2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] [KSN] KOSON - NO ICO | NO Airdrop | CryptoNight | POW | ASIC Resistant on: October 25, 2018, 05:53:05 PM

[KSN] KOSON - NO ICO | NO Airdrop | CryptoNight | POW | ASIC Resistant | Untraceable Crypto Currency

KOSON

Because The Right to Privacy is a Human Right

| PRIVATE | SECURE | ANONYMOUS | FUNGIBLE | UNTRACEABLE | DECENTRALIZED |

KOSON'S KEY FEATURES:

   Great privacy - we have enforced Ring Confidential Transactions(RingCT) to 14 (minimum transaction mixin 14+1 by default; up to 240) wich makes Koson high resistance to blockchain analysis attacks;

   Very Secure - all transactions are cryptographically secured. Also all accounts have 26 words mnemonic seeds and account files are encrypted with a passphrase to ensure they are worthless if stolen;

   Anonymous - Koson allows you to use ghost/shadow/anonymous addresses (also known as "Sub-addresses") for every transaction you receive. Never receive coins with the same address twice;

   True fungibility -  this feature makes Koson to act like physical cash (no other people can find where the money comes from and the transferred amount). It is extremely unlikely that coin will ever be blacklisted by any party due to its association in previous transactions;

    ASIC Resistant (CPU and GPU friendly mining);

    Untraceable – No transactions from the blockchain can be linked to a particular user or to a real-world identity.  All transacted amounts are obfuscated by default in Koson;

   Decentralized – Koson is build with the vision of decentralization. By being CPU and GPU friendly mining, Koson gives the opportunity to small miners to jump on network (anyone with a regular PC can mine Koson);

   Active development

ABOUT DEVELOPERS:

   There are currently three developers working at The Koson Project. Koson's research and development team members are devoted full time to the project.
   We hope that more members and developers will join to The Koson Project.

KOSON'S SPECIFICATIONS:

Max supply: 100 million
Algorithm: CryptoNight (CN-Heavy - POW)
Ticker: KSN
Block reward: 190 (slowly decreasing)
Block time: 120 seconds
Premine: 4% (for further development of the project, because we really care about)
Coin units:
1 Nano-koson = 0.000000001 KSN (10-9 - the smallest coin unit)
1 Micro-koson = 0.000001 KSN (10-6)

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] [100% PoW] Roto2coin - #The biggest Spanish forum cryptocurrency# on: October 18, 2018, 03:14:15 PM
IMPORTANT! We have nothing to do with Rotocoin, this is a brand new project! Not listed yet on any exchange!

Welcome to Roto2coin BTCT official thread!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

TECHNICAL:

Name: Roto2coin
Symbol: ROTO2
Max. supply: 288.000.000 ROTO2
Turtlecoin's fork
Block's time: 30 seconds
Block's reward: 137.48 ROTO2
No premine
Algorithm: CryptoNight Lite v7
Private transactions
Launched 28 August

------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. What is Roto2coin?
A new cryptocurrency designed to revolutionize the biggest Spanish forum: Forocoches.

2. Why "Roto2coin"?
:Roto2: is the icon's code for the most popular meme of Spanish forums. It's equivalent to 4chan's Pepe. We thought it would be funny to name our cryptocurrency like our God  Kiss

3. More on Roto2coin?
Although Forocoches has thousands of messages and thousands transactions between users on the marketplace every day, it falls down due to it lack of openness. Since Forocoches is an invitation-only forum, and each invitation costs around 10$ on Ebay, hundreds of people just stays out. We want to change that. We want to make Forocoches public. How? We can't mine invitations, or persuade founder to do so. But we can mine a cryptocurrency which value is tied to invitation's price. That is Roto2coin.

Current conversion: 20,000 ROTO2 = 1 invitation.

4. Other case uses for Roto2coin.

We are building a football gambling site in which bets will be paid only with Roto2coins.

Hi, i would like to know which is a decent coin to invest in which is using PoS ?

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why the huge drop in value - 15% as they say ? on: December 20, 2017, 05:37:14 AM
Hi, so now what on earth if going on with the price.
Lower than 17k , this is not great. It was killing past 19.500.

Any reason for this?

I would imagine these bitcoin future trading platforms getting involved is one issue.
Maybe im wrong

Love to know what you guys think here this is horrible for bitcoin, i would have thought the 20 barrier would have been broken by now.

