Alright folks. Here's the nitty gritty.
Baikal has had these ASICs for a while now, mining away at monero and CN algo coins for themselves behind closed doors making MASSIVE profits. Now that Monero (and other CN based coins) have announced that they will be changing algorithms to combat these ASICs, rendering these ASICs useless, baikal realized that they could no longer milk the proverbial cryptonight cow for much longer.
What are they to do with their soon to be useless chunks of aluminium and copper? Dump them on uninformed customers, of course! The fact that these ship out pretty much immediately supports this; the product has existed for a long time now... They just need to be blasted with an air compressor, packaged in a box, and dumped on uninformed buyers.
Don't be a sucker. Don't let greed motivate you. If you buy this, all you're doing is bailing baikal out of getting the door slammed shut on them by coin devs who want to prevent Chinese centralization.
You've been warned.

Once again, another thread pops up selling goods and is locked to prevent discussion. When will people realize this tactic doesn't work on here? I'm not calling scam yet, but I'm saying it's a very shady practice. Feel free to discuss here until MinersExpress.com decides to open their thread up for discussion. MinersExpress.com, I would be willing to test your service and provide you with some reputation after a successful transaction. In order to do this, we would use OgNasty as escrow, or you would ship first and I'd pay upon receipt. If you refuse either of these options, I think we can draw our own conclusions.

It seems B8 S7 is the worst to date, with many failures reported. We can expect B9 to be the same since bitmain indicated B8 was the final design, which leads me to believe that B9 = B8 with a later shipping date.
I personally have 1 dead B8 board, board #3 and it died within 2 weeks of powering it on. I think we'll find that most people with a failure will also be board #3.
Bitmain has, to date, been very slow to respond to my RMA request. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt right now due to the holidays.
If you've had a failure in another batch, you can indicate that by voting for the last option. In that case, I kindly request that you don't cast a second vote to indicate which board # failed, but instead post those details manually in this thread. That will allow us to gather details specifically for B8 in the poll.

The issue is not with my computer. I started noticing this with the release of 0.10 or so. 0.11.2 still has the same issue for me. Being 24 hours behind can take half an hour to sync! Completely unacceptable. The wallet is installed on a Samsung SSD in a 5960X rig with a gigabit fiber connection, so don't tell me my computer is at fault. Seems I'm not the only one with this issue, but haven't been able to find a solution. Will I have to stop using the core wallet in favor of something else?

So this question is for the hardware/psu gurus. I'm powering a Neptune heater in my house with server PSUs that don't have native 5v output. I'm using this to step 12v down to 5v to power the KNC controller. I ordered it a little quickly, and didn't notice that in its specifications ripple is listed as 200mv which is insanely high compared to ATX specifications of 50mv max on the 5v rail. My question is, how dangerous for the controller is this? Am I looking at imminent death? How would I go about smoothing out the ripple to acceptable levels? I do have server PSUs with native 5v output, but they're less convenient for in house use. I guess I should possibly just use one of them with a single cube to take advantage of it's clean 5v output.

Seems makefile.unix is no longer a thing, how do we compile the latest version in ubuntu? cd git clone https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin.git cd litecoin/src make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- Results in: make: *** No rule to make target `makefile.unix'. Stop. Using ls, I've realized that makefile.unix no longer exists. There is Makefile.am, Makefile.qt.include, Makefile.qttest.include, and Makefile.test.include but I can't figure out how to use them. Please help!
