For those that want to see the files related to Electroneum that ARE available including those listed as "not there" by others

https://github.com/electroneum/electroneum/tree/master/src
**SCAM ALERT**
Electroneum Blob with coin parameters
https://github.com/electroneum/electroneum/blob/master/src/CryptoNoteConfig.h
const char     CRYPTONOTE_NAME[]                             = "forknote";
same seeds, same checkpoints, same everything,.
There is not 21,000,000,000 money supply nor 2 Decimail it clearly says 8

Forknote.net Blob with coin parameters
https://github.com/forknote/forknote/blob/master/src/CryptoNoteConfig.h
const char     CRYPTONOTE_NAME[]                             = "forknote";

As I said you copy and paste (lazy scammer did not trouble to input his lies) the v2.0.6 that was found to have flawed. Most update is v2.1.1

These are Facts and the are undisputable

We need some dev to explain this
This are really the electroneum files....what he says makes sense.... And i would like some dev(that actually work on the project) to tell us where is the mistake.....Cause i personally i am very confused about this stuff.......the links are really from the electroneum files

Hi!

Just ranted a bit at my team! The public github repo hasn't been updated in months - we are not a scam - I assure you that we are using 2 decimal places and have 21b coins - and are using the latest bytecoin code. We are completely under it here, and have struggled to cope with the enormous demand - we have 400+ support tickets and emails a day as well as tons of admin. We weren't expecting the incredible response we've had.

This is not a scam, I assure you. Just look me up! I've been around running businesses in Maidstone for 20 years!! In the UK we have companies house (which maintains records of public companies) - :

SiteWizard Ltd - a Digital agency I set up in 1997:
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/03454062

Retortal.com Ltd - a social media management software company set up in 2013:
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08515141/officers

Electroneum Ltd - our cryptocurrency project
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10845797/officers

We are guilty of not updating our PUBLIC github repo (we only created it early as some of the listings required it - but we don't use that repo to develop the software) - but we are NOT guilty of running a scam! I am going to deliver this project and spend an enormous sum on gaining viral traction for our Electroneum app. Just as I've run these other businesses for years.

Have a good day, thanks for the interest, my apologies that we've left that in the public domain - it was confusing, they are updating the decimal places thing, but you'll see the full software before launch

All the best,
Richard.
PS - our github repo does state at the bottom of the page:
"The Repo

This repository does not in anyway represent the final source code for Electroneum. This is an early development version.

Our source is still under active development and will be made publicly available at the end of the Token Sale"
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: September 19, 2017, 08:24:39 PM
I am really very interested about this project and want to know more about the mining process how you guys will do it ! what resources will be used on the mobile for mining ! And if this coin is based on mobile mining that means no one can mine it using laptop/ desktop etc .. ? . Because if a coin made to be mined by mobiles it will for sure be overpowered to mine it with desktop . I really like the whole idea and will probably buy some coins later today .

Mobile miners are NOT downloading the blockchain or doing anything intensive. It's a mining experience. That means it looks like a miner, feels like a miner and pays out a small number of coins like a miner - but actually it's not bringing the utility of the blockchain to the project. We leave that to the full miners (which the mobile miner encourages by the way). What the mobile miner brings to the table is viral growth of the brand. This is still a utility, so we still pay out coins, but instead of the utility being to keep transactions flowing, this utility is designed to encourage mass adoption of the Electroneum cryptocurrency. Each and every app user will have a few coins in their wallet - which will encourage them to start looking for ways to use them. If we can get millions of users (we're also building quite an addictive tap mining game that will ALSO encourage viral spread) then we will very quickly become one of the more recognized cryptocurrencies - which will be good for ALL cryptocurrencies - as you all know, once you are into the land of crypto, you don't just hold one coin, you branch out.

It's something new, it's never been done, and I have a good feeling about it.

Thanks for your interest!

