I'm not sure if the Bitmain Antminer S3+ is that different than the S3.  Does one have to buy the power supplies, which seem to be about twice as much as the going rate for the actual machine, or can one find a similar type used for other devices?  

I am looking for some good current pools for sha256 mining.   I'm looking for the best coins, but don't mind new underdog ones that are built on sound ideas and have a good dev. team.

I have a Gridseed Orb which does Scrypt and SHA256 mining.  So far I've only got it to go Scrypt and trying to get it to do Sha256. 

I know that scrypt batch files have the --scrypt switch but should a SHA256 have its own switch, or is that just default? 

Is this the usual syntax for the URL section?  stratum+tcp://domain:3333 or are there other variations?

Is there a type of memory in the device that needs to be reset by turning it off and on if you are going from one mode to the other, or even running a bat file?  Or, does it reset itself each time you call the executable of the miner you're using?

How often is a block of litecoin found today?  Or, how many blocks per day are found?

I know everyone says to keep the CPU processing long term at 100% does damage, but what about 50%?
Anyone have an explanation based on facts about electronics?

We need a new marketplace to buy things with these mid-level coins.  Obviously there are a lot of coins that have died, but there are still many in the range of 15th to 30th place that have some value, even though one coin might be worth .0001 cents.  I think people that are holding on to these should use them to purchase things now.   I would be willing to sell digital product (software, pdfs) that I've been making money on for many years for coins that people are only really using now to do trading with.   How else are these things going to be established, since in a lot of ways they do seem on the way out, unless they have some niche marketplace?  Having them circulated puts more of a real world value on them, because people have a vested interest in keeping them going.

Will mining continue to stay good for the next five years?  How can we insure that it will?  I didn't want to ask this in the Mining section because it seems all the talk there is about particulars of the technology. 

I have two Gridseed Orbs and I hoping to get one to mine a different coin.  I'm having a virtual com port problem using this otherwise fine old laptop that's running windows vista.  I've reinstalled the same driver several times and tried another one from a different company.  I have been starting and so on and I still get "No Device Detected."  Is there any reason why Vista won't be able to run cgminer or something similar? 

I've been a used and rare bookdealer since 1998 in addition to my tech career.  Does anyone know a place that I could sell books?

Get serious.  The other faucets are spammy filled with ponzi HYIP's.   Seems like there is some organized crime in
this game and it shouldn't affect the generosity of the highly intelligent other people who are involved.

It's known in business that "free" is one of the best marketing ploys out there and the middle range coins that are trying to
gain traction shouldn't aim at creating some new billionaires or millionaires, hopefully just people living in a good middle class.

Anyone have any thoughts on this pool?  The main front end is not completely kept up.  The email form doesn't send and at least one software link to a major download for the site is dead.  Been trying to log on there with my miner and getting errors and can't email tech support.

What are some good pools if you want to try out a bunch of different coins and the obvious isn't work right away?  Might be cool to have a pool poll for this question.

I would like to diversify and buy a bunch of coins that are presently worth around .9 of one cent to however low some of the other ones are.
What would be a good site to do it on with the lowest brokerage fees?   What kind of fees are we talking about and how low can my investment

When I did a search for listing my businesses that accept bitcoin, I got a spammy place that didn't even work, and many big corporate places.  Is there a better way to list your business?  What are some good sites that can list businesses that accept bitcoin relatively quickly and without having to pay them?

Does anyone know where to find info to mine other coins with an orb?  I am new to mining and have one but I want to be more adventurous than mining Litecoin.
