1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Celebrities advertise scam ICO again on: February 27, 2020, 04:43:25 PM
SEC fined Steven Seagal for advertising ICO. The actor did not disclose information about the funds received for the promotion of the project, which could mislead investors, the Commission explained.

Since the ICO, the price of the Bitcoiin2Gen token advertised by Segal has fallen by 99%.

do you think celebrities know that they advertise scam projects or they just don’t understand what they are doing? I think this is a big problem for the market
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / My opinion about what we see now in the Altcoin market on: January 14, 2020, 04:31:07 PM
Today, the price of bitcoin rose to $ 8,700 and many altcoins also bring high profits, which is already very unusual for many people in this market. in many telegram channels, I see the information that the market has become bullish and now we will only move up, but I strongly disagree with this. Now a very dangerous situation. in the near future we can very sharply begin to fall in price because of such growth as today there are no strong fundamental factors. I can be wrong and therefore I write my opinion here. I am interested in hearing the opinions of people who do not just write in their telegram channels for the people read, but I am interested in the opinions of those people who already understand cryptocurrency and understand what kind of tricky market it is.

What do you think about prices in the Altcoin market? where do we go next?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum after hard fork Istanbul on: January 08, 2020, 11:39:32 AM
In 2020, the ETH hard fork was successful. The capacity of the protocol after the hard fork has reached 9,000 transactions per second.

This is a 4 times increase in capacity. preparing the project for the transition to POS is going very well. this year I expect that ETH will show a lot more good news.
For everyone who has just entered the market and is looking for information about which coin you can invest your money now, now I would like to attach your attention to ETH. For a long time, I did not buy this coin because I did not see any positive news, but now I am changing my mind.

Maybe other participants of the forum will try to dissuade me from buying this coin? Or now everyone going to buy ETH now?
4  Economy / Speculation / My opinion about the price movement of BTC on: January 07, 2020, 12:03:20 PM
Hello to everyone who is trying to trade bitcoin today! do you think today's price increase was organic? I look at how the situation is developing and I see that there was already a triple bottom, but we also see the figure "head and shoulders", the main thing is that the goals for the triple bottom can be considered achieved
My goals were
8050-8150
But we should always look at the chart more globally. and if we look at global goals, then for me they look like this:
8770-9050

Now we have gone beyond the important level of 7730+, there was a predictable growth, and the indicators led to this and the red flat!

In the end, I want to say that it is very important not to forget that if we look globally there is still a very high chance that the price will return back below 7 thousand dollars. The next level we need to break is 8800

You can say and write that the movement has begun and it will be true!

P.S. this is a cryptocurrency market and everything can change at 1 day, so you should never forget about this!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The reason why you need to store your money in your hands! on: January 01, 2020, 03:19:00 PM
It is reported that exchanges began to freeze accounts for having been on the accounts of a "dirty" Bitcoin. Moreover, we are talking about Binance and about the Bitcoin, which was there 5 months ago. Sad Thus, exchanges can freeze any amount of funds in order to cover cash gaps simply by tinkering with their user's transaction history. If suddenly a user once bought from someone a “dirty” BTC on OTC, send it on the exchange and then conducted operations with other BTC there for a long time, then at one moment he can get a ban and the exchange can don't give him money as much time Exchange wants.  Embarrassed I think it can affect everyone. so I share this info with you guys because I recommend you hold your money ONLY in your own wallets! so be careful and Happy New Year!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Fidelity news! on: October 20, 2019, 07:34:55 PM
Fidelity Digital Asset Services has announced the full launch of its cryptocurrency custodial and trading services for qualified investors.

So, maybe it is the sign that after some time we will see some growth?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining in winter rules on: January 19, 2014, 10:26:55 AM
Well at least one good side of winter. Freezing your *** off outside being a bad one.

~150W input isn't too shabby for a 7970 at 700kh. The VRMs are around 85% efficient at these temps it seems.

Another rig closer to the window has the outer card running at 25C load  Cheesy
10  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Odd 7970 behavior (throttling) on: September 14, 2013, 07:10:38 AM
One of my 7970s has developed a rather annoying trait, after a few hours it will drop to 1/2 to 1/3rd the normal hash rate. If I open up MSI AB, move the "power target" slider and hit apply the hash rate will go back to normal for a few hours. Doesn't matter if it's at +1%, +10% or +25%, after a while the card will throttle again. This is at 62C core temp at 0.98V undervolted by the way. Not like it matters, it does the same at any speed and voltage. The other cards in the same rig keep hashing on just fine without needing the power target reset.

It's a non-ref Sapphire card (blue PCB) anyone ever had something like this?
