21  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] 2013 .1 BTC Bit-Card complete set (6 cards), REDEEMED/EMPTY on: June 19, 2017, 10:33:00 PM
This auction is for a complete set of six 2013 Bit-Cards denominated 100 mBTC (.1 BTC). This represents one each of their stock designs. They have been kept in storage and are in very good condition, but they HAVE BEEN REDEEMED and are EMPTY, as well as having hologram residue on the front.

These are really high-quality cards, with great graphics, quality holograms, printing and multi-layer plastic meant to enhance security. Their website was here, but it has been down for maintenance for a long time and I do not believe these cards are made any longer. They made a great product.

Bids are for the whole set of six. No bids on individual cards.

This is the 1st of two auctions for redeemed Bit-Cards which I am holding. Please do not get them confused.

Starting bid: .001 BTC
Bid increments: .001 BTC
End time: Monday 6/26/2017 at 6:00 PM ET (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/new-york)

Sniping: Last-minute bids will cause the auction end time to be extended so that the auction ends 30 minutes after the last bid.

Shipping: US shipping is .003 BTC. Buyer pays international shipping, rate to be determined (shipping from US). Escrow is welcome, but fees must be paid by the buyer.

Reputable bidders only.

24  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] 2013 PBC (Microsoul) 1 BTC coin [REDEEMED/EMPTY] on: June 05, 2017, 06:56:20 PM
This auction is for one 2013 PBC (Microsoul) 1 BTC piece. It has been redeemed & contains no bitcoin.

This coin is in great condition, with some light spotting and dust (see pictures).

Rather than the hologram and paper-with-private key model normally used by physical bitcoins, this had a sticker on the back concealing a code etched into the back of the coin: with a few character changes, it became a functioning private key. I obscured the code on the back, even though it's empty, because it seemed like the right thing to do.

This was a bold design that had a larger-than-life feel to it. Wouldn't this look great attached to chain and worn as a medallion? Yes, it would.

This is an uncommon coin and would be a great addition to any collection.

25  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] Nolacoin 3 BTC piece REDEEMED/EMPTY on: May 30, 2017, 05:24:41 PM
This auction is for one Nolacoin 3 BTC piece. It has been redeemed & contains no bitcoin.

This was a beautiful design, and the mirror finish is in great shape. The back has sticky hologram goop on it. The private keys for these were laser-etched into the metal both alphanumerically and as a QR code -- I obscured the key, even though it is empty, because I guess it just seemed wrong somehow to post a picture of a private key online.

One doesn't see many of these, and it would be a great addition to a collection.

This auction is only for the 3 BTC piece, but I do have redeemed 1BTC and .5BTC pieces from the same creator, PM me with offers if interested. (Whether or not they go up for auction depends on how this one goes.)

27  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] Kialara Labyrinth #03 on: May 21, 2017, 04:20:57 PM
This auction is for one 2015 Kialara Labyrinth unfunded bitcoin wallet, #03. I am the original owner.

This Labyrinth is in excellent condition and has been stored in its original sleeve, rarely removed.

You're thinking, "What a great low #!"  Yup, I managed to win this in Max's contest for the best time for solving the puzzle back in 2015. I almost lost my mind doing so, because this thing is difficult. So why part with such a (literal) prize? Well, it might sound odd, but I spent so long trying to come up with that low time that I'm sentimental about the other (higher-numbered) Labyrinth I used for that. It's practically a part of me!

So, here goes!

28  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] 2015 Kialara Silver #224 on: May 15, 2017, 03:14:47 AM
This auction is for one 2015 Kialara Silver unfunded bitcoin wallet, #224. I am the original owner.

This Kialara is in excellent condition and has been stored in its original sleeve, rarely removed.

These are really beautiful pieces. With these, the creator Max Mellenbruch updated the original (now-classic) Kialara design to include a .999 fine silver medallion in the center, a 1 BTC denomination, and mirror-finish stainless steel trim which, in addition to being gorgeous, increases the weight of the piece. As everyone knows, heavier things feel more awesome.

There are not many of these out there, and I really hate to give this one up. Nonetheless, here goes.

29  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] 2013 bhCoin series 2 (funded) #0114 on: May 10, 2017, 06:30:59 PM
This auction is for one funded 2013 nickel-plated brass bhCoin .1 BTC piece. I am the original owner.

This coin arrived from the manufacturer with light scuffing on the "BTC". Since I received an identical coin with exactly the same wear marks, I suspect this occurred during shipping from the creators, since these were originally shipped in oversize capsules which allowed the coins to slide around (during their trip from Argentina). Otherwise, it occurred during manufacture, as I have kept them in new, foam-ringed airtites since I received them. Frankly, the imperfections didn't seem like such a big deal when the face value was roughly equivalent to ~$10.  Undecided I *suspect* this type of wear was common for these coins.

Nonetheless, this is a handsome coin, and uncommon. I believe the number of these made was very small (I thought 100? Anyone have that info?), though I can't find the exact number now. This is a great addition to any collection.

30  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] 2014 Kialara original series #1025 on: May 06, 2017, 04:24:12 PM
This auction is for one 2014 Kialara original series unfunded bitcoin wallet, #1025.

This Kialara is in excellent condition and has been stored in its original sleeve. I doubt that I've removed it from its sleeve more than twice -- including doing so to take these pictures. This is a beautiful object, and the design and craftsmanship are really impressive.

32  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] Christmas Special! Aluminum 1st Edition Trezor on: December 23, 2016, 09:41:39 PM
This auction is for one rare 1st edition aluminum-body Trezor -- "The Bitcoin Safe"! I am the original owner.

It is in like-new condition, though it has been opened. It will arrive reset, blank & with original packaging and accessories.

The Trezor was the first Bitcoin hardware wallet, and it is arguably still the best, with widespread support and an active development team. It is usable with the MyTrezor.com Chrome extension, as well as wallets such as Electrum, Multibit HD, and Mycelium (Mycelium is especially powerful, since as a smartphone app it lets you scan QR codes). It can also be used as a secure, password-less login device at supported sites.

Why is it so expensive? It isn't. This is a rare item, and the original price when new was 3 BTC, so by that measure this is a radical markdown. But if the reserve price is too steep for you, just don't bid & move along -- I won't be offended.  Smiley This is a beautiful and special item and it's worth at least that much to me, so even if there are no takers, I'll be perfectly content.

36  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-01-10] KeepKey review: the Cadillac of hardware wallets on: January 10, 2016, 09:41:49 PM
My review of the KeepKey, with pics.

"It’s nice when things feel as substantial and important as their function. Any reputable hardware wallet is a great idea for keeping bitcoin secure, but despite their utility some can feel insubstantial in your hand, almost cheap.

The KeepKey, though, looks and feels like something that would be at home on a CEO’s desk."

39  Economy / Auctions / Lealana 10 LTC .5-oz silver pieces x 2, series one w/error on: May 27, 2014, 03:09:39 PM
I am auctioning off a set of 2 Lealana 10 LTC .5-oz silver coins from series one.
In these series one coins, there is a slight bulge in the hologram over the private keys, as the coins did not have a deep enough depression for the keys. This error was fixed in later Lealana coins.
They are in like-new condition, and will ship in the original blue leatherette case. I will not break the set.

I am holding this auction on eBay, however, so this post is just a notification that it's happening. The ebay auction is here, if you'd like to learn more.

Please do not bid here.

Thank you for looking.
