41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 50k$ in which coin would make you a millionaire in 1-2 years? on: October 20, 2017, 09:42:12 PM
CrocodileCash is going to be ludicrous for one reason: strength in ecosystem.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: October 19, 2017, 07:17:20 PM
It was just delisted from cryptohub.online too.

Big news!

Update for Croc-lo coming soon.

You may want to buy some CROC before. Because the news after that makes using it more worth while Smiley

Basically I'm going to generalize Croc-lo code to adapt to any multiplayer game with "sessions". The goal is to keep everything on-chain - no off-chain wallets. This keeps CROCs in people's wallets to stake, and be secure.

This could mean for example:

You want to play Chess for money. You and someone else create a session and input your money to a wallet address. The code gives the winner the amount they should win.

You want to create a lottery game. Everyone sends money to a wallet address. The code gives the winner the amount they should win.

It will have a simple API to hook into.

It will be re-written in Rust to have extremely low resource usage, so server owners can run several games.

To prevent other altcoins from having this "advantage", you must pay a certain amount in CROC, and also present your game idea to me. You are basically purchasing a license to use the code. Note: you will get the source code in this "package", which will include an example of how to use it and setup.

Any updates or support will require further payment.
This is practically how most FOSS organizations work to make money - through support. Except here we want to encourage the use of CROC, so this restriction helps our cause.

Wow, seasteading and cryptocurrency practically go hand-in-hand.

I agree that cryptocurrencies will succeed more in groups than on a global scale. It's too demanding of a single cryptocurrency to dominate (even Bitcoin).

This will lead to several Bitcoin blockchains running and intercommunicating. Perhaps interplanetary exchange.

CrocodileCash is aimed at being a certain groups currency. This group satisfies the following:

1. They are new to cryptocurrency, and need something simple to begin.
2. They want to be able to use it simply; direct deposits to services and things happen.
3. It should be fast.
4. Holding onto the currency has its benefits: you earn more.

and that's all.

To me we are in a sweet spot to make this happen. There are not too many (any?) cryptocurrencies that meet this demand.

Has anybody setup a new Twitter for CROC ? If they have or could I can link it to the existing website since its currently displaying nothing as the account doesn't exist anymore.

As far as I know, no.

I really hope someone steps up for this.

OK, so to keep things coherent, the current line-up is:

heratys111 (pending)
currypto
Hyperjacked
startsts

and I would like one more to be 100% satisfied.

Fork this shit and re launch  Cheesy

Heh. I don't want to fork or have a "relaunch". The idea is to keep CrocodileCash as untouched as possible, while doing sensible upgrades (the biggest being able to do atomic swaps with Bitcoin).

The other idea is to build a strong surrounding ecosystem. Then it will never die.

The value will naturally go up. A relaunch I fear would give the impression CrocodileCash has "died" before, which isn't the case. It's just getting started!

Was thinking about Startsts but I think he sold all his croc and moved on. We need someone that will be around and not dump everything when it goes up a little IMO

I sold nothin, it was a joke  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I still support CROC coin on my project. And if I work on new project I add CROC too

If it was Gizzard who sold I feel bad for him Smiley Haha...

So would you want to be part of the development fund, startsts?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| CrocodileCash | PoW/DPOS/PoS Hybrid | Snap Them Up Fast | Android Wallet | on: October 13, 2017, 02:02:45 PM
heratys111,

Yeah, I checked before posting that CrocodileCash does support multi-signature.

The way it would work is simple:

Interested parties (a.k.a. directors) control the development funds. When we agree on something, we release funds by signing the transaction.

Pretty simple!

This discussion can happen on a separate thread to remain transparent.

We should start discussing possible directors and setting up the development fund.

While I'm commited to Croc and in it for the long haul I think heratys111 would be a better fit...

Let's see what everyone thinks ...

1)Currypto
2)Heratys111  for community manager
3)undecided

Yes I was thinking startsts too. I'm not sure if he sold his CROC, but he told me he has a lot. heratys111 would be good yes. Hyperjacked you are welcome to join too. As long as you come around once a week even, that's all we really need.

I would like about 5 people to be on board.

@ Mr.Boat: How is it contradicting when 2 different people said those things? Tongue Anyway, it has been acknowledged 1000x that this is a shitcoin. Please say something we don't know.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: October 13, 2017, 01:58:12 AM
I have a family member involved in Deep Onion and I can say with full honesty that everything so far is absolutely legit from them. They have a very hard working team and a lot of great things in development. I sincerely don't beleive this coin to be a scam and i'm definitely in for the long run.

No Deep Onion memes required... It'll stand it's own when released.

Please list what the team has already done. You can summarize it.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| CrocodileCash | PoW/DPOS/PoS Hybrid | Snap Them Up Fast | Android Wallet | on: October 13, 2017, 01:30:00 AM
What's gonna work ? TEAMWORK ! Cool

Hang in there CROC peeps, we will get there.... one day.