Richard.

well well well,so the entire mobile mining is just a fake?!twin algorithm is also a lie after all because it looks more likely paying bounty for using mobile app ,correct me if i'm wrong.

this will bring back my previous question about premined coins now:

@dev:
1. how many coins would your team going to premine despite of 6.3 billion ICO?
2. how many coins will left to miners(cellphone, cpu, gpu etc) to mine?
3. how long the mining could proceed(years)?

the questions above only valid to dev team to answer.

DO NOT QUOTE MY POST AND ANSWER FOR THESE QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT DEV OF ELECTRONEUM.

Thanks!

Hi!

2. There will be 15 million coins left for miners

thanks for the answers....but...15 million...wth the remaining 14.985 billion coins then?

haha! Ooops! I did a "Dr Evil" (austen powers!) - There are 15 BILLION coins for miners! Sorry! I've edited post above!

1.who is gonna pay for mobile users if all 6 billion premined coins have been successfully sold?
2.where are those 6% referral bonus coins come from since you already spent it all?(20 million for bounty programe+5.98 billion for ico)
3.your entire budget of this project is exceed the 6 billion premined coins now(if 1. and 2. is true),what is your explanation of it?
4. if 3. is true, what is the exactly amount of the premined coins will be then?

once again,if you are not a member of electronium dev-team,please DO NOT quotemy post and answer for these question,i saw enough your silly answers for a lot of legit questions from the beginning.
thanks!

we've never expected to sell 6 billion coins and, importantly, we gave out a bonus to increase takeup through viral reach of the token sale (which is working by the way - thanks to those people who are running Google Adwords for their referral bonus!!). We've raised 1.25 million US worth of ETH and BTC in our first week - really if we reach 4 or 5 million US we'll have considered this an enormous success. There is no chance of running it over the 6 billion and it was never intended to, the bonus really makes virtually no difference. Remember the amount of issued ETN reduces from tomorrow.

Have a great day!
Richard

Hes right tho.
Alot of marketing but no real value. ALOT of guys did think they could actually mine with their phone but you are telling us now its all fake and just for mass adaption. No wonder phones will not have any heat nor battery issues lol.

Now i really want to know: Wheres the innovation with that coin? It was all about mobile mining.  Wink

It's in the technical whitepaper - I've always explained how it works - it's a mining experience - nothing "FAKE" about it - why do miners mine? Not to feel good or build the blockchain, but to earn coins. That's why miners mine. The UTILITY that they bring to the blockchain is great - it enables the blockchain to exist and transactions to take place.

The mobile mining experience emits REAL Electroneum coins at a rate based on CPU power and it looks feels and acts like a miner (hence mining experience). What UTILITY does it bring? Access to 2 billion smart phone users around the world - it brings a very valuable utility to Electroneum - adoption. MASS adoption.

The mobile mining app encourages users that would otherwise have NEVER found or used a cryptocurrency to enter our world. It encourages them to use a desktop or laptop with our easy GUI miner to become part of the FULL mining experience, the blockchain WILL be downloaded and they will become an Electroneum node.

We have a very clear, very well structured marketing model to take a cryptocurrency to a mass audience through a viral app that emits Electroneum coins - people will share it, people will learn a bit about cryptocurrencies and have a few coins they can use for micropayments.

This will be good for ALL cryptocurrencies - not just Electroneum, as it takes cryptocurrency to a wide audience.

I'm sorry you feel it's fake - it's not fake - it's just different. That's what disruptive tech has to be - different.

Have a great day!
Richard.

Hi,

Thanks everyone for being involved, it's crazy around here! never run a token sale before and it's a bit overwhelming in the support department!

So - so answer your question - the mobile mining is a mobile mining EXPERIENCE - a great article to read is this interview :
https://www.financemagnates.com/thought-leadership/industry-poised-welcome-newest-cryptocurrency-electroneum/

It is covered in the technical whitepaper too, but it's a bit heavier in that! The idea basically is that the desktop (GUI) miner is a FULL miner (and a node) and handles the utility of managing the blockchain - adding blocks to the blockchain and gets awarded coins based on smooth emission algo. Desktop miners earn more and keep blockchain running. They are also fully decentralized.

