161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 05, 2023, 04:01:37 PM
I agree I don't think the woman belongs here, she should realize the risks and rewards are equal.
So if you expect good things to always happen to you then you are wrong.
a person can win and lose the entire amount of money at stake, just be prepared for it to happen because it will definitely happen when she bets his money.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: October 05, 2023, 03:00:07 PM
I've been following a few gambling channels on Twitter and Telegram, and whenever they share a screenshot of a bet slip or winning ticket, they occasionally also include the balance of their wallet. I've seen this happen several times, which made me wonder why they don't choose to withdraw their winnings instead of storing them in their gambling site wallet. Why do they leave that much in there, or is it simply for show off? A gambling expert should know better than to save their money on casino websites.

I always withdraw all my winnings and only deposit the right amount i want to use to gamble whenever i want to play a game. I’d like to know everyone’s opinion on which way is better and which one do you practice in managing your funds on gambling sites.

because maybe they want to play it again in the near future or a few days after they take a break from their previous game.
so they don't want to bother and set aside some of the balance in their account.
I also sometimes do that, if I win 100$ I will set aside 30$ to 50$ to play back.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: October 05, 2023, 11:34:16 AM
I think all games have their good and bad days, so some people sometimes keep playing even though they know that they won't win that day, or feel they are too unlucky to bet at that time.
What you have to do is be patient or try another day, but that's difficult for those who are used to having to play without ever thinking about the target.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: October 05, 2023, 11:30:02 AM
I wish I could have posted this in a more better place but since the thoughts came from gambling addiction, I thought it wise to ask this question over here and I hope we can discuss and get this straight.

Just as the tittle already ask, I really want to know if people who are successful in gambling also seen as addicts because I believe  for one to be successful in gambling or whatever they choose to do, there must be some good amount  of time and effort invested in it as well as money and we know that a successful  gambler must have invested  both time, effort and even money to make any reasonable  winning  and these also are features of an addict as there are always excessive time spent on a betting site.

Now let's be sincere, will you also classify a successful gambler as an addict?

I can't say it's right or wrong, so if people are successful in other fields, are they also addicted to what they do?
So my answer is that time and other things must be dedicated for you to understand something or to become an expert in it.
165  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 04, 2023, 02:24:37 PM
We live in a society where people have different views about something and these views could be drawn based on different constituent like personal sentiment, religion, ideology and experience. And speaking of gamble there are those that view it as an irresponsible activity to embark on and whoever is into it is tag as irresponsible guy, for some it beyond being irresponsible but a sin something that is evil,  while some others out of an ugly experience of a loved one that got ruined by it due to extreme addiction.

These factors has made a number of gamblers to keep their gambling habit a secret doing all they could not to let friends and family  know they gamble. And it does seem like they ain't proud of what they're doing.

But why continue in what you're not proud of by keeping it secret cause maybe you're worried about what people may say, how their thoughts about your person might change. Or how you might loose ties with someone you hold dear to. And many other reasons that follows.

Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.

maybe some people can't accept this, but some people might be able to accept it.
so keeping your secrets and making everything look fine is also a good thing.
because some people might judge you as a bad person when they find out you gamble, even though maybe you can control yourself and not get carried away by your emotions.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: October 04, 2023, 02:12:48 PM
Yes, Gambling addiction has strained a lot of relationships through financial instabilities emotional turmoil, social isolation, and family problems. Gambling which was meant to be a popular kind of entertainment for many and was designed to provide a temporary escape from everyday life and also help one to be more observant mentally task your brain and it is also good for your mental brain. When it becomes an addiction it causes financial strain the strain can manifest in various ways including the loss of shared savings, debt accumulation, and financial secrecy which may lead to strained communication between partners. This communication breakdown can prevent couples, friends, and associates from working together.

