Swapped the case fan out today for a 120mm Corsair SP120, probably half the airflow but definitely less than half of the noise. No noticeable difference in either the temperature reading on the integral Raspberry Pi or the reported temperatures of the cores. Nice side effect of reducing the power consumption by almost 20W. Most of the noise now comes from the cheap fan on the cheap PSU, which incidentally produces a lot of the heat in the case - probably as a result of it being so inefficient. Gonna wait until everyone is in bed and then take an accurate reading of power consumption of the device. Hardware errors are running at about 1.54% at 1200Mhz.

Hopefully there is room enough to replace that cheap power-supply with a decent one.
I will probably replace the fan with a 120mm Scyte S-Flex.
When I get crazy enough I will just take out the 2 blades and build them in a decent box, and throw out the RPI.

I still have to wait until Monday, the box is already in Amsterdam, I will phone DPD to see if I can pick it up today myself.

Well I've had my A2 for abut 36 hours now. It's been hashing nicely with only a handful of hardware errors at 1200Mhz. Power consumption is much higher than that stated on the MinerEU site. The site states about 250W, but in reality I'm seeing about 370W at 1200Mhz.

Looking inside the case and there is a 30A regulated 12V supply. Not the Gamezone 80+ type shown in the pictures. The power supply socket is also on the front with the other sockets. The case is also silver not black. The PSU in the case is connected to the ATX socket on the control board via a voltage converter.

Is the case anodized or is it blank aluminum?

I see many small Chinese factories producing A2 Mini's on AliBaba and some of them are using blank Aluminium cases.

Hashing OK. According to Raspberry Pi 29MHs, on the pool around 26MHs (1200MHz). Is it possible to upgrade to 1280MHz ? (I have similar miner, but blade version from lightningasic and it works on 1280MHz - 31MH according to Raspberry Pi, 29MHs on the pool)
Silver (not black) case with some scratches and one with some more empty holes for screews..., cheap PSU S360-12V, not standard 80+ Gold Gamezone ATX as described.
Noisy, very high speed fan.

Can you link me a downloadable Pi image of the one running 1280 ?

And I guess you ca just copy th eSD to the other one and have that running same speed.

If you SSH into the raspberry you can edit a file called /var/www/run.sh.

It has --A1Pll1 1000 --A1Pll2 1000 --A1Pll3 1000 --A1Pll4 1000 --A1Pll5 1000 --A1Pll6 1000 in it, just change the frequency to 1280

Obviously don't then change anything in the web interface. You can of course edit index.php if you want to be able to choose the frequencies.

We are working on the minereu version of the scripta to support the frequency tuning. meanwhile, you can check core temperature with minereu version of scripta.

Yes, I've seen your latest mods. I've put them in my version of Scripta. My A2 however has some dead cores, dropping my hashrate by 160KH/s on that module. Another fault to add to my list.

OK, seems you are pretty technical . the cores in the miners are random. they don't always come as full functioning cores.

btw,lastest scripta also have updated frequency to 1280 . so if you want to change to that, it will allow a better hashrate.

1280Mh/s gives me >6% HW errors. I don't know if there is not enough voltage getting through or whether the heat starts to become a problem. I can live with 0.5% dead cores
