Miners are fickle and alt-coin makers mostly just want to make a quick buck.
Alt coins were made as platforms to explore aspects of crypto currencies that could not be applied to bitcoin or were considered experimental. Later after the release of Asics it became a haven for people with small rigs to mine profitably. Of late though the new crop of forum members have begun abusing and devaluing the idea of altcoins by cloning and not thinking things through.
Innovation may not be everyone's strength but a well thought through coin possesses more potential in the long run to become a dominant coin if you support it. A clone that addresses the issues of the parent coin is a valuable thing, it may be adopted slowly (no quick buck) but over time as people realise the merits of what you did, they begin to join you.
Alt-coin making is not a compettion to see who can create the fastest coins or reduce transaction times by reducing confirms. Improvements on previous ideas is a better idea, by watching coins that already exist and addressing their issues you stand a better chance of making the right impact. Don't mind the FUD and flash miner looking to make a quick buck. The heavy weights of most coins that have been around over a year spent a lot of time mining coins that were considered worthless, but the merits of those coins shone through the crap.
1) microsecond blocks would be a novel idea, but it is not feasible due to network latency. A block has to travel the network, it cant be done with today's tech. 2) Large rewards per block draw small minded crowds that love to see many zeros, but if you know your economics, you'll understand that scarcity makes value. 3) A clear Launch is good, premines are frowned on because of the sketchy nature in which preminers behave. 4) Try to learn from previous launches, there is always pointers on what people want to see implemented.
Some coins have future, if your idea is good enough, your coin will survive almost anything.

All bounties are community managed and backed.
I'd like a pool so i'll put 200 Noir to that. If anyone else wants a pool they are free to add to that until we have enough to interest a pool runner.

I wish people were like the alt-coin section. If i don't like you i can make another one (clone). If i feel sick or have problems, i could git push and pull, make clean and be good as new.

Without being an *** i'd like to ask the requirement to get on this exchange. Coz if Amc can make it to the exchange, but Uscoin was refused. And EZcoin didnt but Luckycoin made it, i honestly would like to know. This does'nt seem like it is based on miner base at all.

Community managed and developed. Centralized management has caused the downfall of too many coins. Official Site www.noirbits.com
- 2 minute block time
- 30 to block confirm
- 20 coins per block
- 50 million total coins
- expected run time ~ 9 years
- 6 confirms tx
- Hourly retarget
The 2 minute block time aims to improve on LTC's time but not so drastic as to cause a permanent orphan problem. Expected run time is dependent on adoption. The cap is based of the idea that all coins are still development ideas, in ten years hopefully dev on this coin would have reached it's peak. The 30 confirms are a response to the 4~10 confirmation coins released of late which encourage orphans and reduce security of the currency. There will be no premine. All bounties will be from the community. In the works - First solid attempt at Merged Mining Scrypt ( This will only work with coins developed by the devs using current code and POW scheme) - Noirbank, an experiment to see if cryptos can truly be applied in real world use. Since i'm designing a new coin, i looked at some social aspects. People like giveaway, but thay are hard to maintain and sometimes run dry. Is it possible to make it so every wallet starts with a set balance of maybe 5 coins. that would cut out the give away aspect.

I know CNC has been around longer, but it still baffles me that it is worth more than Phenix coin.