6  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin has dropped 1000 USD today13 December 2017 on: December 13, 2017, 06:51:26 PM
hi , is there something to be worried about here since Bitcoin has dropped 1000 USD today , very scary
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin pricing on/in different exchanges on: November 23, 2017, 05:41:47 PM
Hi, why is bitcoin priced differently for different exchanges?
Does it matter because of number of people buying bitcoin?
I mean my exchange where i am is priced a bit high i think, which is weird, and i am trying to understand why.
The coinmarketcap site showed the same btc price in usd 1-3 days ago and the exchange i use is now all of a sudden valuing it a bit more higher, i just dont get it.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / which GTX1060 card - heatsink/back plate or not? on: November 20, 2017, 11:18:13 PM
GTX1060 3GB MSI with no heatsink/backplate versus a card with one like Gigabyte's GTX1060 3GB with heatsink/backplate

Does it matter? I can get the one with no back plate on special for say 17% off compared to its normal price which is almost near the one with back plate.  (normal prices , its about 5% difference between the two)

Also, are these mining edition cards bad? i see they almost all have no back plate also
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Hello, would i be better off using 2 GTX1060 3GB cards versus a GTX1070 8GB on: November 10, 2017, 10:21:15 PM
Hello, would i be better off using 2 GTX1060 3GB cards versus a GTX1070 8GB ? I am looking at the price and what i get in hash rate. I pay 7000 for a GTX 1070 versus 3500 for a GTX1060.... so i am trying to figure out what is better for me?
And then i am obviously going for a card with 2 fans right ?
Would a Zotac or Gigabyte card be good?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Which graphics card - vanilla or mining edition - GTX1060/1050 versus RX470 on: November 03, 2017, 08:49:44 AM
Hi, i want to get 1 or 2 cards, butnot sure if I must get really entry level low power cards like GTX 1050/ti 2GB or 4Gb depending....
Or do i get these mining edition cards which are out - RX470 ASUS / GIGABYTE Mining Edition or GTX1060 Mining Edition.
Really not sure.

I am okay with either....really but which is a bigger con or which is a better win?
Power and performance wise?

Can i just get a regular cheapest GTX 1060 3GB 1 or 2 fan model? i would imagine 2 fan is better?
Or do i go ahead and run with AMD RX470 the mining edition cards....
really not sure here
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / CGMiner is broken all of a sudden on: July 16, 2017, 10:30:26 AM
Claymore miner works perfectly fine, but when i start CGminer it does not want to start no longer, and it was working fine.
I have tested  different mining pools and still the miner just goes back to the command prompt.
I have used -T and --verbose to try and give more information as to why they failed.

I dont know what is going on and how this s all of a sudden started. Its really ridiculous.

Doesnt matter what i do, CGminer does not work anymore/ Doesnt matter what pool i connect to to rule the pool being the problem, out.

Please note this is CGMiner with the --skein argument which is available.

cgminer.exe --skein -o stratum+tcp://eu.miningfield.com:3397 -u user.worker -p x -T --verbose

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Skein stuff was: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.10.0 on: June 16, 2017, 03:47:14 PM
Why is is such a pain to get this miner to work along with sgminer, there is no information being echoed to the screen to say what the error is it is really frustrating to get it to start mining.
I have an issue where i was able to mine and now all of a sudden no longer, i cant not see why as the miner returns back to the prompt.
I also just can not find a compiled windows binary version which is crazy.
https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_skein
I am in need of a skein capable miner.
I emailed the mining pool admin to understand if there was a change on the pools side but they confirmed that there has not been and i should try a later version.
I downloaded the skein supported cgminer from their website.
I have typed -T with --verbose in those orders on the command line to get more information of what cgminer is doing but it really does not help me
I dont know what the heck to do anymore.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Digibyte Mining Solo on: June 10, 2017, 08:56:36 AM
Hi, i would like to mine Digibyte solo.
I am struggling to go about doing this.
I have basic general knowledge on how to solo mine, and i have managed to mine Bitsend before.

I have tried CGMINER and SGMINER:

my conf file is like so: digibyte.conf (in my wallet/blocklchain folder) not in the %APPDATA% area, there was no Digibyte folder there.

rpcuser=digiuser
rpcpassword=digipass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=14022
p2pport=12024

addnode=184.155.218.183
addnode=24.119.23.61
addnode=70.196.193.231

My command/s are as follows:   (Cgminer version is    -  3.7.3)
cgminer --skein -o 127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose

It doesnt start mining, i dont understand why   (i have also tried to add http:// to the front of 127.0.0.1:port but it doesnt work)

I have just tried exactly "cgminer --skein -o http://127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose"

It too did not work:

Pool mining is fine.

what am i doing wrong.

I have now even tried sgminer using command :

sgminer -k skeincoin -o 127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose

I have tried http://127.0.0.1:14022 and even just as in the command , it doesnt not freeknig work, this is like rocket science

Yes my wallet is running
and if i do a netstat -a and find 14022 it is listening, so i dont understand this , ffs

When i open the Bitcoin Core i just click on File -> Receiving Addresses. Right ?