Wow! CROCS community is getting strong. I'm glad I'm part of this. Gonna tweet later today.

Funnily enough once the dump occurred there has been more community effort, Hoo Ha.

Sounds like you talking out your butt! What dumps? No dumps lately...

Disclaimer:Trolls like Mr. Boat will be ignored  Smiley

No no, lets address trolls Smiley

1. I don't follow the market, besides the odd check-in.
2. This means I could care less about dumps.
3. I'm here to create organic value, not fake inflation of value.

500,000k CROC could have easily been someone else. In any case, it's not a big deal to me. The more it's distributed uniformly the better.

Mr.Boat, you're going to be missing out Wink

Hi, I actually have been looking more and more at this project and i love the idea. Its so interactive, I was wondering if I could possibly run a campaign to get a bounty or something. I have a good twitter following 5000+ and Id love to spread the idea. Ive tried the faucets but obviously sucks that they are a little slow Sad but can't wait to get more!

Gizzard originally had a twitter bounty but that is over now.

We will have bounties (to me this is just a development fund) in the near future.

Agreed about the development fund but I might offer a small bounty from my personal funds if someone has a large following on Twitter! The exposure couldn't hurt...

Oh yeah, you are free to do as you please...lol. I'm not going to argue.

I have been playing around with some logo concepts
what of the following do you guys like

A https://imgur.com/9GmFdKW

B https://imgur.com/SWJze9z

C https://imgur.com/KSKv14K

D https://imgur.com/znNlBDU

E https://imgur.com/X1nZwZc

note: background still need some cleanup

I don't like any of those, because they don't represent CrocodileCash at all. I think Gizzard's attempt is good but needs refining. Please look to it for inspiration for futher logo concepts Smiley Good job nonetheless.

And your lottery post is pretty spot-on. I will use that as the basis for what I make.

as fare i see you & the rest of croc supports are trying to push the coin in a new direction Not what Gizzard was planning

the original logo was hand drawn & edit in paint ( that's why you see the whit pixels on the black out lines ).
One would need the original skech to make a new version or get someone that is good in making illustrations to make a new one.

and saying "Please look to it for inspiration for" is easy, but it does not work like that  Wink

If you like the original logo NP man
but what does represent  CrocodileCash then? ( other then just a crocodile )
does the logo always have to have a relationship with the name of the coin or the methodologi behind the coin

I like the image the original logo represents. We need to take those aspects and create something that emits the same emotions:

1. Strength
2. Self-aware (CrocodileCash - Crocodile on a coin as a logo)
3. Proper palette - green and other desaturated colors. This helps it emit feelings of seriousness.

I am just be honest. I do not want to sugar coat anything. I really do appreciate your attempts.

Id like to see if @bumbacoin would like to be part of the dev team.

I'll donate 10k croc for the dev fund... 30k croc if bumba comes on board  Grin

Wow !! that is quite the gesture, why not do a weekly lottery with CROC or even design a random number/user lottery game that happens every 24 hours, 3 days, 5 days and a big one at 7 days ?

Obviously you would have to pay to play Cheesy

I can see a lottery game be a thing, but like every 3 week.. this is to give the croc vault time to fill up  Grin

the dev donation fund is not  debatable. It need to be there to help maintain the new site & any big work that may need to be pay

I agree, it would almost be like the whole DASH developers fund they have going.

That is very nice. Thank you Hyperjacked. I'm trying my best to improve the wallet myself so we don't have to rely on other busy devs. If he can dedicate himself to us I would greatly appreciate it though.

I think the CPU issue is from GetStake() and other stake-related functions. It traverses the blockchain to calculate a bunch of things. Our blockchain grows VERY fast. So it will take time to move through it.

There are several options on the command line to adjust memory usage. I encourage everyone to play around. startsts has an interesting case as he runs an exchange. I will have to simulate his setup, or easier, he just has to mess around with a few options.

A lottery game is simple to create. Should the house take a certain amount? 1%? 5%?

I spent some of today working out a new site design on paper. The goal of the site is to help the CrocodileCash ecosystem have a central hub and explain why you would use CrocodileCash. I want investing to NOT be the emphasis of the site and the currency. I want fun and real usage to be the #1 priority.

I am going to need help with the initial creation so any web developers, please step up. I will be using a flat-file CMS system so it will be easy to push changes to the GitHub repository I create this week.

We have to work together or motivation will die.

---

As for high CPU issue, I think the only way to fix it is to increase staking time (so less staking). I couldn't find anything in particular with callgrind. Maybe some more experienced C++ developer who has profiled applications before can chime in.

Also: We hit 400 satoshi guys :| That is crazy!

400 sat already was last week,  trade volume is very few, I would say it's almost dead sadly

We need do wallet update  Smiley

Wallet doesn't necessarily need updating. What needs to be added, or fixed?

IMO trade volume doesn't mean too much. Saying "it's almost dead" also means nothing to me because there are tons of things to do.
