1  Economy / Securities / [CLOSED] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 10, 2013, 10:22:24 PM
 UPDATE: 8.29 05:28

Trading is closed and the buyback is complete.

Thank you everyone for your support. We are sorry we were not able to make this happen.

HOSTED-MINING

Hi all,

We just had an executive meeting. Our CFO shared some numbers with me through his calculation.

Since Alydian's hashpower is priced in USD, the number of coins we need to complete the purchase decreases as the price of Bitcoin goes up.

With the current Bitcoin price @ BitStamp, which is the exchange we are following, the number of coins needed has been reduced down to 3,800-3,900 Bitcoins (around 13,500 shares). (Figures will be available in a spreadsheet to public once the contract is signed.)

This means we can get the deal @ around 0.38btc/GH.

If the current price trend bitcoin persists, which should be expected as the difficulty skyrockets, by the time we get this deal, we are expecting an even better price @ 0.35-0.37btc/GH for 10TH available immediately.

PS: Any extra coins raised through IPO after purchasing will be given to the initial investor as dividend through first-week dividend payout or kept as growth fund, depending on the interest of the majority.

Cheers,
Hosted-Mining

Introduction

Thank you everyone for your support thus far! Wow! We are in negotiations with several of the current ASIC MINING vendors available in the market.

Tired of not knowing a DATE you are going to receive your ASIC mining hardware?
Have any of the companies you purchased from told you an EXACT DATE that you will receive your hardware?
Have you ordered ASIC Chips that are stuck in customs somewhere and no one can give you a straight up answer?

If these are questions that you do not have answers for, then, LOOK no further. HOSTED-MINING is here to help mitigate the international risk of not obtaining your share of the AMAZING BITCOIN market in time.
That is right. Time is ESPECIALLY crucial with Difficulty rising quickly.

WHAT HAPPENED when the HASH DIFFICULTY rose 35+%?
The PRICE of BTC rose.
What is going to happen with all the companies that supposedly will ship by Mid-September or October?
It will become more difficult to mine BITCOINS. If they miss their target dates, then what happens?

There are a lot of questions and uncertainty in this market and we want to make a statement, let's work together to raise funds and DEMAND dates from these mining companies or else give us more hash to compensate for time lost. SEEM unrealistic? It is not UNREALISTIC if we have the BTC to negotiate rates and TIMELINESS! Become part of our movement and let's work to specify hard DATES.

How many shares are outstanding for companies such as GOOGLE* (approximately 300M with an approximate value of {fill-in the blanks}? Net net, Billions. The BITCOIN network is a game changer.

HOSTED-MINING was created between a US and Canadian company to offer the very first GUARANTEE revenue-share HASHING date of no later than August 30th, 2013 for investors with an easily accessible investment vehicle without the large upfront cost of actually buying the hardware, monitoring and paying for electricity.

There are 3 Phases for roll out of a minimum 10 Terahash (referred to as "TH" forthwith) of mining capacity deployed no later than August 30th, 2013. With a GUARANTEE of additional TH in the contract to compensate for the difference in lost downtime if the launch date is not met.

1.) PHASE I - Initial Offering

Our motion is to increase the number of shares to 10,000,000 at .0028 each, with the release coming in 2 stages. Initially, we will release 5,000,000 shares of the first 10,000,000. They will be price at 0.0028 per share.

Starting from no later than Aug. 30, 2013 if we attain a minimum of 1,500,000 shares, we will start mining at 10 TH.  One hundred percent (100%) of the mining revenue will be divided equally with shares sold and delivered as dividends for each share once (1) per week.

END OF PHASE I - Hashrate: 10 TH minimum with the possibility of another 25TH+ by September 30th, 2013.

2.) PHASE II - Expansion

After the 10 TH is online, we will enter the second phase. During this phase, we release the rest of the available 5,000,000 shares to acquire guaranteed delivery dates.
We are already in contact with BTCGarden and other companies to negotiate for their TH which will be available in mid or end of September. DATES will be advertised soon.
We will disclose the necessary details in an announcement and release the shares needed to do the purchase. These will be priced 0.0056 or higher per share to allow a significant return on investment for our initial investors.

Our potential suppliers can be any current/future mining hardware manufacturers that will offer competitive pricing.

Once we are established and running, we will not stop seeking to acquire the best priced mining hardware until we have obtained 49% of network strength. This can only be accomplished with your dedication and support.