If I look at my life and my friends' lives, I say yes, some of us who gamble might lie to our partners to avoid an argument or cover it up.
so I think it's true that gambling can disrupt relationships.
but if some couples are willing to discuss it and find a way out of this addiction maybe they will be fine.
The key to a relationship is communication.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: October 04, 2023, 02:06:54 PM
While watching TV with my kid, I've watched various advertisements of gambling nature (let's say for example, Rummy123, RummyCircle, A23 Rummy, etc.)
These are all specifically Indian ads, but I'm sure you may have seen various gambling advertisements, some banners at boundaries when cricket is ongoing, even in any other sport. How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?

Yes, it is true that children will be very easily influenced, especially since things seem new to them, children's curiosity is very high.
and they will see and study it if they are really curious.
Preventing the display of such advertisements is also one form of preventing children from experiencing this.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: October 04, 2023, 01:59:21 PM
~snip~
Yes you are right that mate cause once a man or a woman involve in gambling  and they don't have responsibility the there's a chance that they will get into addiction cause we all know once they played and win a good amount they will bet again and again. But those people who has responsibility and self control then after spending their money neither win or loss then. They will stop Ang come again nextime.
That happens if they don't have responsibility because they can easily become addicted to gambling. This will happen to both men and women, and when it happens, they will only think about gambling non-stop, and if they have money, they will continue to gamble. Whether the result is winning or losing, it doesn't matter to them because they just want to continue gambling. Maybe they will rest for a while after winning, but they will come back to gambling again. So self-control and responsibility are really needed when gambling so they don't experience bad problems.

To be able to achieve this will be very difficult, but once it reaches that point, I think everyone will be able to control all their emotions.
the most difficult thing to do is to reject one's own desires.
rejecting other people's wishes will be much easier.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: October 03, 2023, 04:32:50 AM
I think it's possible but it's vulnerable if the site is not very familiar, if you save money on a big site like stake, fortune jack, ggpoker, I don't think it will be a problem, but I'm curious what your purpose is for saving money there?

171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next better altcoin? on: June 11, 2023, 06:32:22 PM
So project research is more important, don't just buy and easily trusted by FUD big people. The risk is definitely we live how to respond to things that are happening risks come. Altcoin's investment life is not always healthy. There must be a minus day because of the impact of Global Crypto news. If you don't want to bother, the great risk of investing into Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB is clear

but if the risk is big then the benefits given will also be big.
I do not deny it.but most people still don't care and enter into it, because they are tempted by big results without considering the risk.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: June 11, 2023, 04:46:53 PM
Hi guys, Is it too late now to buy BNB? Or can we expect huge price drop in this year?

All decisions are in your hands and you will also experience risks, because no one can predict whether or not it is right or not to buy BNB at this time, of course whenever you want to buy it is your right, because everyone knows that all prices on the market is on an uptrend, so there's nothing wrong and it's never too late to buy BNB at this point, even if it could work in your favor in the future.

Make sure that you always check all market prices so you don't miss periods of significant price increases.

everyone has their own decision.
it's time for you to buy something that you think is useful, Op thinks that BNB will make a big difference to his life so let him do that.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: June 11, 2023, 04:13:35 PM
All in a bid to ensure I have a concrete investment plan this year, I researched some of the altcoins that has the potential to yield the best return over a duration of 5years. BTC and Eth top my list as one of the more secure coins, but other altcoins have proven to be reliable overtime, if you agree. Despite market volatility and the possibility of a crash, which is your most valid choice right now.

*If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency that will make me a billionaire, Which one do you think would be a better choice, besides BTC and Eth of which I have grown accustomed to?

- $BTC *
- $ETH *
- $ADA
- $VET
- $SOL
- $MATIC
- $SHIB
- $NEAR
- $DOGE
- $DOT
- $LINK

These are some of the best I have seen so far.

