381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / SegWit2x seriously losing support? on: October 12, 2017, 06:59:57 PM
Something strange is happening right now.
I do not fully understand what yet but it seems some members of Pro-segwit2x group are publicly withdrawing their support for SegWit2x

Could this mean the hard fork won't be going on again? Seems they aren't too happy the way Bitcoin price is shooting up or it is just normal and expected withdraws?

382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A New Country on Cryptocurrency! on: October 09, 2017, 01:41:52 PM
Am obsessed with the idea of having a new Physical or Virtual Country with Bitcoin as national currency somewhere on International Water or the Internet. Stuff like  biometric registration, voting, and other types of data collection  will be on open Blockchain. The new country would by far be the most transparent and sustainable country on the planet. Software that runs it will be open source.
The new Country would be programned to run automatically, with little human intervention. for instance:  if you want some homes, just register online, pay and the home will be yours. If you want to be a leader, just apply, computer algorithm will prune down the list of applicants on merit. The final list will go for National elections which will be decided by citizens. Leadership in the country will be somewhat ceremonial since there would be little need for human leadership as most things are automated.

Wonder if this is legal(building on International Water by anyone) and whether other countries would be allowed to trade with the new country.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Should there be a Review team for ICOs? on: October 06, 2017, 10:22:16 PM
Guys what do you think?

Some forum moderators should be selected & paid mandatory fees by ICO owners to thoroughly review ICOs before fully letting them run advertisements and campaigns on the forum.
Reviews can run concurrently with their campaigns and advertisments and could take between 3 days to 2week to be completed depending on size of  projects.
Once a project is found fraudulent its ad and campaign would be suspended or terminated with absolutely no refunds. Also, funds collected by the project managers (which I assume will be escrowed) would be returned to owners if projects get terminated.

Preventing abuse

Problem now is how to make sure this isn't abused by either the reviewers or the Project owners.
The Review Process should be transparent and open to all forum users see but non reviewers won't be allowed to post.   A Review Section could be added to the forum for the selected moderators to create threads and make Reviews.

Things to Review

* Verify if ALL their claims are true. Verification of things like pictures of contributors, claims about not Pre-mining, project originality etc. No need to punish project owners if they prefer to be anonymous or for not including contributors...all that is needed are projects that are good and unique .

384  Other / Politics & Society / So Jesus instructed his disciples to bear Arms. Interesting.. on: October 05, 2017, 01:12:04 PM
He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. ◄ Luke 22:36

I don't really know much about the gun right controversies in America but I noticed some are calling for ban on Military grade weapons only
Note that Sword was a "Military grade" weapon back in those days.

America seems to be the one of the few countries standing in their way.
Almost all the happenings in the country look  similar to mine which almost makes it very easy to predict .

Let me try make some Predictions and see:

Security situation may worsen (God forbid). Many of the President's allies and party members may defect to another party in protest. More fake and outrageous allegations against the President.

Unnecessary Racism (instigated to divide & conquer):  . Increased racial tensions caused by their agents.
Call for impeachment.
Government officials would be forced to go against their boss, (the President).
Many of the government officials will be visited or invited by very important figures and asked to work for anti-President forces to help bring peace & unity back to the country with the promise of future appointments or financial rewards. Those who reject the offer will be accused falsely, forced to resign, arrested, charged to court and have their bank accounts frozen. While this is going on they will be offered a second chance,  asked to accept the offer to have their bank account back and all charges dropped.
Religious Leaders will be used against the President.

385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Kickstarter "Startups" vs Bitcointalk ICOs on: October 01, 2017, 04:50:30 PM
Does anyone know the success rate of Start-ups raising funds on websites like Kickstarter, GoFundMe & Indiegogo?

There are tons of new projects popping up on such large Crowdfunding without commensurate companies developing from them.
Bitcointalk has produce Unique Altcoin like Ethereum, Monereo, Zcash, DECENT, Steemit and tons of other successful projects, what has Kickstarter produce that is widely used today?

Seems statistically likely that out of 100 projects a company (Google for example) is working on, only 1 or 0 could succeed in the long run...which is just 1% or less ... So dont you think it's just normal that out of the thousands of experimental projects only few end up successful . If the success rate were higher (let say 10%—50‰), many more companies would be existing.
Governments even waste lots of tax payers money on projects that may never be successful, so why the hypocrisy.

