1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / ALTCOINS going green! on: April 19, 2018, 12:11:22 PM
As for the present market status, most of the Altcoins, especially those who were in the ranking (Top Tier), are all green while BTC is chopping in a range. I have found a new setup for my trading plan but I'm still cutting down trades until bitcoin gives a clear direction for the market. Even this is good news for traders like me, don't let the greediness get over your heads. Don't make indecisive decisions during this green flag days, consider a bigger time frame if planning to sell immediately. I know trades were bound to happen for us to gain profits, but you still have to go with a higher probability to maximize it.
2  Other / Serious discussion / Cryptocurrency Billionaire Dies on: April 19, 2018, 01:24:12 AM
Matthew Mellon, the billionaire banking heir, died suddenly while taking a rehab at a facility in Mexico at just the age of 53. He is a businessman, billionaire banking heir, who was a chairman of New York's Republican State's committee. The reason why people acknowledged his fortunes through cryptocurrency is that last February of this year, he invested $2 million dollars in a cryptocurrency XRP, which is widely known (by crypto fanatics) as XRP and managed to turn that investment into a $1 billion fortune.

Now, why there are still a lot of Cryptocurrency people believing that financial institutions such as banks and governments were against of Bitcoin and Altcoins? This guy is a banking heir of Mellon Bank which is now called Bank of New York Mellon Corporation and became interested to invest his millions with a less popular coin compare to Bitcoin.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / PORN site now accept an Altcoin as payment method! on: April 17, 2018, 02:27:48 PM
I've just received this news lately from a friend and I think its worth to share with you guys. Porn site Pornhub agrees to accept an altcoin as another payment method, which is VERGE (VXG) to be specific. Honestly, I still doubt this kind of announcement, might be fake or another strategy in selling of. Also why they pick an Altcoin which is no where near Bitcoin or any within the Top 5 of cryptocurrency ranking.

PS: I saw another thread created regarding this but he didn't put a source for reference or to support what does the poster stated.

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading for Dummies --- My "NEW" Altcoin Trading Strategy on: April 17, 2018, 06:56:15 AM
Hello guys! I just want to share my NEW altcoin trading strategy. I have just started this year and wanted to post this before, but due to some reason, I don't have enough time to do it. So, here we go:

TRADING PLATFORM:

Poloniex (poloniex.com) --- First site that I have used when I am just a noob
Yobit (yobit.net) --- Alternative to Poloniex but I still prefer the latter
Cryptopia (cryptopia.co.nz) --- Currently using when I am on my working computer (laptop or desktop)
Binance (binance.com) --- Currently using when I am on the go (mobile)

REFERENCES:

Wallet Investor (walletinvestor.com) --- This is the site that I am using to know if a coin will be profitable or not.
Is This Coin A Scam (isthiscoinascam.com) --- Here, you can check if a coin is legit or fake (scam).
Coin Market Cap (coinmarketcap.com) --- You can see on this site the current status of the coin within each parameter (i.e. circulating, total and max supply, market cap and price and trading charts)

STRATEGY:

My strategy is very simple and kindly take note of this one. You have to master this in order to avoid risk or your investment (money) will be all gone. All trading sites that I have mentioned has ORDER BOOK which you can see and later on know if the coin will be going to PUMP or DUMP.

For further explanation on how to use an ORDER BOOK, kindly watch the link given below:

NOTES: I will update this thread with images from my actual experience. I need to figure out first on how to do it, so please forgive me.  Grin
5  Other / Serious discussion / Couple arrested --- amassed $17M worth of BTC on: April 12, 2018, 01:36:10 AM
This just in today and I wanted to share it with you guys. I know that this pyramiding scheme is OLD news, but the amount of what they have gathered is unbelievable. These couples were arrested in the Philippines and was the owner of a company called "NewG". Hell, by the sound of its name along, obviously it is not legit. So, how did they manage to get that huge amount of money invested in their scheme? Despite the fact that this bogus scheme has been used by fraudsters long time ago before Bitcoin ever existed. Well, I do think that those people who have invested didn't learn any lessons in the past.

