401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / This ICO looks Promising . on: September 01, 2017, 06:48:00 PM
So, there is this new company called UTrust that is "offering" to solve the problem of businesses not accepting Cryptocurrency as a form of payment due to price volatility.
The company plans to do this by automatically converting Cryptocurrencies to Fiat immediately they are received as payment.
Don't know how they plan to do this but I believe it will encourage big companies & businesses to accept Cryptocurrencies as form of payment rather than avoiding them.
The company is currently on ICO here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2078433.0
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Reward for Spending Bitcoin = Mass Adoption? on: September 01, 2017, 05:49:31 PM
Was wondering how over a billion people can be encouraged to use Bitcoin & I remembered a model that worked really well for a local company.
First of all, the main reason Bitcoiners don't usually spend their Bitcoin is due to the possibility of it increasing in value in the future.
If this's the case, why not put in place a kind of system that reward people for exchanging their Bitcoin for goods and services. If for example I use my Bitcoin to pay for an Uber service, I should be rewarded by the Bitcoin Network to encourage me to keep spending, spreading the money around as a result & bringing in new Bitcoin users.
Lest I forget, there is a new Company https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2078526.0 currently doing ICO that inspired me to post this. It aims to protect users from price Volatility by automatically converting Crypto they recieve to Fiat. That is, when someone pays you in crypto, the Crypt is automatically converted to US Dollar. Guess this will also encourage big companies to accept payments in crypto.

CONTINUED:

What the REWARD will be is what I don't know but it certainly will encourage more people to pay for goods and services with their Bitcoin rather than saving them like Gold.

Lack of Mass Adoption is a serious problem for Bitcoin. Giving people consistent reward that is proportional to the amount of Bitcoin they spend would solve the problem. The reward isn't wasteful or unsustainable — it solves really important problem.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Please Explain Ethereum Proof of Stake on: August 31, 2017, 08:03:08 AM
I understand that Proof of Stake has to do with saving ones Ethereum to earn 1% reward for securing Ethereum Blockchain? and I learned Ethereum is planning on migrating from Proof of Works to Proof of Stake but the concept does not completely make sense to me... Does it mean no more hardware mining of Ethereum? If yes, how then will Ethereum be generated?
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Authorship raises $1.2million, still wants more.. on: August 30, 2017, 01:29:40 PM
Authorship claims it raised a total of $1.2milllion from 894 investors but still asking for more in  an email they sent me. Wonder what they will do with all that money.

See the mail below:

Authorship ICO crossed the $1M  mark, reaching $1.2M  already with investments from 894 investors.
[web link removed]
The ICO will close on 14th Sept, moment when the ATS tokens will be distributed to all investors. Interested buyers still have 2 more weeks left to buy ATS tokens.

According to the formulated plan, 80% of the total 100 million ATS tokens will be distributed to investors once the crowdsale ends. The remaining 20% will be distributed as a marketing method towards the first 100,000 authors who will be using the upcoming Authorship platform.

The ATS tokens will be sent to the address you made the purchase from. Please do not deposit directly from an exchange as the tokens will be sent to the exchange address instead of yours. We recommend you transfer ETH first to a wallet like myetherwallet.com before sending them to our sale address.

In order to see the ATS tokens in your wallet balance, please add our token to your watch

405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICOs should be Regulated but not by Government? on: August 30, 2017, 12:29:26 PM
Should government regulate ICO?

I am one those who believe  ICO shouldnt be left for government to regulate.. Governments tend to hate Crypto because it runs contrary to their "style of governance"... Regulation will be viciously abused by government from developing countries.
If Regulation suceeds (without abuse) in Japan or Switzerland, there is no guarantee it will suceed in North Korea, Cuba or Zimbabwe.
Below is a suggestion from one of the forum threads : (I suspect Theymos, the Forum owner thinks along this line or I just misunderstood one of his advert on ICO regulations):

"This things will sort themselves out whether governments are involved  or not. This's probably an opportunity for top notch Regulatory Crypto Company/companies to be launched. The purpose of such Companies will be to thoroughly review ICOs & charge them some fees for certification. ICOs investors can avoid those that do not pass through such Reviews.

