481  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Digital Yuan makes China even more powerful? on: October 29, 2020, 08:18:28 PM
Chinese currency has been around for a long time in trading so the arrival of digital China will only strengthen it in the digital world but USDT will still lead as the strongest stable currency. but I wonder if the dcep will grow rapidly in the long run.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: October 29, 2020, 12:04:28 PM
actually it doesn't really matter, but to make sure it is more certain, high rank managers will be more trusted
There have been a lot of newbie or low rank managers lately, and their projects have also been successful, so it can't be compared to rank.
That is the reason to me position is matters. However, I'm not putting newbie, jr rank member into my ignore list. I will be happy with any position to work if project turn into positive, have possibility to affect on our every day life. Since there's lots of example of successful project handled by newbies this also make sense.

now that I mean there are so many good projects and want to do a campaign on BTT, and create a new account because they don't have any members here before. so we have to really pay attention to each project not because of the rank of manager.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SURE BETS with Bitcoin on: October 29, 2020, 09:40:11 AM

good formula if it always could be why people don't do it.
I think there are certain limitations or the odds on some matches are not the same so it won't be effective in all matches.

This is a form of arbitrage gambling and many people do this. While going for such small margin the most significant risk remains is that of change in odds. Odds changes over time and after viewing the arbitrage window, if you failed to take an quick action, you'd miss the opportunity. And for this, you need to have a good balance in a large number of gambling sites most of which would sit idle most of the times.
This is only a rare situation in gambling, sportsbook would always not allow this one that's why they look for the same bookmakers so they will not be abuse, by giving more arbitrage opportunity for gamblers, it's just like they are giving them easy money as gamblers does is not risking any here when betting.

I believe an ordinary gambler can't find this opportunity, this is the job of professional arbitrage bettors where they have a system to monitor these kinds.

Exactly, I made some experiment to find an arbitrage betting opportunity but I couldn't do it because I am just manually doing it, one needs a system to effectively do it, but there are people who develop it already, just pay them some fee to use the system.

the system is not completely accurate, for example the trading bots are used by several people. and if that bot encounters another bot will they get the same result? of course not, one of them will lose. well if the system is used by many people and they use the same way who will win? Roll Eyes
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your fears in new cryptocurrency? on: October 29, 2020, 09:34:00 AM
I guess the fear that many people have on a new project is, it doesn't last long and it worries all the investors who invest in it. Some projects start to show performance after 1 month of release. The reaction of the team and community will be different if they get what they want.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie thoughts about altcoin investments. on: October 28, 2020, 09:04:44 PM
My advice is to be safe investing in major top rated coins that depend on btc prices, such as eth xrp and others. because these alt always follow the btc price movement, and never experience a rapid pump / dump like some other alt.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the difference between stablecoins? on: October 28, 2020, 09:01:31 PM
Most of them are backed by their fiat equivalent in 1:1 ratio. That holds true for USDC, Paxos USD, BUSD and TUSD.
The DAI is a US dollar pegged coin but escrowed by Ethereum. If the prices of ethereum frozen decreases, they pull in the tokens and if it's larger, they mint more.
There are some coins that are minted by choice, USDT is one of the example.
usdt does not have any guarantees or backups so it's actually quite risky but because of its enormous use every day people put it aside and keep using tether as the first stable currency. can be seen from the total amount in circulation.

Snip
Mauser I think you misunderstood what OP was asking about. If you read the previous two posts by Ziskinberg and crwth, you would notice that they are talking about and describing arbitrage betting. These aren't fixed matches of any kind, where the outcomes are known.

It is possible that different bookmakers have different odds for the same match. As an example let's consider a match with only two possible outcomes.

Bookmaker A offers these odds:
Home win 1.30
Away win: 4.20

Bookmaker B offers the following odds:
Home win 1.20
Away win: 4.50

If you were to find this, you could possible take advantage of the difference, make bets on both outcomes, and make a profit no matter who wins the match.

Definitely, the formula is very simple. just bet on Bookmaker A @ 1.30 odds and Bookmaker B @4.50 odds.
If I were to bet, I will bet $1,000 to  Bookmaker A @ 1.30 and if that wins, I'll be break even because I'm going to put a bet on Bookmaker B @4.50 at $300 which would give me a win of  $1,350.00, so less $1,000 +$300, my profit would only be $50... At least there's nor risk.  Grin

good formula if it always could be why people don't do it.
I think there are certain limitations or the odds on some matches are not the same so it won't be effective in all matches.

489  Economy / Economics / Re: btc value and currency inflations on: October 23, 2020, 03:19:38 PM
valuable or worthless money depending on those who use it, of course if there is a problem with usd then your usdt will also be in trouble.
But if the USD is affected, it is certain that other currencies will also be affected.
because almost all world currencies are paired with usd, it is the same as btc which almost all alt has btc pairs in every market.
490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2017/2018 Bullrun repeat in 2021? on: October 23, 2020, 02:49:34 PM
Personally, I don't think the bull run is near but we do have some signals that we are slowly approaching it so I would expect 2021 to be the last accumulation phase before Bitcoin is going sky rocket. Most of the old holders are predicting that 2023 will be the peak of the bull run so if this is true 2021 has nothing to offer beside a massive accumulation phase that would bring the price up to ~15k$. Again , this is just my personal thoughts based of what I'm seeing and what I've experienced.