Mobile miners are NOT downloading the blockchain or doing anything intensive. It's a mining experience. That means it looks like a miner, feels like a miner and pays out a small number of coins like a miner - but actually it's not bringing the utility of the blockchain to the project. So... Any updates on two-factor authentification?

Interesting project i'll definitely keep an eye on this and I already have the app installed on my phone.
But please include 2FA on your website and possibly the app as well, login with just a simple email and password is not secure enough these days.
Cheers! Grin

CEO has mentioned on Telegram that 2FA is on the way to be implemented. Smiley

Great point, we cant implement every idea but this is a community project and great ideas are always welcomed and this one should be easy to implement.

Thank you very much for the contribution. If you have other ideas please post them. Good points are always well taken.

Right now it it is easier for investors to get in without 2FA.

Until Nov 1 when we launch, no coins can be moved. Transfers are "disconnected"

Once launch occurs and transfers are turned on, 2FA will be turned on as well.

Lol, I don't want easy, I want save. What kind of an answer is this?! - An account can get hacked and then it doesn't matter that transfers are "disconnected" until 1st Nov.
You should make 2FA optional and nobody would suffer from it being "harder for inversors to get in".

The ETN is not on a blockchain until 1st Nov when the blockchain goes live. We backup the database every 10 mins - even the most devastating hack would only disrupt 10 mins of transactions.

All others would be restored.

What do you want 2 factor for? To protect money transfer? You can't make a transfer yet. Would you have 2FA on login, even though you can't yet send ? What are you protecting your account FROM exactly? Someone could guess your password (they can't brute force at any intensity) and then look at your account. Remember that 2FA only secures your account to protect it against unauthorised transfers - but you can't MAKE transfers yet - so there really IS no reason for 2FA yet. But it's coming for when you CAN MAKE TRANSFERS! Don't panic!

Have a great weekend!
Richard

Hi

Just to ensure everyone knows - the way our token sale management system works is to issue you a private, personal ETH and BTC account - which we then monitor for transactions. It was made this way specifically to allow EASY transfers from ANY type of wallet INCLUDING EXCHANGES.

We've had HUNDREDS of successful transactions in BTC and ETH from Kraken, Coinbase, Gemini, Bittfinex, etc. etc.

Please be assured your funds are trackable - any transaction in that account will be yours - as it's an address made just for you.

Too much shillin by new accounts/bought accounts. I just laughed when I saw the spotify logo on their page. They just want to act like they cooperate with them.

Hi,

Oh, that's not what the Spotify logo was for - I'm sorry it came over that way - we HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH SPOTIFY UBER OR HOOTSUITE! - The creative team added those logos because Duncan Logan the CEO of Rocketspace who's tweet about joining the Electroneum ICO is shown was part of nurturing all those three brands in their early years.

I thought it explained just how much of a tech superstar he is - and we are trying to educate visitors that we have some powerful advocates.

I'll get the creatives to tone that down!

Thanks!

I will keep your coin under observation because using phones is very interesting and would have huge potential in future.
I am only afraid of too much wear, mining need some resources.. How about weaker phones and use rate new ones?

Have a read of this article - it explains the difference between our mobile mining experience and full mining and explains how we are going to take this to mass adoption.

I would spread your investment around. I am a bit biased by my own Token Sale Electroneum.com but I'd also be in bitjob.io if that hasn't already been recommended.

we're going to do awesome things! Duncan Logan CEO of Rocketspace is behind us - he was behind UBER, SPOTIFY and HOOTSUITE! Have a look at:

Good luck!