The problem with governments regulating ICO is that any ICO that is of threat to them will be labeled as scam and rejected.
Cryptocurrency should be "self-regulating".  The tools are there already unlike 20 years ago when everything was under government control."
406  Other / Off-topic / These Bible Quotes Interest me alot on: August 30, 2017, 11:47:58 AM
This one interest me the most:  He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (Isaiah 40:22)

⬆This makes me wonder if Bible writers believed the Earth was round thousands of years before modern Astronomers did?

Other Interesting Verses:

*   so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. (Rev 13:17)

* No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)

The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3:4-5)

*  God blessed them: "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground." Genesis 1: 26

*  A righteous man cares for the need of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. (Proverbs 12:10)

*  "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44

* "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. (Mathew 24:24
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Satoshi is the Founder of Cryptocurrency? on: August 27, 2017, 09:43:06 PM
Satoshi is the Founder of Cryptocurrency not just Bitcoin.

Guess Cryptocurrency never existed before Bitcoin...so wonder why people hardly attribute its existence to the Real Founder.
Think it would be great to give Satoshi, the real founder of Cryptocurrency the full credit that he deserves esp on his Wikipedia page  than just limiting his achievement to Bitcoin.
Websites are more focused on telling their readers who he isn't rather than what he actually created. Truth is, without Satoshi there wouldn't have been Ethereum & other Altcoins. So why not?

Satoshi Nakamoto is the Father of Cryptocurrency.

How about that?
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The current challenges facing Bitcoin are clear indication that Satoshi never... on: August 27, 2017, 09:08:09 PM
All the current challenges facing Bitcoin as regards to Block size/Segwit are  clear indication that Satoshi never anticipated a highly successful Bitcoin in a short time.

There is this theory that Bitcoin is tool of evil elites to usher in a single world currency. I am a believer of this agendas, (they probably will use stuff like PayPal for the Single currency) but the idea that Satoshi could be part of them makes no sense. I have reason to believe that Satoshi wanted to try his luck with the Bitcoin project ... I also think he wanted it to be pure Peer-to-Peer thing for ordinary Internet users.

409  Other / Politics & Society / Earth & Planets are Alive. on: August 25, 2017, 09:28:32 PM
Imagine this:

Earth and other Planets are Conscious living beings just like humans & Animals.
We humans are a specie of bacteria, Animals are another Bacteria species while Insects are viruses.
Humans (bacteria) finally develop a way to travel through space to live on Earth-like Planets just as Bacteria learned to travel through air to infect other humans. Humans cannot survive on non-Earthlike Planets just as human dwelling bacteria can't survive on anything other than humans.
Dangerous Chemicals/living organisms on other Earths can react or violently attack the humans to defend the planets just as humans antibodies defend the bodies against bacteria. This is avoided if the humans develop some special tools to protect themselves from attacks.

So humans travel to other Earths and start using up their natural resources to create artificial structures till the resources are exhausted,  the Earths become vulnerable, we abandon them & march on to other Earths. .

Kidding aside, what if it's confirmed to be true that Earth is Alive. She (Earth) does almost every thing living things such as Humans do. The only thing am not sure about is whether she Reproduces. Of course there is this theory that Earth's moon broke away from Earth when the Planet was hit (sexual intercourse? lol) by big Asteroid ( the Father?). Moon eventually stayed close to Mama & grew slowly to its current size
410  Other / Off-topic / Satoshi's Posts need to be Securely Archived on: August 25, 2017, 02:09:37 PM
The posts of Bitcoin founder, Satoshi Nakamoto are just TOO VALUABLE  to be on a single server (Bitcointalks').  I am suggesting that they be stored on Blockchain or printed on papers. His posts are 27 pages long & are estimated to cover 360 pages of papers...
They can be easily altered by hackers or criminals. It's just best to have them stored on where they'd be impossible to alter.