Such a fking idiot, Im  not sure if i can allocate the address to me somehow?
2 weeks of mining for nothing, i was to fcking scream now.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Bitsend Solo Mining How To? on: April 19, 2017, 10:48:08 PM
Hi,
For the love of me i m not managing to solo mine, i dont understand what needs to be done.
I have updated the bitsend.conf file with:

#############################################################################
# BitSend Installer LimxDEV

# Main Settings Delete '#' for enable
rpcuser=darkjon
rpcpassword=worker
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

algo=xevan
#############################################################################
# Network Settings

#############################################################################
# Promode Setting (Darksend, InstantX) Delete '# ' for enable

I then run the command cpuminer-aes-avx --url http://127.0.0.1:8886 -a xevan -u darkjon -p worker

It doesnt work :

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash Miner Genral Question - Noob on: April 17, 2017, 10:47:24 PM
Hi, i dont know where to post a general Nicehash or mining comment so i chose here.
I just got a new Radeon RX470 card and it was mining so nicely for a few days non 24/7 though .
My ethereum speed was 24MH/s no overclocking stuff and my zcash speed was 280-290 odd solutions/s.
I have been fanning the room but the temperatures mostly got to 73 degrees but its starting winter now here in the south so i barely get 70 it sits at 69 with Zcash and maybe 71 with ethereum i dont know why the one is hotter.

My mining earning was like 1.85 USD to 2.09 and i dont know but now all of a sudden this weekend its been horrible, my earnings are like 1.55 to 1.65 i dont understand what has gone wrong, is my card faulty now and old a moldy ? like it is hurt or something?

I am sure I have installed the correct drivers…and I am running windows 7 64 bit.

I have been uninstalling and re-installing drivers… and i have been rebooting. i dont understand it, but my earnings in Nicehash says 1.52 now on the GPU alone. i dont get it really i dont i feel sad now.

The other day it was pumping and it was showing 2.19 for the GPU alone …it was like super amazing - the hashes stayed at about 290/s

I dont get it , now my speed is like 22 MH/s for the Ether and 265 270 for Zcash i dont understand what i have done wrong or what is broken or what i dont understand about how this works maybe

The 30-60 odd cents means a lot to me.

Please help me understand what I am doing wrong and or if my dream is over ?
I just bought another Rx470 so i hope this is not just a waste now.

Forgive me for my grammar and or clarity i hope it makes sense.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Which RX470 - XFX 470 4GB or the Nitro+ 4/8GB just not sure on: April 13, 2017, 08:02:54 AM
Hi, i am looking and looking and not sure what to do, follow the theory of just buying the cheapest card , if there is a theory like that?
I have 1 PowerColor 4GB RedDevil.

I want to get another card.

Do i just get another PowerColor ?

Or is it fine to get a different card like.... and my choices are Nitro+ 4GB...but now somebody told me to get the 8GB version as it is quicker in terms of ram.
In USD money it is about 30 dollars more or less , i am not from USA but i just used that example.
My other choice is XFX 470 4GB  the one with 2 fans , i see there seem to be 3 versions of this card....i will certainly not take the 1 fan version
My last choice is another PowerColor 4gb Devil

Or do i just buy the cheapest card and not worry about RAM speed and clock speed?
Asus and Gigabyte seem to have good deals at times....but i am not sure about heat and stuff....
I notice in particular the ASUS ram speed is only 6600 and not 7000 (gbps that is) not sure he exact technical story

Anyways looking forward to help , thank you.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Aeon mining on: March 16, 2017, 06:28:44 PM
Hi,

When i run the AEON.exe file i get a weird message saying:

2017-Mar-16 20:26:10.411157 Attempting to add IGD port mapping.

The folder C:\users\arno defeinitely does not exist on my machine, but the heck is it trying to do look for it or use it?

Just feels strange to me

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Which site to show mining performance of a CPU ? on: March 14, 2017, 08:34:37 AM
Hello  community , unsure where to post this, but appreciate the help.

How do u know if a CPU is good at mining before u buy it ?
I find this a challenge, where do u check this?
www.cpubenchmark.net is not a good indication of this i find, or maybe i dont know what to check?
I really want to know because i am told you can buy a really cheap CPU like an AMD operton or INTEL celeron and it can be as good good as an i3 or xx phenom.
Really bizzare, but i have tested this theory and it seems with the 5 computers i have tested, the CPUs on cpubenchmark  show different results to real actual mining.
For example mining against AEON.... AMD X4 860K mines at 115 hashes/second  and the i7 2600K mines at 210 hashes/second  BUT on cpubenchmark  it is not the same stats...
Another example, using an Intel E6300 u get 45 hashes/per second and this is almost half of the AMD x4 860k and they are years and years apart in manufacturing and even speed...
But why only almost 2.1 times faster, it just doesn't make sense to me.
Therefore , for me i need to know what or where to check this information and what to check for , can i use www.cpubenchmark.net as this gauge ?

I really want to know this more clearly.

Thanks