Please make the bank wire transfer information very clear so I can transfer $350 today after work. I'm trying to understand how it will work regarding bank wire transfer. Will I be able to go directly to the bank after work today with my phone and tablet, login in to my electroneum account and show the correct information to the bank teller or fill whatever form out they give me? How will you identify that the transfer came from me and credit it to my account? Is there some identifying information in the transfer itself? Is there some number that belongs to the transfer that I will put into my ICO manager? I haven't done a wire transfer since the early 2000's so I forget how to do one.

Wait... China has banned ICO's so you should state on first page of this thread that you do not accept buy in from anyone in China.
And if there is any other country you will not accept investments from you should state this on the first page of this thread and also on the website immediately.
I'm in the US. I'm I allowed to participate?

Send Bitcoin or Ether

There is a guide on how to buy Bitcoin on electroneum.com.

Send with Bitcoin if you are in the US.

Send with Bitcoin because then no one will know where you live

Ether would quote where you live?  Huh.

So would ETH transfer to this ICO from the U.S. be forbidden?  Why can't anyone answer this clearly?

Why is there nothing on the official Reddit, unless I'm missing something?

Also, there are misspellings in the "Agreement" section of the website.

Hmmm...

Hi,

Thanks for the "heads up". We paid for that Agreement - so I'd be pleased if you let me know where! We've just updated the website http://electroneum.com to make more of a big deal that Duncan Logan is on board! CEO of ROCKETSPACE! Well, I'm excited!

Have a great day!
Exciting Times!

As i am not a native english speaker, i don't really know if i have undrestood everything. Can you help me ?

There will be 21 000 000 000 coin max, right ?
And there will be less coins at the begining, right ? The other coins will be mine years after years, right ?
How many coins there will be at the end of the ico ? How many coin there will be after one year for example ?

Thank you for your help !

There will be 6 billion coins in the token sale - leaving 15 billion coins for miners.

yes, they will last for years - the emission algorithm slows the rate as blocks are added to the blockchain.

I can't tell you how many there will be after any period at all - as I am aiming for mass adoption - and if we get a million app users within a month or two (possible! - pokemon got 30m in the first month, and it didn't pay you to play it!!!) then it will run out quicker than if we get 10,000! It's impossible to tell - but even with millions of users, there will still be many years of mining opportunities before we have to consider moving away to POS or some other system)

Thanks!

Hi,

The total coins is for a reason! It's to move the decimal point up towards where it will be accepted by a MASS audience. Nobody likes 0.00004 as a number in the real world.

We are seeking mass adoption of a cryptocurrency and we have a strong plan to get it there.

You are wrong to say this is a shitcoin - and I have some very powerful advocates that would agree with me!

Duncan Logan. CEO of ROCKETSPACE - who nurtured spotify, uber and hootsuite is buying in and has publicly tweeted his intention to buy into Electroneum:

I have been a buyer and holder of bitcoin and Etherreum for a long time but this will be the first ICO I buy into.

See the tweet here:
https://twitter.com/duncanlogan/status/899754013574311936

We are going to achieve a HUGE takeup of cryptocurrency - Duncan has introduced me to some INCREDIBLY powerful players!

Watch this space - you are wrong to dismiss Electroneum, and you've not done your research.

That said, you are welcome to your opinion, so have a nice day!
Richard.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: September 13, 2017, 11:04:22 AM
OK first of all, I just want to say, I will be investing in this and love the model in general....

But I have a few criticisms / suggestions:

1) I am worried about the potential for the "smartphone mining" to be a very short flash in the pan. Yes, those that are mining on day one will get a few coins and we could see some cool growth among teenagers and newbies that simply want to say they are involved with the cool math-based currencies. But give this a few weeks even, then the hype amps the value of coins, then the professional mining organizations start taking over and then the casual smartphone app user is getting a fraction of a coin a day if any at all. We need them to keep coming back for a while. They will not come back if nothing is happening.  The Windows, Mac, and Linux based miners will hog it all and I see that potentially stunting the viral growth. Hot-or-Not was a great flash in the pan for a while and was insanely viral, and everyone used it for a month, then nobody looked back at it anymore. We need the casual smartphone user to actually see something happening for at least the next year or so. You won't get this to ubiquity if you get 200,000 users then the mining is fruitless. Nobody will join after that because at that point it doesn't do anything that scores of apps already do, and it won't be a large enough network to be valuable in its own right. We need something that engages them continually....

