Most of the alt go down because they are in relation with the BTC and especially they walk for good or bad news. But there are some exceptions that see their prices go up.

You can't shut out negativity. Most especially when thing go really messed up. You can't think straight positive over really bad stuffs happening around you. It is not bad to be pessimist, but in a way. You can be pessimist to avoid bad things from causing too much damage. But also thinking too much negativity can cause you also became paranoid, which is bad also. Like being pessimist, being optimist has limits also. Yes it not bad too become optimist, instead, it has many benefits of becoming one like gaining self-confidence, thinking straight in tense situation and stuffs. But, use it depending on the situation. There some time that being pessimist might not work out. It will just let you miss some point for your are rejecting negativity, which can also be helpful. Just be in moderation and I think that should work better.