What really made me worried is that even the arrest has been done, there's a chance they might prove themselves not guilty once it got into court proceedings. All those investments were made through Coins.ph (Philippine's top financial services platform for Bitcoin) and upon checking by the company representatives in hopes to return all those money invested, it has been checked and emptied. The transactions that were been made was all untraceable, so its impossible to retrieve all those BTCs, thanks for its anonymity feature  Grin

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / OAX [openANX] --- Good profit or another epic fail? on: April 10, 2018, 02:05:28 PM
I've recently come back into trading through Binance. After a week of research and thinking the right coins that will build-up my portfolio and hoping that it will reap huge rewards, I first choose OAX which currently sits at #361 in Coinmarketcap. This is the first time that I have decided to go with a coin that is outside of the Top 100. I know that its risky to invest in a less popular coin with a low volume of transaction. However, as per my observation, these type of coins usually surge up faster which fits my requirement in day trading.

My entry point is @ 0.00007276, my exit target is between 0.00007720 to 0.00008900.

What do you guys think regarding this? Am I doing the right thing? Let me know your thoughts.
7  Other / Serious discussion / Google will ban ads involving cryptocurrencies on: March 15, 2018, 12:52:17 PM
After a long day at work, it became a habit for me to read news just to be informative on what's happening around. Then I bumped into this interested topic which came from our local news website.

Being a crypto enthusiast, I was baffled upon reading the entire body of the subject. Why such a tech giant such as Google doesn't want cryptocurrencies be advertised? We are already in the golden age of digital economy and more people became interested as time goes by.

"As per Alphabet Inc's Google, they will shutdown ads that contains cryptocurrencies this coming June.

The new policy implemented will ban advertisement that are unregulated or speculative financial products.

They (Google) want to improve the ads experience across the web, and crypto related ads has become more harmful and intrusive to the market.

Even Facebook already announced to ban ICO's, it will be implemented across all platforms including Instagram"

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How mighty NaNo (XRB) has fallen? on: March 13, 2018, 01:09:21 AM
Up until now, I still can't forget the feeling of regret when I did not invest all my money in RaiBlocks (XRB). I haven't forgotten my reaction when its market price rose over $30++

This is one of my worst trading decision ever. My mistake leads me to search for another coin that has the same capability of growth like the latter. Unfortunately, as of this writing, I still haven't see one, even those belongs to the Top 100 list at coinmarketcap.

I gave up after a few weeks and decided to hold all investment since I am busy with my work. Also, to forget the pain of my mistake.

Few weeks past, I roamed around crypto sites and was wondering how RaiBlocks is doing. To my shock, its market price dipped down at $10++ and continued my internet research as to what possibilities it causes to happen.

As per TNW (thenextweb):

"RaiBlocks has lost 20 percent in value after exchange desk BitGrail suddenly announced that its platform will soon suspend support for non-European users.

An announcement from BitGrail claiming that, due to KYC-related legal complications, the company will force non-EU users to shut down their accounts"

Rumors is that, one of the major reason why it suddenly went up was that the creators of NaNo (RaiBlocks) might add it to one of the considered popular exchange desk Coinbase, as lot of seed investors work on the same mentioned site.

If this rumor turned out to be true and the reason why it was halted was due to shift of plans by the dev team and continuous improvement of NaNo, do you still expect that it will regain its form and surpass market performance in the past?

Will you still wait for another dip or invest now?

Let me know your thoughts.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sharing My Investment Strategy Plan (Date Start: Next Month) on: October 26, 2017, 01:22:43 AM
Hello guys! Good day! I just want to share my investment plan which I already share in our local section (Philippines). I am seeking for personal opinion or advice regarding my plan as I just recently decided to invest in crypto which suits my time as I have a day job. I'm not a newbie anymore, Its just that I did not take crpytocurrencies seriously before.

