What are you talking about? There are no import duties for EU, just Vat and the usual shippers handling fees. Any European distributor will have to still pay VAT on imports and will just pass it on and add it to the price. The only way to mine without VAT is nog to Import Chinese miners Into the EU. Have them shipped to a hosting company in the US or China or Iceland or just anywhere without VAT on imports. US is a great country - they even don't apply VAT and big import taxes on the miners  Paid $9 for a miner some time ago.  |

interesting thoughts from Inno branch:
Once the Dash difficulty reaches 65 000 000 then D3's will officially cost more to run than they will be making. (at current rates ect..) The difficulty is at 36 000 000 as of the time of this writing.
Contrast that to the A5. The mining difficulty would have to reach 180 000 000 before the A5's are obsolete in the US (given average US power costs.. other areas will vary). If the A5 used the same power draw as the D3, then the network difficulty would need to reach 110 000 000 before profits are lost. Either way, much better than the D3 of course.

Experts are saying they also can't do equihash or ethash anytime soon, they must be really worried.
I suspect in a year nobody will even remember their name, like so many since 2011 that are no longer mentioned ( asic miners )

I bought into the ICO in the Batch 1 timeframe and now my tokens are currently worth 44% more than I paid, plus I am earning rent on them while I wait for Giga-Watt to install my miner.
No, token dumped to about $1 now, with the 3rd batch release. People can't use them, because of the delays. |

can anybody explain why difficulty jumps so vigorously? From 20 mln to 52 mln, than back to 20 and up to 27 (at the moment) ?
I could understand similar situation for Bitcoin, because some miners may continuously be switching between the most profitable coins (BTC->BCH etc.), but with X11 this can't be so, because there is no more interesting coin than Dash [now].

Where do you guys get these numbers?!?!?! The DASH difficulty is at 25 million. It's never been above that! Do you not realize that these online calculators temporarily display glitches and aberrations? 50 Million?!?!?!?! LMAO!!
Coniwartz showed earlier today 52mln. Now it retraced to 32mln. Nevertheless there are a lot of altcoins which mining have negative profit now. What prevents Dash from turing into such loss coin? |

difficulty wont go more then 50 mil so it will be 3.5 usd day without electricity at least i will be making that amount free electricity for me but other folks who have to pay for electricity they will be screwed some even wont get any revenue It will mathematically impossible for the Dash network to reach "50 M ". At some point waaaay south of that difficulty, a LOT of people that over paid for D3 Servers and are overpaying for Kwh, will be forced off the network because they will be mining at a loss. It's a game of attrition now. The same has happened in BTC and will happen in ALL crypto POW protocols. It's the nature of the beast. Man this hysteria is getting.....well......Hysterical. Difficulty now is 51.9M  What can you say now? |

This should be a Lesson for the future: If a coin's difficulty is low, and a new powerfull miner for that coint appeares on the market, with hashrate far exceeding hashrates of present miners, only those who get the very early new miners, will be able to benefit. All others will be f...ed by the impetuous difficulty's rise. Here is my conclusion Indisputable. But....it would be better to recognize this BEFORE it happens. Like some of us did. Funny thing is.....when we tried to warn people, they got mad at us and called us heretics. People hate the truth. You was totally correct, we need to admit now Unfortunately, if you are not in the crypto for many years, it's difficult to realise the rules of this game. |