I do want 2023 to be the bull run as I still need time to accumulate because covid made us to spend our money more than we're used to.

that which is not known for sure, and everyone can only predict, and regarding this pandemic, do you think the pandemic is a barrier to the occurrence of bulls?
if that is the case then history will change because a pandemic like this is coming for a long time, so I think it will cause big changes both in economy and society.
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2017/2018 Bullrun repeat in 2021? on: October 22, 2020, 02:11:39 PM
uncertain either but most people say history will repeat itself, meaning that the scheme will repeat itself.
and there is also other good news, currently paypal has accommodated bitcoin and caused a high enough increase to above 10% in less than 1 day.
492  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 22, 2020, 12:52:07 PM
okay until everyone gets 1 for themselves, the question is whether they can't produce directly, or what kind of procedure is used to make the vaccine so long, if only the inventor shared the method throughout the country wouldn't it be able to speed up the production process? or can it not be done carelessly and must be very careful.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: October 22, 2020, 09:33:54 AM
Of course still if you choose a good project.
just because IEO was booming at the time doesn't mean it will replace ico forever.
the proof is that until now ico is still there and IEO performance is normal.
it doesn't matter how the project raises funds, the most important thing is whether the project's performance will be good or not.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of Defi hype! Time to invest in real business with real products? on: October 22, 2020, 07:56:29 AM
still not if eth gas is still high because the average defi project uses the ERC 20 network, and you can see it on the ethplorer where the most gas consumption is used every day.
if it has indeed decreased, it means that Fomo is over.
If not that still exist.
495  Economy / Economics / Re: State influence for cryptocurrency on: October 21, 2020, 12:40:09 PM
if crypto in your country or a country that has no impact on the economy of that country, then I guarantee it will not have an impact on the economy in that country either.
but if the country has legalized crypto and every transaction has a tax, of course it will have a 2-fold impact on the country's economy, which is caused by a pandemic then the decline in the crypto market which makes prices also drop.

That’s entirely based on few facts rather than just one. A crypto can not really impact in the intensity of 2-fold just because it is been used legally or being taxed in particular country. Well, mathematically distribution of bitcoin is not even and it’s not really huge so as to turn the economy upside for the countries. The market cap itself is so much less as compared to the money that’s being printed in the western continent itself. Lolz.
The pandemic will however affect the bitcoin economy but not the other way round guys. At least that’s what the logic says.

So will the country that gets the most bitcoin stock (high volume of bitcoin in their country) be favored over the lower country?
I think the crypto market is not just bitcoin, because the dominance of Bitcoin is now only less than 60%.
as you said logic would say so. Grin
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc vs ethereum on: October 21, 2020, 12:17:30 PM
If that is the case as you said ETH should have taken over now.
but the fact is btc is still strong in the lead, we will never know the extent of development that will occur in altcoins, but still the one who will be at the top is btc.
ethereum is still having trouble taking over rank from bitcoin, you also know that it seems impossible to be number one because ethereum's currently circulating supply is too much so when the price becomes expensive there will be a hard dump, if this is the case then ethereum can be say you have no chance to beat bitcoin.

regardless of the total supply, eth will not be able to beat btc, although as op said that eth development has developed a lot and beat bitcoin which is only used as a means of payment, but the demand for bitcoin will always be greater than any coin.
497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your plans for the coming bull on: October 21, 2020, 10:38:13 AM
We're you joining campaigns to earn funds or were you buying into their tokens?

I sold at $10k during the fall last time but I remember being busy at the time so it was an easy move to make. I still held some funds in crypto but cashed out the rest and rebought around $6k. I don't think I'll get that lucky this time I do it and I'll probably aim for if the price reaches a few hundred thousand to start selling -- if it doesn't reach that far and it cashes I won't feel too bad.

I'd spend your time now trying to accumulate stuff before the run. If you wait for then you'll probably make less in BTC terms..

I can relate to this very well. Just like enjoying the ride up and perhaps expecting the $100,000 range to hit it, maybe you wouldn't have sold at such high too. I think this is what happens when we have not understood the way the market moves. When we are not prepared which is usually because of lack of knowledge that the market is not always one direction. When we don't know that few minutes, it is up there hanging out your profit and the next minutes it has turned to losses. Is experience and strategy that can guide to the exit time.

if the calculation is in minutes I think only very experienced people can do it, it looks easy when you buy then a few minutes after that the price goes up and you sell it, you think it's easy and do it again but this time you lose.
so it will be very difficult to do to make a consistent profit.
498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your plans for the coming bull on: October 16, 2020, 02:15:46 PM
You can just make plans, but in reality we don't know when the next bulls will happen, people are just assuming it is 4 years after the last bulls happened in 2017, so the question is, is it true that bulls will happen in 2021?
or how to plan to fit in when bulls occur  Roll Eyes

500  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: October 15, 2020, 02:22:03 PM
depending on the situation in various regions, if in your country bitcoin is legal and active every day a large enough volume of course will have an impact on the economy in that country, although not directly visible.
and will not have a bad impact on countries that still have not legalized cryptocurency.
there are advantages and disadvantages.
