221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2013, 01:59:54 PM
bitcoin.de has breached "typical price" all-time-high

what's "typical price"? I don't know.

Bitcoin.de shows as highest price 273 euro (= $368) during the past 30 days (also ATH), is it actually possible to sell bitcoins at that price on bitcoin.de or were those just very tiny orders like 0.001 BTC?

Yes, it is possible to sell/buy at any price. Bitcoin.de works as an escrow for direct user-to-user bank transfers.
Some users may have some motivation (no other bid/sell for a given country, of a certain amount, etc.) to buy/sell at extravagant prices.
222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2013, 12:45:56 PM
What happens when we hit 266?  Huh

You can imagine. A lot of USD trapped on Gox, and an increasing scarcity of coins, which usually preceeds bubbles... See graph below.

After $266 -> to the moon.

It would be cool to have this info, but from Bitstamp. Might it be possible?

Hi,
I have a similar metric on Coinorama.net
Select Bitstamp exchange and look at the Bids/Asks ratio (second chart on the left).
In the settings, disable the normalization to get the Bids/Asks ratio price.
Unfortunately, I currently don't keep track of independent values for Bids sum and Asks sum.
Cheers,

Hey Razibuouzou,

Been a while, just started using your site again, wow, come a long way.

You know, I've been looking for a USD BTC volatility chart. I've seen it mentioned before on the Genesis Block but can't find a chart like that.
I think it would be really beneficial as an extra aid to look at before breakouts.

Here is a bit of a description on them. http://bitcoinmagazine.com/6543/bitcoin-volatility-analysis/
If not, do you know where I can find a USD BTC volatility chart?

Keep it going,
IAS

Hi IAS,

Thanks for passing by !
I have seen volatility charts pasted in the speculation forum, but I can't remember where there were coming from.

Along with the current market activity, we're currently breaking the previous records for simultaneous connections to Coinorama ! It's definitely motivating to keep up and make improvements.
As you may have read along this thread, my TODO list keeps increasing, so I can't give you any timeframe, but : there will be an additional chart type which will capture either volatility or velocity.

Kind Regards

You may disable it if you don't want to include its data in the charts.

Looks like you try to make tool to help traders. So "disable" is not an option.
It will not help me to see 2th biggest exchange. http://bitcoinwatch.com/ ?

OK, I got your point and I agree, I have to expand to the exchanges with most volume, and take into account other currencies than USD.
I'll try to come up with something (it's a lot of work though, give it a couple of weeks).
Thanks for the feedback.

Just interested: what kraken do in a company of 3 biggest stocks?
Coinrama seems to be made same people?
I newer trust pro-govermental projects. As for me - Kraken smells.

I simply needed a fourth exchange and heard of Kraken just in time, I have no affiliation whatsoever with any exchange.
You may disable it if you don't want to include its data in the charts.

minor bug: seems the site doesn't remember the "show lag/don't show lag" option between reloads.

tried reloading several times, but problem persists.

That's odd, I can't reproduce this issue.
Could you check in your browser the content of the coinorama.net cookie and PM it to me ?

200 gently touched

No, 200 just went down hard.

And 201 and 202. Major buying at these levels.

Give it some time, allow it some innocence  Smiley

Yeah, I plan to add other currencies some time in the future.
Hopefully, this will happen before the end of 2013 Smiley

Hi everybody,

Here comes another update with minor improvements :
  • Added a minimalist ticker for all exchanges on top of the charts, it also displays exchanges relative market share
  • Improved rate and B/A ratio charts colors
  • Simplified UI for exchange and display mode selection

Have a nice week !

Both websocket and socketio broken. No Bots equals No Life on Gox!

I'm bored, c'mon GOX

Told support, they said they are working on it.

13 hours it's been down, and counting ...

Kraken exchange is shown again.
I also added a couple of options to show/hide the Bids/Asks ratio and Lag charts.

Greetings !

Fantastic idea !
Even if you don't get Rick's Restoration involved, I am sure it can be succesful. Did you get any feedback from BitPay ?

By the way, Mr. Loaded just moved his stash. Wonder what he is up to... Time to panic?

https://blockchain.info/address/1BqcwhKevdBKeos72b8E32Swjrp4iDVnjP

I doubt he's selling. Even so, he would do it as a private deal since mtgox is unsafe and the other platforms do not have enough market depth

I guess he just feels unsafe to store 40,000BTC in an used address and moves it to a new one

Do all those belong to G. Maxwell ?!

Funny, it seems like btc-e is leading the price

Add us back in?

Sure, it's ready.
As soon as some USD trading activity happens, it'll be shown Smiley

[[Note: ma relance l'invitait à lire l'article de Marie Charrel parue samedi dernier]]
