This might be off topic, but in terms of the LED's what do they mean? Because two of my Jalas running have only 2 LEDS, where as this new one that just came into today, has 4 LEDS, all flashed with the same firmware (1.2.5CK)
the ones with the 2 LEDS - 1 LED in the front, and 1 LED in the back next to the power plug
the one with the 4 LEDS - 1 LED in the front, 1 LED in the back next to the power, and 2 LEDs next to Atmel chip

i mean the way i see it is, blades do 10.7 gh/s and cost 4BTC
Jalas when overclocked with the new firmware do 8 gh/s and cost 3.5+, and its ready to run out the box with fans. And in my opinion is a pretty sexy looking device.
With the current price of BTC going up, it might just be profitable

Honestly i don't even know what Terrahash spends the preorder money on.
Their expensive ass case - NEVER TO BE SEEN except a mock, and that silver sample which probably was free from the fabricator
PCB Boards - not ordered yet
Parts from the photo - It probably can be returned, and those parts are cheap. How much can a few thousand resistors cost
They spent money on Avalon chips - Refund is allowed Now
SMT Line - said it was their friends they can borrow while it was being put into production
Only expense they have is:
- Salary
- Rent - phone line, internet, electricity
To be honest if worst comes to worst, they should take a hit on that. I don't understand how a business is run off preorder money. And then yell at us for telling them how to run their business. But then when people want to get refund, all of a sudden we all get to share responsibility as shareholders. Don't tell us that we are customers, but share the burden as an investor (partner) when we want a refund..
When you open a business, thats your risk, whether you make money or lose. I never thought being a BUYER, we would share the burden of being invested into a company.

Ummm when we bought it was 8.4 btc for 20 gh when btc were worth 100 So 4 btc for 10 gh at 120 is more expensive Well a K16 from Terrahash is $250 = give or take 2 BTC, and this equates to 4.5gh/s (4.5 x 2 = 9) Blade from AsicMiner is 4 BTC, which ships next week, and is 10.7gh/s Does not really take a genius to see who has a better advantage.. |

Also note, that on eBay it is ~800-900 USD price in 1-2 days before closing. So nearly 1000 end price... Is is 999/118= ~8.5 BTC.
About ROI - look at bullish trend (+10-20% and think about GPU miners (big farms only left, of course) who will drop out in 2-3 weeks with this network difficulty. It will stop exponential hash-rate growth and rise price on secondary markets like this...
lol, no one on their right minds are going to pay more than 600 for this Jalapeno on this forum. If your looking for those prices please go on ebay.. The New Blades were just announced for 4 BTC shipped on Monday. |
