2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: October 13, 2019, 11:14:31 AM
It's hard to win a huge amount when you only have small amount of capital. You will need a lot of luck and it would take you a lot of time before winning a huge amount which is also hard since some games aren't good for long run. I haven't experienced winning huge amount (well we have our own definition of huge amount) since I don't gamble a lot, only if I have free time and I don't give much amount on my capital. I won't risk much money on gambling cause gambling is just for fun and entertainment for me.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 13, 2019, 07:37:28 AM
If you really love a certain sport, it would be easy for you to understand things about the said sport. How most players would play, teams that are most likely to win and such. Let's say you've been a fan of basketball ever since, then you would ways watch games. It's easy for you to know what team is stronger. So if you would make a bet, you know who's most likely to win.
It's just a matter of knowledge about the sports and the players. Unlike other gambling who need luck, sports betting is more of analysis based on their history of performance.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptomania: The Bitcoin Bop [Animation] on: October 11, 2019, 02:20:13 PM
Cool animation! I liked how it was made. Using 8-bit graphics, it looks like super mario, even the music and it gives a very nostalgic feeling. It was also very colorful, it can catch people's attention. It would also be nice if you could make a story with plot about bitcoin using this animation. But really op, it was really nice. Good work!
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tobacco shops - the way to Bitcoin adoption on: October 11, 2019, 01:12:00 PM
Others may think that tobacco business is only a small one but I disagree. I don't know in other countries but here in my country, cigarettes are everywhere. According to what I have searched, ONE company (philip morris) produces over 800 billion cigarettes each year... It only shows that cigarette business are not a small time. Imagine if you sum up each cigarette brand's production.

To conclude things, cigarette businesses are not small and it can help to increase mass adoption. The bigger the companies who'll accept bitcoin and other coins as a payment, the bigger chance for bitcoin to achieve mass adoption faster.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to miners when Bitcoin limit supply completely mined? on: October 10, 2019, 01:32:04 PM
2140 is still way too far from today. There are a lot of circumstances that might happen within the coming years. We never know if bitcoin were still existing when we reach 2140. Plus we don't have to worry when that time comes 'cause we're already dead. Let those people in that era to solve their problems when bitcoin were completely mined.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unicef now accepting donations through bitcoin and ether on: October 10, 2019, 12:39:24 PM
This one is a good news. Unicef aims to help children and now bitcoin and cryptocurrency are becoming a part of it. A lot of bad image were given to bitcoin for years because of illegal activities but this is one of the ways to help restore its image to the public that bitcoin isn't a bad thing. We can also do good with crypto.

I've read the link and I really liked what Fabian said “We see this as a piece of learning that we need to go through to prepare for the next decade,”.
Which is really true, we need to learn it to see the importance and its use that can be really helpful in the future.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Books on: October 10, 2019, 12:07:15 PM
I have never read a book regarding cryptocurrency or bitcoin. Well, I am not even a fan of reading books and I don't see books about bitcoin being popular here. The nature of bitcoin is digital and we tend to rely more digitally than physical books (even on other cases). Gathering information about bitcoin is much easier online. It takes more time reading the whole book if you're only looking for a certain information. This is only my opinion, and if other want to read books about bitcoin, then go. I'm not stopping you.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think majority of the people heard or read Bitcoin one time or another on: October 10, 2019, 11:16:09 AM
Probably yes, if we work and continue to spread the knowledge and existence about bitcoin. Actually the popularity of bitcoin is increasing and it's possible. My old classmates, knew and heard about bitcoin maybe because of me and now, my new classmates already already heard bitcoin. They don't fully know about bitcoin and crypto but they're already familiar with it. That's why I believe that majority would've heard and read bitcoin after ten years.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I access my BTC and other wallets on Public Internet Cafe on: October 09, 2019, 03:48:00 PM
You know the risk it includes when using public internet cafe when accessing personal and important data and account. If it's very important, we should not risk it considering the fact that you might lose all your money. In public internet cafe, there's a lot of possibilities, it is not safe there. Internet cafe are more prone to hacks, viruses, scams and etc that's why we should always be careful to avoid it. But by doing that, you just make yourself vulnerable. Although you have no choice, it's better to make other choice or find a different way. As for me, internet cafes are the least of the options. You should also be careful on the internet cafe, if you have already rented there or you know the owner and if you think it's kinda trust-worthy. You should not just rent at any cafe you don't know... But I hope, nothing bad happens to you and your assets.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone here running any Bitcoin ATMs? on: October 09, 2019, 03:08:57 PM
Any advice on what I should do (or not do) and things to consider starting off would be greatly appreciated.
I can't help you with the ATM thingy since I haven't even seen one personally nor tried it. And I also have no plan of it as a business but you should also consider the popularity of bitcoin in your place. Whether there are a lot of users that might use your ATM or not. Start your planning before purchasing one. It's always better to start with a plan. Estimate if you'll be able to gain profit from it, how big is the possible profit, and the time.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Fully Decentralized World is Possible? on: October 09, 2019, 02:34:04 PM
What you're saying is almost impossible. We cannot live in a fully decentralized world where everything we do is in our own control and no one would be controlling us at any aspect. Unless everything you do, use, and such are your own. If each and everyone can create and make their own internet, money, things, then you control your own. But since you're in a country govern by someone higher than you, and you're using something you didn't make, then they can still control you . It's possible if you have your own country where you're the only one living there. But you know the saying, "no man is an island"? We cannot live by our own. With only ourselves. We always need someone to help us, to accompany us, and such.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Fiat currencies still exist or be replaced by Crypto Currencies? on: October 09, 2019, 01:58:36 PM
There are cases where people are not capable or knowledgeable enough to understand other cashless payment option. In addition to that, not all entities (especially small time businesses) are also capable to accept those kind of payments. Fiat is the traditional one and everyone are used to it so it's hard to replace everything when people grew up using paper money. Just like what you have mentioned, there are situations where problems occur when using only cashless payment method.