I noticed that all his posts are already archived on www.archive.is/rCyTv but it's still not safe so long as the site hackable.
411  Other / Politics & Society / We the Citizens will support Zero Privacy if this Conditions are met on: August 25, 2017, 11:53:43 AM
Every data on the Internet must become public. It is totally unhealthy for governments to have access to citizens data while that of government remains secret.
Privacy should be totally banned. It should be VERY SERIOUS offense for any individual, government or secret agencies to keep data secret.
These and many more should be Public:
* Video feeds from all PUBLIC surveillance cameras on Earth.
* Video feeds from all governnent and security buildings.
* Databases/Surveillance Cams of all intelligence & government agencies on Earth.
* Database/Surveillance Cams of all institutions, Media & Private Companies on Earth.

Blockchain is the perfect place to keep all the data. Any country that opposes this should be ostracized and tagged corrupt.

If governments refuse this conditions then we the people must also refuse any attempt to ban or destroy Citizens Anonymity

412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / What is so special about Bittrex? on: August 22, 2017, 01:29:40 PM
Why do most new Altcoins list on Bittrex first before other bigger Exchanges like Poloniex.  Are they less strict or what? What exactly is happening.
413  Other / Politics & Society / My understanding of God and the Devil (Fallen Angels) on: August 21, 2017, 01:45:48 PM
God is kind, loving and merciful. Devil is bitter, full of deception, vindictive & evil.

GOD:
From my understanding of God, he is the creator who loves his creations and is constantly creating. He is a good, principled,  loving, caring and bringer of Joy & happiness. If he takes  control over your life you will experience & exhibit most of this characteristics.

dEVIL:
Devil hates creations. He currently rules over our planet. Read Jobs's temptations in the Bible to understand why God allows the devil to rule over humanity — He already made promises to the devil (as a principled God he wouldn't back out of his promises).
Devil is very deceptive, full of lies (Google:  "how the Bible describes Devil"), he could tempt you with all kinds of Worldly gifts in exchange for your services and Worships of him.
He possess the weak to raise his army of evil doers, the haters of the good, the destroyers,  the bitter minds and lawless people. If he possess you, you have a build up of unexplainable anger in you. The anger can get you  depressed if it does not "release on someone or something".  Devil makes you blame everyone else for your problem.
He could pretend to be God or anything he chooses to in other to decieve people but this pretense never last — example: he could tell you he is the messiah, the next day or year he is acting opposite of what true Messiah represents . Gradually, he will begin to show his true nature like being evil, blood thirsty, destructive, deceptive, a liar,  judgmental, lawless, unprincipled, arrogant, unjust and hateful.
There is nothing wrong in being tempted by the devil. My advice is to never deviate from the Good... even a little could get you possessed [a little deviation could weaken "God's Shield" on you, allowing the devil to easily break in. This is why it's recommended to always ask for forgiveness in prayers, to keep fixing & strengthning the Shield.]
Please flee from him if you found out he is the devil. God is merciful. God forgives.
Else the devil wins & takes you to his kingdom of darkness in the last days.

Never take this write up as absolute truth. I honestly don't know the whole truth. Researching and asking questions will help you know the truth — never be closed minded.
Believe me 100%, the World is not what its rulers make you to think. There is UNIMAGINABLE deception going on.