SUGGESTION: Continue to reward the casual smartphone-based user by rewarding them for recruitment or evangelizing. Have a pool of coins available (since the mining is basically centralized to any degree you want) and reward people based on the number of unique users they recruit directly to the system. Shoot, reward them for the recruits their recruits recruit! Give them a larger cut for their efforts. Make an incentive for each user to become a seller. It will keep a steady crew of people jumping in. Do that for the first year or so then allow the remaining coins to be mined when the network size is so large it is valuable in its own right as a value transfer system. In addition, you show them on the app how many people "downline" have joined based on their individual recruitment efforts so they can always at least come back to see the impact they have had. (e.g. 2,657,888 have joined electronium based on your referrals!) Anything to keep them logging back into the device.

ANSWER
Great idea - we're already on that - the system give incentives for recommending the platform and also we should now have live for Nov (or close thereafter) an addictive game built into the system that educates about cryptocurrencies and also gives a tiny payout in real coins (fractions of ETN) for levels completed - allowing more viral marketing of a game that pays you to play - and a publicity opportunity for the same reason.

2) You need to publish the specific timeline for coin emission over time. I saw that the coins will be mined over ten years? So how many per day or per block? How front loaded will it be?

SUGGESTION: Publish this information so we know how much we can mine.

ANSWER
It's really not that easy to publish how much you can mine! If it were just you - and nobody else joined in we could calculate it, but the smooth emission algorithm slowly reduces with each block and the amount each miner earns depends on the number of people mining. We're confident that it'll be worth mining for mobile miners even if we have a million plus users - but again, the price of ETN will define if it's worth mining - rather than the number of coins. Our simulation of mobile miners suggests a few dollars in value per month - so not a fortune, but an appreciable amount - especially outside of the western world.

3) I applaud the idea that you want to take bitcoin mining to mainstream. This has been needed for so long. I would love to see this succeed! I want my mother on crypto but unless something like this exists, not way that's happening. But for it to succeed there needs to be a roadmap for eventually showing how a system like this can be in compliance with AML/KYC. If any currency is to be ubiquitously used throughout the world, it will be a lightning rod in terms of governmental control and oversight. So I ask, why was the cryptonote tech chosen? Do you really want these transactions to not have a public ledger? I mean I love coins like Monero and they are sooooo vital in the blockchain ecosystem, but eventually you guys will have to answer to government if you get too big. I am looked at as a crazy person in this community when it comes to compliance but I am also a certified AML/KYC expert and the govts of the world will eventually need some kind of oversight on a system like this. You could see govts attack this hard especially if it is a widely-used and strong currency and your team personally could feel some serious heat. You are quite out there and centralized in that the app is the main driver of use. That can be shut down over night with a court order to Apple and Google. I think the govt will be fine with this if you can somehow provide a mechanism to trace transactions on a public ledger at least. The killer-app currency that takes over the world, which will eventually happen, will need to somehow make the enormous financial powers of this world play ball with it. Anonymous transactions + ubiquitously-used global cryptocurrency is a bit of an oxymoron in my opinion. It might have to stay niche like its cousin Monero in other words.

