1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Gekkoscience “smarthub”??? on: December 02, 2023, 02:09:07 PM
Found this on ebay and thought I would bring peoples attention to it. Being part of the forum and owning genuine gekkoscience products I haven’t heard of anything of the sort from sidehack and the team. Just a headsup that its using the gekkoscience brand to mislead people into thinking its their product.

2  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB (UK) S9J 14.5Th Hashboards on: January 11, 2021, 06:32:19 PM
I'm after 3 working S9j 14.5Th hashboards.

Need to be shipped to the UK so price would need to include shipping. I'm asking for just the hashboards to save the cost of shipping the extra weight of fans, controller etc as they wont be needed.

I'm not willing to pay stupid/ebay prices which have gone insane. Sensible offers only as this isn't going to make me money, just something to waste some lockdown time on.

Thanks.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash ETH hashrate dropped on: October 14, 2020, 07:24:21 PM
So ive been running nicehash on my pc when its not in use to earn a couple of $$. Today I noticed that instead of the usual 40+Mh my 1080ti gets its dropped to 22Mh with the same settings in AB.

Any one have any ideas why?
4  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] [UK] PSU, Fans, Hashboards on: September 12, 2020, 04:16:32 PM
I have some spares from a couple of S9's (13.5Th) that I don't need anymore.

4x 120x38mm fans (vary from 1.65a to 2.7a) so varying speeds but there is a pair of the same speed.
3x S9 V4.21m hashboards all from the same machine.
1x Bitmain APW3++ 1600w psu (with spare set of clean pcie cables)

Only down side is they were used in immersion cooling by the previous owner. I have tried my best to remove all the residual mineral oil (with quite a few cans of electrical contact cleaner) but some still remains.

Open to offers but only from UK residents as they simply aren't worth shipping abroad.

Cheers.

Anyone replaced the fan in the APW3++ Psu? Its now the noisiest part of my setup
6  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] [UK] S9 Data/Ribbon Cables. on: September 03, 2020, 10:15:27 PM
Hi,

Anyone in the UK/EU have good condition 18pin Ribbon cables spare for an S9?

The three I have on a recently acquired secondhand S9 have broken latches so although they work, im not 100% sure about them.

Thanks.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Moving BTC address to hardware wallet on: June 21, 2020, 10:42:59 AM
Hi everyone,

I don’t frequent this section often but thought it the best area for this particular question. I have a blockchain wallet with a couple of my addresses in. One of which I use for my main “traffic” of transactions. Is there a way to move the address from my blockchain wallet to a ledger nano so I don’t lose the address (vanity address)?

Thanks.
8  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB 2.5” 1Tb NAS Drive x4 on: February 22, 2020, 04:28:06 PM
Looking to buy 4x 1TB 2.5” NAS drives for a Raspi Nas I’m going to be building.

Just wondered if anyone has any spare/not needed that I could purchase.

Will need to be shipped to the UK.
9  Economy / Computer hardware / {WTS}{UK} Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) 3000mhz CL15.......2 kits on: June 12, 2019, 08:24:20 PM
I've got two kits of the above for sale. Both White versions. I had them in my ATX build for about a year but switching to an ITX build and switching ram as the new mobo only has two slots.

Open to decent offers. Shipping to the US would make it far more expensive than you can get from amazon.com (currently $97). Not sure on EU prices though but in the UK they are around £105.

Payment via BTC or ETH. Escrow is welcome but paid for buy the buyer (as its a small transaction), although I have enough feedback from various members to put your mind at ease.
10  Economy / Computer hardware / {WTB} LGA1151 Z270 Itx Motherboard on: May 23, 2019, 07:55:33 PM
I'm after a Z270 ITX Motherboard. Preferably complete with all packaging, manuals, cables etc.

I'm planning on doing a new build for my nephew but obviously want it to be as cheap as possible, so asking you lovely folks if you have a spare one lying around. It will need to be shipped to the UK.

Preferably it would be a higher end one along the lines of the Asus Strix (but doesnt have to be one of those) as he will be gaming on it and he likes the bragging rights to his friends.

So if you've got one and want to sell it then comment in here and maybe we can sort something out.

Thanks.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / **WARNING** New Nicehash Legacy on: February 17, 2019, 10:18:55 PM
Just as a heads up to everyone who is mining at home on a pc just to make a few bucks using nicehash.

I have been running there miner for a while and no issues at all. This evening i decided to see if they had any updates. Upon looking at their site I saw that they no longer updae their own miner but instead are focusing on the legacy varient which utilizes 3rd party mining software. So I duly downloaded it and added the various mining software to my antivirus exclusion list (as I have done many times with rigs with no problems). Then I proceeded to benchmark the gpus (which as most of you know is needed before you start to mine). Well it got to 4/76 and then my pc froze. Switched it off and on again and now it wont post. Cant even get into the bios with both gpus removed completely.

Just a warning to anyone considering using it. Im not saying its to blame but it is the only thing that I have changed on my pc for months and suddenly this has happened.

EDIT:-

After removing both gpus and clearing cmos I have finally managed to get into the bios and then run windoze in safe mode to remove nicehash legacy.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash 2.0.2.8 white screen on: January 09, 2019, 08:18:31 PM
So we had a powercut today and my pc (formerly a gpu rig) was switched off. When I got home and switched it back on I am having trouble starting the nicehash miner. It loads up until the “Querying cuda devices” then the window goes white and stays like it. I have reinstalled it twice (both clean installs) and still the same issue. Anyone have any similar experiences?
15  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] EVGA 1080ti SC ICX Backplate on: November 20, 2018, 11:57:29 AM
Hi everyone,

I know this is a bit of a long shot but as anyone got a spare original backplate for an EVGA 1080ti SC (Dual Fan) backplate. I dont particularly want a perspex/acrylic one as I want a metal one to still act as a heat dissipater.

Cheers.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash miner “handshake” issue?? on: September 13, 2018, 05:16:16 PM
So i get home from work today and see that my hobby rig is in a loop saying the “nhmp: handshake: end of stream (1)”. Then is disconnects. Restarted the rig and restarted my router (just incase) but made no difference. According to the nicehash stats page it started this at 12:00pm (approximately 6hours ago).

Anyone have a similar thing going on with their rigs?

P.S. I know nicehash isnt some of you guys favourite company but its quick and easy for me and doesnt require checking into the rig too often....well apart from today  Roll Eyes

Cheers.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Dps-2000bb/2500bb breakout board compatiblity on: August 07, 2018, 08:37:40 PM
Hi,

Just a quick question.

Im looking at other psus to power my gpu rigs and stumbled across an IBM 1975w Emerson. From what I can see the connections look like they will take the dps2000bb/2500bb breakout board but just wanted to ask you knowledable lot to confirm it.

I dont need a psu over 2000w really as each rig doesnt draw more then 960w but the Emerson doesnt look like it requires any other fans to be attached.

Im currently using a 1500w HP common slot and the small fan really screams in this heat. The larger fan on the Emerson would be perfect for cooling.

Any help greatly appreciated.