*What advice would you give me?

in my opinion ETH is the best choice for now, because you can buy some eth before the price hits 10k$ and above, currently the price of eth is stable at 1700 -1800, you can get up to 20 ETH. and maybe more, if the price continue down.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: June 11, 2023, 04:07:37 PM
I was joining bounty from year 2017 till present i have experience joining different signature and social media campaign with good  earnings and there are also campaigns that is not profitable  and sometimes there are campaign that doesn't pay, because the project does not reach the hard cap when they launch ICO, most of the projects pays token that is not listed on exchange and we need to wait a months or maybe a year before we can sell our tokens and get the profit and sometimes we also buy tokens from the good projects that we promote and hold, can we considered the patience of the bounty hunter same as the investors patience?

they are both patiently waiting for the project to be released and get a good response from the market, but patience is really needed here.
then another thing to watch out for is when the project goes down some bounty hunters and investors might panic and sell their tokens.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats Your Favourite Meme Coins? on: June 11, 2023, 03:48:16 PM
I wanna know your favourite meme coins and why?
There is no favorite coin for memes but when you see an opportunity for meme coins then you can make good use of it because this will have a bigger profit the same thing when the meme coin that is being hype is PEPE but this coin has gone down because the hype is over.
Remember favorite meme coins will have a high risk especially if you hold on longer it will be bad considering this shitcoin will always be discarded at the end.

so in conclusion we just wait for the right moment, or when the increase is very high then sell it.
and then wait for the moment again if there is a new meme coin that will be released.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of altcoins SEC considers securities on: June 07, 2023, 03:26:15 PM
Well they have been saying that xrp is a security for 2 years so i am still waiting for conclusion on that. Many of those i have no clue about and i am wondering why some other obvious securities are not in that list. Maybe they are too low marketcap and low visibility. But i have a feeling that this will be even longer process than anyone thinks. I might be an old man before this is settled.

The regulatory classification of cryptocurrencies, including XRP, can indeed be a complex and lengthy process. Different regulatory bodies around the world have varying views on the matter, and their assessments can take time to reach a conclusive decision. The classification of a cryptocurrency as a security typically depends on how it was issued, marketed, and the level of control and involvement from a centralized entity. Regulatory bodies, such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), evaluate these factors to determine if a token qualifies as a security under existing securities laws.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: June 07, 2023, 03:24:29 PM
Bear market will not be like the past history as crypto is getting popular day by day and investors are increasing. So we can say bear market is the best time to build portfolio and also it will not go too dip like 2018 if we don't face any bad news.

a bear market will always occur in every phase but the market will continue to grow, so each phase will always experience an increase from the previous phase.
for example in 2018 and 2022 yesterday.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we just invest in any altcoin? on: June 07, 2023, 03:22:32 PM
No, it is not advisable to invest in any altcoin without conducting thorough research and due diligence. Investing in altcoins carries risks, and not all altcoins have the same potential for success.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: June 06, 2023, 12:07:45 PM
I don't want coins above $100, so that it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.
First tryout some altcoins that are useful for you. In that sense you knocked out some that might interest you when bull run arrived. If you are a risky guy then go for low cap altcoins that are indeed have potential based on your research or experience. If you are aiming for multiplier than check the low cap mid altcoins. No risk no gain. But if you want a safe one then go for doing bitcoin or eth dca. These two are the safest and might have unfold secure earnings but not same with a risky altcoins that could give you 100x to 500x.

different coins have different risks and different profits generated, coins with a low level of risk tend to provide less profit.
but coins with high risk will provide high profits, it's just a choice of people who want to invest in what type of coin and what type of risk.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is right time for investment ? on: June 06, 2023, 12:02:58 PM
I guess you need to do your own research to avoid jumping on a hyped project that doesn't have long-term potential, this is very important to do in other to protect your investment in the long run.,  there is no doubt some projects have gained hype lately and even as there is so much potential to earn a good return on investment, it's very important to do a deep due diligence to escape bad projects, e.g some of the meme coins.

You're absolutely right. Conducting thorough research and due diligence is crucial before investing in any project, especially in the cryptocurrency space. It's essential to understand the fundamentals of a project, its technology, team, community support, potential use cases, and long-term viability.
Hype and market sentiment can sometimes lead to irrational investment decisions, particularly with meme coins or projects that gain sudden attention. While these projects can offer potential short-term gains, they often come with high risks and volatility. Many meme coins lack substance or a solid foundation, making them susceptible to rapid price fluctuations and potential loss of value.