END OF PHASE II - HASH RATE: Exact hash rate will be available once we have negotiated the price with potential suppliers, but should be well over 100 TH.

3.) PHASE III - Reinvestment Phase

This phase starts when we have achieved the hash rate specified in the end of phase II.

After this threshold, 50% percent of the mining revenue will be retained as a future growth fund.

The details for this will also become available once we have entered phase III.

END OF PHASE IV

Please note that this contract can be changed at anytime if needed for shareholder advantage.

These figures are estimates only. Once we achieve the 10 TH minimum the specific amounts needed for operational goals will be released.

HOSTED-MINING will begin mining no later than August 30th, 2013 with a minimum of 10 TH if enough shares are sold to purchase the minimum 10 TH.

We are currently in negotiations with Alydian, BTCGarden and other manufactures to acquire as much TH as possible.

For every 9 (nine) shares of HOSTED-MINING sold, 1 (one) share will be paid to both Hostedmining, LLC and appA2z.com management as a founder's stake. Please note this is the only compensation we will receive and all operating expenses will be deducted from the dividends paid on these shares.

Please review the following estimation calculator at http://www.coinish.com/calc/ for investment due diligence.

We undertake no obligation to publicly revise any forward-looking statement to reflect circumstances or events after the date of this press release or to reflect the occurrence of unanticipated events.

Although the Company believes that the forward-looking statements are accurate, there can be no assurance that any forward-looking statement will prove to be accurate.

If the regulators in your region require AML/KYC procedures for certain transactions, you will be asked to provide them at anytime per our request. Any US customers will be required to sign a due diligence statement.

6  Other / Off-topic / 512 qubit D-WAVE 2 on: May 17, 2013, 04:31:28 PM
Nasa purchased a 512 qubit D-Wave 2 quantum computer for $15 million.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-22554494

"D-Wave Systems has been focused on building machines that exploit a technique called quantum annealing - a way of distilling the optimal mathematical solutions from all the possibilities."

Apparently they work and are here to stay. I think inside 15 years this could be a real issue to sha-256 encryption. I have done some research into this and while at this time I dont feel this poises a threat, in the near future with optimizations and advances I think it very well could. I am pretty confident that Moore's Law will hold true with these quantum machines as it has with x86.

Anyone care to enlighten me further?

10  Economy / Speculation / Whats a satoshi worth? on: April 05, 2013, 11:07:43 PM
Ok..everyone has predictions of what the value of what bitcoin will be worth today, tomorrow and a year from now. I am not about to try and say where I think we all know we are going, but it really struck home when I noticed that $1 = 730,000 satoshi's today.

Think about that for a moment...

It just strikes me that there indeed might be a day when $1 = 10,000 satoshi's...or less. Its not that far of a leap from here.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Establishing bitcoin in the USA on: April 01, 2013, 06:35:19 PM
So...I have been trying to look at bitcoin from all angles to see how market share could be increased. This is one idea I came up with.

One of the biggest gateways into bitcoin is gambling IMO. There is a huge untapped market of people who would love to gamble online. With new casinos and gambling sites popping up it seems this niche is getting filled.
If we take this one step further though...what if we could get a brick and mortar casino to take bitcoin?

So this is where the seed of my idea starts. Well over half the casinos are on Native American Reservations. If you could get a Tribe to accept bitcoin at a physical casino it would be huge I think. Just the novelty and new coverage would bring increased revenue.

If you could convince a tribal member somewhere that bitcoin is a solid investment I think it could open many doors. I am from Washington State..there are quite a few casino's around that I would love to pitch this idea to.

The fact that each Reservation is a sovereign state is a key factor. The way I understand it tribal laws take precedence.

So..help me take this half-baked idea and make it into something workable.  Thoughts?
13  Bitcoin / Meetups / Seattle, WA on: March 27, 2013, 08:13:00 PM
Hello all,

I am newer to bitcoin but would like to start networking with others of like interest in the Seattle area. I just started mining recently and I love it. The whole concept behind bitcoin is very appealing to me. I plan on investing heavily(for my income :p) into hardware over the next 6 months to a year as ASIC's become available. I would like to explore business ideas that could be brought to the Seattle area. Anyways...open to pretty much anything.

Hello all.

I have a HUGE collection of books and a smaller collection of comics that I would like to sell/trade for btc. I am in the process of cataloging it all. Anyone interested?