Investment #1: $250 (Allocation from salary)

* 50% ($125) --- store in a BTC wallet, planning to hodl it until the price is right to sell them.

*50% ($125) --- deposit onto my bank account to add in my current savings, which will gain interest but not that much (as saving bank accounts in the Philippines has only low interest rates but I'm planning  to transfer all of my funds thru time deposit --- much better interest rate).

Question: I'm using coins.ph as my BTC wallet since I've started into crypto 3 years ago, its convenient for us Filipinos to use it as we can immediately cash-out the BTC stored in it.

1. Will the BTC stored in my wallet will increase its value thru the mentioned wallet?
2. Is there an alternative wallet suitable to my plan?

Investment #2: Earnings from signature campaign

* 50% will go to trading. I did day-trading before (last year) but I don't have enough time to manual monitor the market as I was really busy with work during those times.

Question:

1. Does weekly or monthly trading is advisable to do rather than day-trading?
2. I'm still sticking to my plan on trading known coins or coins that are active in famous trading sites such as poloniex, do known coins is much better to trade or will I go into new ones?

* Remaining 50% will be used in buying ICO's (I'm not just relying on Airdrops or Bounty).

Question:

1. Aside on researching thru project roadmap, whitepapers, dev team, etc. Are there any key points to consider before joining an ICO?

So, what do you guys think? Any opinions or advice will be truly much appreciated! Thank you very much and have a good day guys!
10  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Bitcoin Investment Strategy --- Advice needed from Old / Pro members on: October 25, 2017, 04:37:53 PM
Hi guys! I'm seeking for an advice if what I'm planning to do before the year ends will be good or not.

Investment #1:

* I have a day job (work) as an acctg. supervisor which I will allocate P5k to P10k per month to savings.

* 50% of my savings will be allocated to my bank acct. (save) and the other 50% which I'm planning to store thru a bitcoin wallet --- yes, I will HODL (hold) those coins until the price surge up or meet my target increase. The reason behind this plan is that, I became aware and notice (I did not take BTC seriously back then) the sudden increase of its value. As far I can remember, I earned my first BTC which is 0.2 = P2.5k last Sept. 2016, if I hold it then I already have P60k within 1 year only (I need to cash it out due to an emergency) Imagine if I put it in a bank account (P2.5k) it might earn only cents or worst, none.

Will this plan work out if I store it thru coins.ph? (I will buy BTC right away and wont store in a peso wallet). Will the BTC value increase when the time comes? Is there a good or alternative  wallet for us pinoys aside from coins.ph?

Investment #2:

* Even though I'm working, I keep myself active joining a signature campaign.

* 50% of my earnings thru sig campaign will be allocated on trading, I'm planning to do day-trading again. But, I'm on a 50/50 decision right now due to my past experience. Also, add to the fact that I have a work, I could not monitor it from time to time. Does weekly or monthly trading is advisable to do so as an alternative?

* 30% will be used in joining ICO's. Aside from joining airdrops and bounty, I also plan to buy them. Given that the project roadmap, whitepaper sounds good and the devs are already an accomplished team that have succesful projects in the past.

* Remaining 20% personal use.

Note: I'm also planning to invest on mining and currently seeking for cheap GPU's that is best to mine cryptonight (XMR) or ETH (Aside from Gilmore, kindly advise where can I buy those, please). I will also consider new coins with low diff. as long they are profitable. But, this is a different story. I will going to find a way to make room for it.

So, what do you guys think? Your advice will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
11  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / XMR Mining Rig --- Where to buy the cheapest? on: October 02, 2017, 08:33:09 AM
Good day guys! I'm planning to build a XMR mining rig before year 2017 ends, parang investment na din. I'm searching for a cheap store where I can buy new GPU's or much better used ones but not totally wasted naman, yung tipong ginamit lang sa gaming tapos nagsawa na, I prefer mostly yung mga updated na GPU's which is better for mining XMR.

Thanks and have a nice day!