Could the hate on more effective crowdfunding site like Bitcointalk a calculated attempt by some governments to stifle innovations of Cryotocurrencies? If the owner is motivated by money I bet he could make himself as wealthy as very greedy owners  of Social Media & traditionally Crowdfunding sites but he spread the wealth among users which is part of what Blockchain/Cryptocurrency is about.  Don't get me wrong, i 100% believe that some kind of checks have to be put in place to prevent people from abusing GoFundMe, Kickstarter & Bitcointalk but calling  for an outright ban of ICO is like calling for ban on traditional start-ups.. . too insensitive.

I even suspect that "they" are frustrated that the "elites (aka government) owned" Fintech aren't as successful?
386  Other / Politics & Society / Could Baphomet, (the goat god) be the Image of a Ram. on: September 28, 2017, 08:59:55 AM
Baphomet is a human-like goat sculpture/image allegedly worship by some powerful underground elites in the society. The image is said to be similar to a Goat but a closer look shows it resembling Sheep/Ram instead.

Reading through Daniel chapter 8 down https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel+8,  you'll noticed that what Daniel saw in his endtime anti-christ Vision was "Ram with two large horns."  The Ram was however defeated and replaced by a more ruthless "Earth roaming" Goat.
Revelation also mentioned something similar :  (Rev 13 v 11 Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon.)

Most People often refer to Baphomet as Goat-like.. knowing exactly what it is may help in some ways..
387  Other / Politics & Society / We survived Fiat anonymity, Why not anonymous Cryptocurrencies? on: September 27, 2017, 08:28:25 PM
Anonymised money isn't a new thing in our society. Physical cash has always been kind of anonymous. No one could even stop you from spending your cash when he/she wants unless they are saved in centralized banks.

I find it quite surprising that people don't care that "governments" are doing everything possible to monitor what they do with their digital money (in this case cryptocurrency) thesedays. Just imagine it were in the real World of Fiat usage, the secret service follows you everywhere you go just to see what you do with your own money...wouldn't that creep you out especially these days government are being hijacked by few & highly secretive individuals?

We really should be worried that We are slowly handing over our future to few dangerous people, not really government.

They are in total control of centralized digital currency. If they succeed in hijacking Cryptocurrency they could easily
monitor and ban whoever they want after eliminating cash . Then we will be in total policed World .
388  Other / Politics & Society / They're planning a Universal Basic Income. on: September 23, 2017, 12:20:24 PM
They may be planning some sort of Universal Basic Income for Global Citizens. I tend to wonder why people are paid this income whereas they can easily be encouraged to establish useful businesses and earn similar amounts..
I usually understand what they're up to if they keep mentioning something over and over again in the media.. It's been on their lips for awhile. I always thought it was a joke or mere suggestion until the meanest of them discussed it.
They would probably use this to attract billions of dependants and loyalists around the world?

This is Important: Welfare schemes you do not work for (like Contributory Pension Scheme & similar schemes) must never be accepted. It is unsustainable and tantamount to stealing. [Stealing is taking what you do not deserve or  doesn't belong to you]

Another thing constantly on their lips is the INTERNET. They seem to be planning how to totatly reorganize the Internet infrastructure to make it easy to stop terrorism and uprising.

"He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power." - Daniel 8:25

Could this be why they constantly demonize hardworking people who do not depend on anyone and threatening them with extermination(keeps happening where I live)?
389  Other / Politics & Society / The concept of Spirit/Soul, God and Devil do not violate the law of physics on: September 20, 2017, 10:35:49 AM
Don't you think it would be somewhat anti-science and close minded to reject the existence of the spirit World?  The fact they haven't been proven don't mean they do not exist.  We marveled at what is possible with pretty new Quantum Physics... imagine that what we are yet to discovered could infinite and far superior to Quantum physics.

The desperate push to obliterate religion could  make people more suspicious of atheists intentions.  A conspiracy theorist thinks some evil elites may be behind this push....in other to weaken a particular religion or religions that are real threats to their fascist agenda,  create deeply immoral, hopeless, fearful and vulnerable societies and the most important of all, hide our spiritual abilities to resist them "when the time comes".

It would be for our interest to accept these possibilities than outright rejection.

390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Less Innovation = Fewer Adoption? on: September 15, 2017, 07:23:11 PM
Been observing things for a while as regards to the progress of Cryptocurrencies, only one seems to be progressing rapidly. Other one is hugh, good and well built but been the earliest crypto is understandably lacking in features that would've enable it progress quickly .