415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Undeniable Proof DeepOnion is a Scam on: August 20, 2017, 06:15:58 PM
There seems to be a lot of Negative reviews about DeepOnion. Some claim it is a copy of other coin,  others say it exposes users IP etc..
Lots of claims & counter claims yet no definite proofs (as far as i know).
What is really the problem? Are the claims true? Any more proofs.
AM planning on promoting the coin but not sure if it's the right thing to do.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Learnt that Bitcoin Wallets are used for storing keys not Bitcoin on: August 19, 2017, 11:50:44 AM
One of the most confusing things for me about Bitcoin is the use of the name Wallet. I never knew Bitcoin Private keys can be used on different wallets. Bitcoin users are usually advised to backup their private keys & store in safe places so it can be use on any other wallet if their normal wallet providers go out of biz. I usually wonder why private keys work on any wallet because I assumed that Bitcoin wallets work like our usual physical wallets used for storing paper currencies. Though I later knew my keys can be used on any Wallet but never understood it fully until today. I know many newbies will find things confusing like me  hence the need to make it understandable for them...

I was going through a website when I found a Metaphor that changed my understanding of Bitcoin Wallet.. the site compared Wallets to physical Keychains ( "Bitcoin Wallets are like Keychains", according to the site ) used for holding keys to your home.. .
Thank to this website, am now seriously considering backing up all my Cryptocurrency private keys because I understand the idea fully now.

417  Other / Off-topic / This is the Strangest App on Google Playstore on: August 18, 2017, 07:53:15 PM
There is this strange app on Playstore called "Pocket Ouija" that connects people to the Spirit World.  You can literally communicate with your dead relatives or loved ones with the App. If you are familiar with Ouija Board (the physical version of Pocket Ouija) you'd probably find the App easy to use.. they do thesame thing.
App is said to open a portal to the Spirit World  after installing and using it.
You begin by asking the App any questions and you are supposed you  get an accurate answer from a spirit or demon(depending  on the entity that comes through the portal) that is beside you. You can for example ask it when your kid is coming back from school... It tells the exact time you should expect to see him/her  back.. It mostly turned out to be right. You could as well ask whatever that is answering your questions to move an object in your room or where you are  at the moment to prove its presence.  This is not a joke.  It's 100% true.

You must read the instructions before using this thing or  better still Google "how to use an Ouija Board"
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is this Why Bitcointalk clones fail? on: August 18, 2017, 02:44:23 PM
Most Copycats failed woefully trying to replicate this forum... Those that suceeded abit failed to attract good numbers of loyal members. The forums, no matter how beautiful, are boring and depressing

The possible reason for this Forum success maybe be due to the success of Bitcoin  & the niche it creates for the forum.
So rather than getting greedy & looking for means to become rich from forum ad revenue, focus more on carving out "a niche forum" other businesses/companies cannot exist without or better still create a forum the existence of other Altcoins would depend on

To be frank, I think only Ethereum founder could successfully replicate this forum due to the number of Altcoins that depend on Ethereum.
The Founder could easily unite these Altcoins under a Forum, . where they can come together to share ideas, softwares, products and services. He could go as far as making the forum impossible to avoid.. by making it mandatory for Altcoins that depend on Ethereum Network .  In the end, a giant business environment where Ethereum fans and job seekers can work & earn Ethereum & Bitcoin will be created.

So,  maybe focus on a business/product other companies would depend on to suceed then build a forum & gather the companies to exchange ideas, products and services.
419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Microsoft obsession with Anonymity? on: August 18, 2017, 02:21:20 PM
Been observing the body language of  Microsoft's owner for a while now. He seems to be too obsessed with Bitcoin...thought it was for the love of it & what it is offers... never knew he was looking for a way to strip Anonymity off Bitcoin

According to an anonymous writer,  Billgate's company, Microsoft just adopted two softwares called OneName and uPort for the destruction of the Anonymity Blockchain offers it users. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2099443.0

I still do not fully understand why big corporations want Anonymity destroyed.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoin that Pays people to lose Weight. on: August 17, 2017, 06:56:06 PM
Just got a notification from ICOLert on an upcoming Altcoin called "FAT Coin". It basically pays people to lose weight. Their ICO will launched tomorrow August 18th.

The idea makes a lot of sense...hope it suceeds.
It should probably rebrand to "Fitness Coin" or something as people not overweight or obesed would likely use its Application
