Its not my first mining rig, but for the first time am using 7970.... I tried all the setings that I found on the internet and thats it... 590-605 Khash and not 24/7 stable....

Hi, to refresh a subject a little bit Smiley
I have 4x 7970 Sapphire DualX cards and I obviously have an issue with them. I cannot pass the 600 Khash barrier with them even on 1150GPU and 1650MEM with 1175 voltage.... Thread is on 8192, w256, I13 threads per gpu 1....
I tried to flash bios with the one from the first thread and nothing.... Then I reflashed bios with the one from the website for my card and I did it good Smiley but no change in hash rate.... So, does anyone knows what bios should I use to improve hash rate?

Well so far Im using three 6790s and one of them is in x4 slot on motherboard and has the same hash rate as others do at x16 so that theory is busted Smiley
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Namecoins on: April 26, 2013, 08:10:23 AM
namecoins has no GUI you have to learn to use namecoind.exe on the command line which is tricky

Where can I find those commands?
I want to be able to transfer my namecoins to somewhere

well I got the cards pretty cheap with garantee and they draw small amount of W except 6870x2 but in exchange the together give around 1.5 GHs/s
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Motherboard for 4+ GPUs on: April 26, 2013, 07:18:15 AM
yes, for the moment Im using three 6790s on this rig but i will connect one 6870x2 and four 6790s on this motherboard and PSU once I get extenders for PCIEx1 slots

An am3 socket motherboard having quad crossfire would be a problem.
On one (or even two on some boards) of the gpus you will get half of the performance because it would run at 4x speeds instead of the 8x or 16x speeds.
if you want quad crossfire please go with a motherboard that has pci express 3 and has atleast 4 of them.
i dont think you will find a pci express 3 motherboard that has an am3 socket, sorry
you will have to get a newer one.

on pci express 2 you need to have the gpus to run at 8x, atleast, to get full performance (unlikely to get 4 fast cards running full speed on pci exress 2.)
on pci express 3 you can have them running at 4x and you would get full (or almost full, negligible loss) performance.

if you want to run 4 cards on a pci express 2 you will need very old cards (one 7970 would be faster than all four of them combined so i dont recomend you get 4 old cards)

listen, a new budget cpu on a motherboard that has pci express 3, and has enough slots, will be your best bet.
instead of buying an old cpu(slow, power wasting, pci express 2 only)   buy a new one (same speed, more effecient, pci express 3 support) for the same price and you could run 4 7970s on it.

Not quite true.... Im using AsRock 990FX Fatal1ty Professional MB which has three PCIE slots running at 16x, 16x, 4x and Im using three video cards for mining and have absolutely no problems at all. And I think that ASUS 990FX Chrosshair V has 5 PCIE slots and supports for 4 graphic cards.

well, it seems that namecoins already starting to generate on my account here on slushs pool Smiley
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Namecoins on: April 25, 2013, 10:37:16 PM
Ok, so I got my namecoin address by following tutorial on this forum..... Now, how can I manage my future namecoins? Is there any wallet or what? This thing that I downloaded helped me to get my address but how can I/or can I use it as a wallet as well?

Or is there something I should do more, some GUI client like bitcoin or something else to get namecoins?

Note: Im a stratus miner whatever that means Smiley
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: weird issue on: April 24, 2013, 04:17:17 PM
Mistery solved Smiley It was other pools fault.... I diddnt save settings and GUI Minner switched back to other pool. When I configured minner again, problems stopped Smiley Slush ruleZ Smiley
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: weird issue on: April 23, 2013, 10:29:05 AM
Well, same thing hapened when I was on other pool and then I switched here and everything worked out like a charm for couple of days and then again. Temperatures are ok, and when I start them again, they work for some time and then again back to 0.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / weird issue on: April 23, 2013, 05:46:59 AM
So, for two days my graphics worked like a charm, but this morning suddenly GPU usage drops at 0 and hash rate aswell and no shares..... Then I manually start them again and again the same thing happends... Is that normal or what? And, will they eventually start mining again when the drop to 0 or not?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: getting started on: April 22, 2013, 02:05:37 AM
ok, Im not worried so much on my status as on the fact that I mine for nothing Smiley But, thanks anyway, I was confused with website settings and GUI Minner setting.

Problem solved yaaay Smiley

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: getting started on: April 22, 2013, 01:53:15 AM
Its showing me website mining.bitcoin.cz and according to sit here it should be like this ipv6.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333  (IPv6, only for Stratum miners)

And one more thing? What will happened to my current shares, not much so far, around 2500 but still Smiley Will they stay on my account or?
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: getting started on: April 22, 2013, 01:40:21 AM
So, I have to manually change settings in GUI minner to stratum settings with same username and pass?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / getting started on: April 22, 2013, 01:29:50 AM
Hi, Im pretty new in this bitcoin mining thing so bear with me here for a sec Smiley
I joined slush's pool just recently and found to be in a dilemma....

1) Im I a stratus miner or not? (I have regular comp with 2x6790 Radeons soon to be 3x6790...
2) Im using GUIMinner and have selected slush's pool but still getting the "old" address in settings ..... Never the less, everything seems to be working, Im getting statistic etc etc .... So now I dont know should I switch to other settings or not?

Thats two questions that are bugging me for now, if I think of something else I will post Smiley