More innovation is seriously needed. Innovation should be constant. Some features need to be implemented on the good Cryptocurrencies which would automatically encourage other developers build cool stuff them.
391  Other / Politics & Society / Still on Religion.. What is your thoughts on this? on: September 13, 2017, 05:27:12 PM
Pls permission to deviate a little with this bible quotation below.

Job 26:7 - “He stretches out the north over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing."

These writers knew clearly  the Earth floats in space thousands of years ago?? How? Wow!

I used to be a Bible skeptic back then as a  young man ( 19—29yrs) . Infact I was a very hard-to-convinced atheist . My love for Astronomy & being disgusted by the Hypocrisy of religious people opened me up to the World of Atheism . Religion eventually found me — never thought I would one day be interested in religious stuff. A mind blowing evil deeds by people I looked up to coupled with some proof of the supernatural forced me out completely.  I really would have loved to consider my self as an agnostic but for those unbelievable proof, i hope to find scientific answers to.

Here is sth about Louis Pasture
Back then in Europe, atheist believed in a funny kind of evolution They thought that Maggots growing out of decayed matters are proofs that life appeared spontaneously. A scientist named Luis Pasture countered this with his sealed jar experiment(Google for more info if you can) . Luis Pasture was a very religious man. He was said to pray before starting work in his lab. Some atheists erroneously believe that Religion is for caveman. I don't believe this at all because even Steve Jobs, BillGate, Albert Einstein etc are religious men.

Finally, a Quote by Luis Pasture:
Little science takes you away from God but more of it takes you to Him. Louis Pasteur.

392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BREAKING: South Korean Court Declares Bitcoin Confiscation Illegal on: September 11, 2017, 02:23:21 PM

South Korean Court Declares Bitcoin Confiscation Illegal

After Police seized 216 Bitcoins from an individual that was suspected to be involved in illegal activities with the digital currency, it was ruled by a South Korean court that the seizure was illegitimate.

The Suwon district court set a groundbreaking precedent in legitimizing the seizer, by ruling that Bitcoin and associated digital currencies are not subject to confiscation.

Sending a message to regulators

While South Korea is one of the more progressive nations towards Bitcoin and its legalization, as well as its regulation, this move by the courts could send shockwaves through regulatory bodies in the country as well as across the globe.

There are contrasting attitudes towards the digital currency, as China’s recent foray into its regulation has seen the socialist country take a hardline stance towards this innovative technology.

‘Cannot assume an objective standard value’

According to local reports from Kyunghyang Shinmun, it seems as if Bitcoin's volatility may well be its saving grace in this matter, as the confiscation was deemed illegitimate because:

[it is]“not appropriate to confiscate Bitcoins as they cannot assume an objective standard value.”

Furthermore, the indication is that Bitcoin, as a digital currency, has no physical representation, and thus there is essentially nothing to be confiscated, according to the courts.

This also seems to suggest that the courts see Bitcoin as having a value, but it is an ever changing one, which could well mean they would be looking to instate certain rules surrounding digital currencies on their own.

Pornography Bitcoins

The case in which those judgement arose from involved an individual who was charged with running an illegal pornography website. The site had many members, but the operator never reported the membership fees which, may or may not, have been directly collected as Bitcoin - or perhaps transferred into digital currency at a later date.

A civilized country showing the World how things should be done. People in less developed countries won't be this lucky unfortunately
393  Other / Politics & Society / Let's take a look at biblical age Limit on: September 09, 2017, 12:33:35 PM
The biblical age limit placed on human by God is 120yr (Genesis 6:3, ), no one has surpassed this limit except an American woman who lived to 122yrs. Am already assuming there may be an error somewhere with her record as the different of 2 is too little to consider this as unlikely.