The books are mostly scifi and fantasy from the 80's till now. Lots of hardbacks....nothing really rare but all good readers. The comics are pretty much the same..nothing extremely valuable. mostly 80's and 90's stuff. I do have some older stuff too but they are not in great shape.

Will send photo's to anyone interested.

Thanks

p.s. BTCJam needs a "withdraw all" button for the mathematically challanged....
17  Economy / Lending / Startup Funds on: March 18, 2013, 04:48:07 AM
Hello, I am looking for a loan. However I have a problem...I am new. So from what I have read over the past week or so with my dive into bitcoins is that I need to "establish" my reputation. Ok, so started that..applied at BTCJam for a 1btc loan. I hope I filled out the application right.

Anyway I digress. I have roughly $300 a month of "free" spending money. This is what I am left with after paying all bills, not a huge investment portfolio I know. But its what I can afford to "lose", "throw away" or otherwise do what I wish with. So last month was a new video card...7950(great card for the money btw, $279 +2 free games from the egg)...well..bam...discovered bitcoin and now it's chugging away at 620+ mh\s and my little pile of dust is growing towards a full satoshi pretty darn quick. So come the 1st what do I do?  Order another GPU miner? No..the game is changing right when I get into it. ASIC's have come and I want to get on board asap.

What I want now is an Avalon. Im not sure when they will be accepting pre-orders for batch#3 again but when they do I want one. So that means at todays prices I need roughly 32.89btc + whatever fee's are involved.

Can I save up that $300 a month and in 5 months just buy one..yes. In 5 months the profits will have declined and the difficulty will have gone up. I know this..but I am in it for the long haul. I am excited about the future of digital currency. I think that in the next 3 years before the next halving there is going to be a good roi for a 66 gh\s miner.

So my options are this.

1. Save the extra income and just buy the necessary btc when I have enough and orders for asics are available.
2. buy another 7950 and be happy with 1200+ mh\s for now.
or
3. Ask for a loan for around 33-35 btc..and wait for orders for asics to be available so I can enter the market asap.

The 3rd option is very appealing to me. This is a considerable amount of money though so to get a loan might prove difficult. I dont have the greatest "normal" credit rating so getting a bank loan or using a credit card is not an option. I have a stable fixed income..I am disabled. I can provide all the documentation from bank statements to bills, gov"t issued ID..all that crap. I just have to find someone to make this happen.

So I am throwing this out here. This is a completely legit request..if you are in a position to loan me enough btc to buy an Avalon batch #3 when they become available please PM and I will provide you with what ever info you need to assure yourself that I am for real and will pay back the loan in a timely manner.

What I am looking for is a loan of say 33-35btc for 12 months at 10%? 12 payments of whatever the terms are payed on the 1st of the month. I ask for a 12 month loan so the payments are comfortable. A 6 month term is possible to and likely once mining begins with the asic. But thats on the if come. I would prefer to deal with what I know i can repay with existing income. The terms of what ever the loan are would be negotiable to make the lender happy.  This loan would only need to go into effect when Avalon opens orders for the next units.

Please..before the flames...understand that I am new and am not sure about the protocol for doing this sort of thing. If nothing else maybe I can be pointed in the right direction to make this dream a reality sooner rather than later.

Thanks
zif

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Namecoin wallet help on: March 08, 2013, 04:54:22 PM
Hello...I have just started to mine and seem to be well on my way. I have set up my bitcoin wallet and have guiminer running at 540 Mhash\s. Smiley  I joined Slush's pool and you can add a namecoin wallet...this is where my problem starts. I downloaded and installed namecoind to set up my wallet..windows 8(ya..im a newb) does not seem to like it..but running it in compatibility mode for win 7 seems to work. anyway...after extracting..setting up the config file and root folder I ran it and then opened cmd prompt, went to the directory and did getinfo.

Quote
C:\Namecoin>namecoind getinfo
error: You must set rpcpassword=<password> in the configuration file:
C:/Users/***edit***/AppData/Roaming/Namecoin/bitcoin.conf
If the file does not exist, create it with owner-readable-only file permissions.

I have tried every password I can think of in the config file...where am I going wrong?

what should these value's be?   rpcuser=?   rpcpassword=?    my login and pw for my worker?  just a random name and pw?

Any value's I have tried dont seem to work and generate that error above.

any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