Fiat and crypto can work together in order to alleviate the standards of living of each and everyone of us.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not that good as currency? on: October 08, 2019, 03:24:08 PM
Primarily it's because of its volatility that makes bitcoin as not that good for currency. In our everyday life, we buy things, foods that are essential to survive, imagine everyday its value are changing. It'll be a hard for everyone, even monitoring its price and value everyday.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 Ways to Make Money with Bitcoin in 2020 on: October 08, 2019, 01:18:43 PM
8 ways you have mentioned can really help you earn money but some of it are just very risky and can also lead to losing your money. In gambling, you can earn but everything there is a risk. Easy money also lose that fast. But if you want to earn bitcoin without investing your money, you can work for it. What you have to invest is your time and effort.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WERE YOUR STOLEN BITCOINS EVER RETURNED???? on: October 08, 2019, 06:50:33 AM
A scammer who stole your bitcoin and then returned it to you afterwards? So what's the point of stealing it? Maybe it's possible if the one he scammed, caught him. His identity and others so he have no choice but to return it. Though I haven't experienced nor encountered it yet... It's possible but with really low chance of happening, unless he realized that what he's doing is wrong.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think Voodoo works in Gambling Games? on: October 08, 2019, 05:33:45 AM
It's only a matter of belief. As for me, I don't belive in it. A voodoo that brings luck when gambling? Actually the luck itself is also a matter of belief. I do believe in luck but not with voodoo. This is the first time I've about this. Lucky charm is possible but voodoo? It sounds so scary.

If a person is lucky, then he's lucky. If it's in his fate to win, then it's in his fate.  I don't believe voodoo has the luck when gambling. Rather your strategy, analytical, mathematical skills and some luck.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many gambling sites are you playing and do you use the same strategy on: October 07, 2019, 03:24:44 PM
I don't play that much, only if I have free time and it depends on the nature of the game and also on my mood. When I feel like doing different strategy or experimenting another method, then I'll do it. I have my own analytical strategies, and if I feel like that the strategy would work on the game, then I'll go for it. But I don't really just stuck myself with only one method since sometimes it won't work or the fate doesn't allow me to win with that method so I have to find another strategy just to win.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is Literally Hitting the Road on: October 07, 2019, 11:47:46 AM
It's only possible if the governments are positive towards bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It's actually a good way to promote crypto... It's like crypto is travelling itself to promote so that a lot of people can surely see the ad.

There's a lot of ways to advertise crypto. Just like here in my country, since there's a lot of billboards you can see while travelling on the road, it's one of the best way to promote crypto. Traffic is also severe, and if they got stuck in the traffic they could see the ad... Only if someone would sponsor or willing to do it. But actually, I wish I could also see such promotion here in my country just like what you have saw op.
20  Other / Meta / Re: 3 Years Ago I Lost 5 BTCs from a Scam Sent From BitcoinTalk.org Official Email on: October 07, 2019, 07:55:05 AM
Ouch. That was sad to hear. It's a lesson that you should never sent your bitcoin when you're not sure what is it about. Though it was still 2017, it's now 2019 I bet you've already grown and learn how to avoid scams. Since we're responsible for our own actions here in crypto, we can't blame anyone because it's our own action afterall.