How an ancient book could be this accurate is amazing.
If you think the Ancient writers may be guessing this then consider the fact that people lived to 900yrs in those days. Abraham lived to 175 before his death. Isn't this weird?
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Smart Contract possible on Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2017, 11:04:27 AM
Wondering if Smart Contract (& possibly DApp thing? ) can be implemented on Bitcoin.. An Altcoin seems to be taking lots of market share probably due to smart contract... It is too risky to let that happen in my opinion  due to the number of successful attacks the Alt has faced couple with the bad review it got from a very knowledgeable & experienced person on this forum .. . could be why World governments love and promote the Alt?
Bitcoin has withstood lots of attacks, i doubt the Alt can survive half of such attacks if it takes over the market share. Can't Bitcoin just have smart contract?
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 200Million raised! What is so special about this company? on: September 08, 2017, 05:15:18 PM
Filecoin is a Crypto company that incentivizes people to store data on their storage devices... The company posted on Twitter a while ago that it raise a whopping sum of $200000000 (two hundred million dollars)!
This doesn't make much sense considering that many Altcoin companies already provide thesame services. Is there something am missing? I searched the  Internet to understand why the company raised that much money, so far nothing!
396  Other / Politics & Society / How about splitting our World into these groups.. on: September 07, 2017, 05:59:25 PM
Been long fantasizing with the idea of separating humans into countries/groups in accordance with their interests/ideologies.
It's sometimes frustrating to be with people you share nothing in common with...which could be  why some people just choose to be indoor 24/7 to avoid interaction with people.

Every person on earth will be allowed to choose where he/she wants to belong... nothing will be imposed! No faking of ideology   to join a successful group/country.
And everyone must always Uphold & never Oppose his Country/Group's ideology.

Here is how things should be grouped:

* If you hate free speech, you join a group/country where everyone hates free speech.

* If you love to be controlled, you join a country where everyone loves to be controlled.

* If you prefer tyrants as leaders, you simply join your group...a country where tyrants are loved.

* if you love total freedom of choices (as long as the freedom does not violate the group's ideology or someone else's rights) & respect for human rights, you join your group.

* If you prefer theocratic rule, you join your group
 Etc..

When a child attains the age of  15 — 18  he/she will be moved to a specified country/group after his/her ideology or preference has been determined.      ❌Remember, no faking of ideology, we want to avoid a situation where some will be opposing everything their group stands for. There will be no opposition, just suggestion on how things could be made better & stronger for the group and maybe occasional amendment of group's law to solidify their ideology or make it more effective.

How things may end up

Everyone is free to move to any group/country if he/she is fed up with his/her own group but remember, no opposition, just strengthening of laws to protect group's interest is allowed.
Conclusion: only ONE group/country may suceed, other may experience lack of innovations, boring countries, slow economic growth,  constant conflicts, wars, poverty, military coup, lawlessness & human rights abuses.

In the end, they may have no option than to adopt some core  ideologies of the successful country/group
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How about Carrot & Stick Approach for ICOs? on: September 05, 2017, 06:35:49 PM
What should be the consequences for Crypto developers not developing the Projects they raised funds for?
Gone are those days funds were raised by real talents for real project & successful project executions.  Many people today go into Crypto development solely for the financial gains. . which could be the reason we have loads of anti-Crypto on this forum who I believe got attracted mainly for the financial gains .
The original creators of the first Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) never relied on funding, it was purely on passion and they gave us one of the best products the World has ever had.
There should be strong consequences for failing to deliver, if  you ask. Maybe confistication of all their Cryptocurrency assets would do. Lots of Carrots without even a stick not good for Cryptocurrency future?
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / People still don't get it. on: September 05, 2017, 04:52:11 PM
ICO wasn't banned by the Chinese government due to Regulation.  Chinese government are simply afraid of Cryptocurrency. NEO Altcoin was what triggered the ban by Chinese government..

I don't think NEO can be labeled a scam as it has a pretty solid team with good projects.
A Cryptocurrency conference was organized by NEO people in China, the next thing was a ban by the Govt. From my knowledge of the typical Chinese politician,  I bet they thought the developers were coming to prove a point,  encourage more developers & gradually take over their country. Chinese politician are mostly driven by competition with the developed countries. They probably felt that  USA and other big countries are anti ICO and got too relaxed in that area.
My theory is if the big countries begin to encourage ICOs alot more , Chinese politicians will panic and lift the ban on ICO.

The politicians will most likely fail because ICO cannot be regulated by government. Any ICO that is "regulated" by government cannot be considered as Cryptocurrency.
They will lift the ban when ICO becomes more successful and established.
399  Economy / Exchanges / Centralized vs Decentralized Exchanges on: September 04, 2017, 03:36:54 PM
What is really the difference between the two?
Considering the sensitive nature of Cryptocurrencies & how governments feel about them I thought most exchange owners would find Blockchain Exchange more attractive than the current Centralized ones. Thought the original idea behind Cryptocurrency was to decentralize things in other to evade senseless censorship and unnecessary regulations. Why do exchange owners keep encouraging Centralization? Is Decentralized Exchange not practicable or not good enough? Is it due to speed , security, practicality or what.
What is really going on???
