking about it and waiting to happen, "the price will rise", "to the moon". But what will really happen after the halving?
Right now, there are about 15 million Bitcoins "alive". The Bitcoin cap is 21 millions. So it is true, the block reward will get sliced to half, but there will be only 6 million Bitcoins left to mine. And because of this, i dont think the price will rise by that much.
My predictions would be: 1. Everyone waiting for the price increase after halving 2. Price increase doesnt happen 3. PANIC 4. ...
So this is just my opinion. Please post yours in the replys. What do you expect after halving and why?

What do you think about it? The price is currently rising, over 300% in the last month and Safecoin hasnt been released yet.

What do you guys think about the promising altcoins? Ethereum, Decred, Dash,... do you believe any will rise in the next days, will it become bigger than Bitcoin? Post your speculations about altcoins here.

As the title says, will it always be dependent on fiat currencies like €, $, ...? Because right now, you always convert before paying. So when you buy a TV, it costs 800$ so that means 1.8 BTC. And by that i dont see how can it become independant? It is just like gold, which cannot be used by itself.
So is my thinking true, or can the prices in the future be projected just through BTC; like you buy a TV and the price is 1.8 BTC. You buy bread, price 0.003 BTC .
I really dont know about these things so thats why i want to hear your knowledge on this.

I myself use 3 different wallets. One is on my Android device, one on my desktop PC and one online.
The one i like the most is on my desktop, MultiBit. I like it because you can quicky generate new deposit adresses and keep track of your incomes and outcomes. I only use Blockchain for some payments, and on my mobile phone i have MyCelium wallet, which i use for mobile/QR code scanning payments.
What wallets do you use and which one do you prefer and why?

I came to figure out, why would a consumer/customer use Bitcoins? You have to pay the 3 cent fee, while you dont have to pay anything when paying with a credit card.
So what is really a benefit for using Bitcoins, customer wise?
