1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com 850USD THunderX3 80 USD Blizzard , 4*Blizzard @ 60 USD each on: October 10, 2014, 12:56:18 PM
Seems their site is dead now...pointing to some educational website.

Dead for me as well

so now there no where in the UK where you can get miners (some did work)

I spoke to them late last night uk time and they said they where having web site issues before site when down for maintenance
There is also a fake email doing the rounds offering 70% of the a2 miners be careful

 Very bad node.

Has been over 100% consistently till I restarted node recently and had a few mad 25Ths miners on. It will recover
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NanoPC Linux micro PC ? (Replacing the Pi) on: June 26, 2014, 09:12:31 AM
I run all my asics  on the Odroid u3 from here  http://hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php. which uses the Exynos quad core cpu.
They run standard linux, don't have usb issues like the PI  and run bfgminer, cgminer, minera  and assorted other miners with no issues.

I would avoid the beaglebone for now, it has a hot plus usb issue that doesnt seem to be fixed even in some of the beta kernels.. anyhow just my 2 cents since I tried to get one working and just gave up.

It's running fine for me on the 5-14 Debian firmware.  Are you running an Angstrom release?

The odroid u3 is a good alternative http://hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php  I ditched all my pi for them due to usb issues

Hey michelem

is there a way to monitor and restart the miner when a device goes down, i'm really having a hard time, i always have blade going down every few hours, and have to restart cpuminer to bring them back up.
it's not the hub, i've tried different hubs.

Try lowering the clock speed a bit worked for me on one fussy blade

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRE [ANN] CureCoin development continues.... Still no coin in the account on: May 29, 2014, 12:35:46 AM
I've been folding almost 2 weeks now.  A couple hundred work units and 90k points.  Nothing is showing in the cryptobullionmining dashboard.
I sent an email to cryptobullionmining@gmail.com late last week no response that I've seen.  Tried signing up on the curecoin.us board but it wanted me to verify team name and number. I didn't join a team yet so all I had was, Team 0 and no name.
Thanks

you need to be in the cure coin team to get paid on the pool

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GRIDSEED G-BLADE Overclocking 7Mh/s on: May 26, 2014, 04:06:11 PM
Hi
I have 3 mildly over clocked blades which have been running fine until today when one of them has blown on both blades the ferrite bead marked (what is the "a" for) afb26 next to the usb connector.
Needles to say they don't work any more Sad  does anyone have any idea of  A/ what the spec is for that component is and B/ The hard one any idea why this may have happened.

The other 2 are hashing fine.

Ken

overheating can cause many components to fail.
the other reason is a short somewhere on the board.
maybe the upper gate mosfet could have died.
check for continuity between pin 4 (gate) and the 4 pins soldered to the same pad (drain).
It's been explained in the 5chips pod thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=519112.msg6722468#msg6722468

on the later blades, gridseed replaced the ferrite beads with zero resistors of the same 1206 size

Well one is back working using one of the fb off of a bad 5 chip and all seems to be fine with it.
Next to bypass the plugs and solder direct to pcb for power  and moooreeee heat sinks Smiley)

Its not hard to put them back in and imo worth it to fix issues

As well as the issues mention in the least few posts the two buttons for guided and manual settings where greyed out for me.

I tried doing a clean install and also an upgrade and all the other suggestions none  of which worked.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Minera] Your next mining dashboard is here. on: May 22, 2014, 05:02:46 AM
For people having issues with random errors i have found they flushing the redis db seems to fix them.

Provided you are not using redis for any other apps ssh into your machine and do the following which will rest most of your settings

Code:
redis-cli

The prompt will change to redis>

then type

Code:
flushall

and finally

Code:
exit

and restart

Almost forgot you will need to re run the install_miner.sh again to repopulate the db

I have one gridseed 5 chip miner and one gridseed g-blade. Can I run both of these miners off the same raspberry pi running minera?

yes you can

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [pandacoin] The Panda Coin ♥ Scrypt Adaptive-N w/Kimotos Gravity Well ★ on: April 13, 2014, 08:59:40 PM
And which panda pool is working now?
I was mining on united-miners and sending pandas straight from pool to mintpal exchange.
What I have to do now?
I don't have any local panda wallet.

When united miners or another pool will be fixed?

We are running 8.6.2 after reverting back to that from the updated wallet after the mess yesterday
I am not sure what is going on but think its an issue at mitpals end.
We are on block 34086