SUGGESTION: Consider allowing only Facebook users to sign up to start. Yes it's a little cheesy. Yes some will not sign up because they don't want the man to know they own this stuff. But, this provides you, as a central organization, at least some ammo when the feds come demanding you help them find criminals that are using YOUR system, assuming they don't co-implicate you guys in helping said criminals execute financial transactions. Facebook is not fool proof as there are plenty of dummy accounts, but the feds LOOOOVE it because it is a treasure trove of investigative information when trying to find a user. Other apps have used this method to great success. You guys are going to automatically be money transmitters by having the level of centralized control over this app that you have. Be prepared to pay a ton of dough to get licensed in all the jurisdictions you allow this app to be downloaded. This heat will come very, very fast if you are growing rapidly. You will need to have some way to know who your users are. If you are truly marketing to the average casual smartphone user, this will be a non-issue for them because most of them are law abiding citizens that have no intention of breaking the law. They will be happy to dish out their personal info too.  They are not the usual crypto-anarchists like all of us right?  Smiley

ANSWER
I was under the impression that KYC was for cash in or out of cryptocurrency, rather than holding the currency itself? We can't limit to Facebook at this stage. We chose cryptonote / bytecoin for the ability to run a pre-mine which was considered essential to raise funds, and because I rather like the anonymity - but I totally see your point about legislation. We'll have to handle those items as the arrive. Thanks for your input on that - perhaps I can pick you brain privately some more?

Secondly, in regard to AML/KYC, I would seriously have considered using a more transparent blockchain model. The feds are actually not minding bitcoin so much because the public ledger does give them the ability to follow transactions to a degree. When bitcoin ends up at the usual exchanges that are AML/KYC compliant, govts have ways of gathering information at that point that helps them find criminals when needed. I realize this is something that is probably too late to consider at all which is understandable, but I do want to voice this as a notable criticism in that there are people starting to hope this could be the next big thing in crypto. Real money will go down on this. If anyone believes this could be THE internet currency, these could be real roadblocks. Will it be used by a devoted fan base? I don't doubt it. But taking over the world will take some very careful planning on how to get past the BIG boys. They will NOT go down easy.

ANSWER
Phew, it's a little late to change blockchain now!! Perhaps we can hard fork down track if we really have to - lets face it, it's been done before! If we have brand power than we can do a lot. It makes me shudder just thinking about a hard fork though - so hopefully not for a long long time.

...I have to say this project is one of the most exciting developments I have seen in a long time. I have been waiting for shit like this to start happening.  Maybe electronium can pull off a facebook-sized effect on the world and make this into one of the most widely used tokens to date. If not, I suspect the above discussion points could end up limiting its success.

ANSWER
THANKS!!! We believe in it, and think we can get mass adoption - so we will try our very best to achieve it!

So, if electronium eventually has only mediocre success? Well, if you are reading this and you are one of the legendary blokes that could build this kind of smartphone system that has the above qualities as well, please tell me about it so my wealthy partners and I can be some of the first to invest and sign up, or hell, we can pay you to build it! I will join any team that is advancing this kind of tech.

The great thing about our combination of centralisation and decentralization (see what I did there for UK / US!!! ) is that we have the ability to evolve, where other blockchains need a hard fork. Obviously we can't evolve the blockchain itself but we can change the market and utility of the app with a simple update. Also because we are in touch with our userbase through centralisation, we can help the market respond to changes that we need. I have great confidence in what we are doing and think the app will take off. But I still have my fingers crossed too!!!

Please, electronium, let me know if there is anything more I can do to be of assistance to you in all of this. With respect... BTCINVESTOR

Where can I download the wallet?

hi,

Before Nov 1st (when the blockchain goes live) the only wallet you can use will be assigned to you when you download the app and register for the token sale.

That's you mobile wallet.

once we go live - you'll be able to start transfering ETN around using the app, and windows, mac and linux GUI wallets. You'll be able to create new wallets as well as using the OFFLINE PAPER WALLET (see my.electroneum.com token manager) - where you can safely transfer funds from your mobile wallet for cold storage (and easily retrieve with mobile wallet too).

Thanks!
Richard

Hello, it's mentioned in the white paper 6.3 billion out of 21 billion tokens will be issued in the crowdsale. What about the rest? Is there a link that shows the remainder distribution because I couldn't find it.

I'd be interested to know how much for the mining pool, and how much for the promoters / company?

The rest need to be mined from the blockchain with mobile or GUI windows / mac / linux miners.

Thanks!
