663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Cryptocurrency in Universities? on: May 16, 2018, 11:33:49 PM
Do you think that cryptocurrency should be taught in schools or University? Specially in the field of business management?

As a student, I believe it will give us an advantage to this so called cryptoworld, right?

This is quite an interesting idea and could really work since the economy is leaning to more technology based market so eventually our education will also adapt. This is may be already happening as an additional knowledge but soon, it will be a regular lesson for students who want  to pursue business or even computer science and IT.
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Strategy on: May 16, 2018, 11:19:58 PM
Greetings! I am planning to invest $5,000 in cryptocurrency but I do not know how to invest. And where should I invest? - in Bitcoin, in alternate cryptocurrency, or in ICO? I’m asking for an investment strategy for professional traders or investors out there.

If you want to start small and safe, there are a variety of coins to pick. And when you saved enough, you can try multiple coins so you can expand more in this industry. Just remember that every investment has a possibility to either win or loss. So the perfect timing and patience is needed in order to succeed in this business. A good strategy also includes watching out for the drops so you can buy more coins.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 16, 2018, 11:02:32 PM
Why, until now, government all over the world still doesn't trust bitcoin?

It is a tough battle to convince everyone that bitcoin should be trusted and treated properly as a currency and as an asset. Fortunately, some countries are on our side for this quest to improve our monetary system. South Korea and Japan are one of the friendliest countries for cryptocurrency and I hope more nations will also see this opportunity and won't waste this chance.
666  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin & College students . on: May 16, 2018, 10:29:26 PM
I believe that a huge portion of the the crypto community are still young college students that don't have any necessities that need another source of income aside from their scholarships / the money they are getting from their parents .
And apart from spending their cryptos on either betting or purchasing goods/video games from online markets , many of these students didn't make plans for what they'll do with their coins in the future.
I myself have had many thoughts about hodling and launching a business as soon as i graduate with the coins in my possession , yet i'm not exactly sure what i'll be doing ..
So i'm really curious about :
- On what do you spend your coins apart than partying/gambling/paying for tuition loans ?
- Do you have any future plans for your coins if you are hodling any ?

Studying while trading and investing is a great motivator because you know that your future is secured. Bitcoin can be helpful to save more money and earn from investing on it. This could work on especially on college loans that stuck with us in the next years. Bitcoin can also serve as investment so you can start your dream business in the future which mine is coffee shop.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: May 16, 2018, 09:10:40 PM
This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

Sadly with the dat file gone, the bitcoin cannot be accessed anymore. This unfortunate accident hopefully serves a moral for everyone of us in this industry to take extra precaution in dealing with your wallet accounts. Remember that no matter how perfect the system or program is, everything is still in the hands of the user. I can't imagine the pain of losing this treasure but I hope you can make it back in bitcoin.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: May 16, 2018, 04:57:24 PM
Be ready and aware that 2018 is the year of regulatory reckoning. Countries around the world are trying to determine how they are going to treat cryptocurrencies. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) has halted several ICOs and hinted at the need for greater crypto regulation.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue. And as an investor, I really have no choice but to stay with crypto once the governments around the world have control to cryptocurrencies (if that became possible).

So as much as we can, also invest with physical properties with what you've earned. For we don't know what will happen next with our money in the digital world.

This is not an advice. It's simply a shared idea.

How about you? What do you have in mind? Undecided

Bitcoin is independent from any governing countries and I like it to remain that way. If the government gains control over bitcoin, they will put tax on it and additional layers of third parties. This would make the industry no different with fiat because it removes its feature being decentralized. I hope that this event would never happen and I wish bitcoin will remain independent.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS. GOLD on: May 16, 2018, 03:36:16 PM
Will the bitcoin replace the Gold? If there is A war coming everyone will run to the Bitcoin instead of the gold?
Some analyst  say that in 5 years BTC will be less than $100 while GOLD will be above 10K, your thoghts?
I did my risk mangment and split my investments, boght PAX coin to be on the safe side.

Personally, I think bitcoin can beat gold because of bitcoin is cheaper to store than gold which needs expensive vaults and security team in every transport. Bitcoin is better because transactions are faster and also cheaper unlike gold which is hard to transport because of taxes and government policies. So I stand that bitcoin is a lot better than gold.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future predictions about crypto currencies on: May 16, 2018, 02:13:36 PM
Hi folks share your thoughts about crypto currencies. i will really appreciate to all experts here thanks

It is hard to exactly predict on what will happen to the cryptocurrencies in the future but we can hope for the best. First, I hope that in the future, government will finally fully accepts this technology and stop trying to ban it just because they want to put tax on it. Second, I hope that more companies will accept cryptos as another payment system. Lastly, I hope the misconceptions about crptos will be gone with the years to come that we can make them understand.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining , Is it worth it? on: May 16, 2018, 01:14:23 PM
Hello guys, I have a friend who told me about BITCOIN MINING.

What do you think? Is it worth it ? Buying Hardwares / Mining Rigs and plus the TIME to be consume.
I'm not even familiar with it , so I'm probably asking for advice on for those old miners.

Electricity here in PH is so expensive. Do you have some tips and tricks?

Thanks in advance guys !  Wink

Mining bitcoin is profitable in other countries but not here in mime. This country I live is probably the one with the slowest Internet connection. Also, the cost of electricity here is expensive plus a good quality computer is more expensive here because we just imported them from other countries. Mining can be efficient as long as you got a good internet connection, a cheap and continues source of electricity, and a 24/7 running PC.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can FUD destroy bitcoin? on: May 15, 2018, 08:28:24 PM
Many of the FUDs circulating about bitcoin seem to indicate the scouring of bitcoin users' trust on bitcoin so bad perceptions of bitcoin, especially for new users and selling bitcoin, which seems deterrent to use bitcoin, will the price of bitcoin be destroyed by FUD, How do you react to it?

FUDs plays a great factor in the prices because it promotes panic selling. Sadly, this makes the prices go lower and the market slower. To fight the fear, uncertainty and doubt you must practice patience. FUDs are internal so individually, you should focus more on the investments and not in your negative thoughts. Never let those negative thoughts eat you nor your investment.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just lost my entire wallet of 13 BTC. on: May 15, 2018, 05:44:38 PM
Cautionary Tale: I messed up. Big time. Please don’t pile on harder as I’m already sick to my stomach.

NEVER EXPOSE YOUR BTC KEYS/Seed to an forked wallet.

Two days ago, I attempted to split my BTC Diamond and BTC Private. I could not get it.

At some point, I exposed my Ledger Nano with my BTC on it, to each of their Electrum Wallets.

Last night, my wallet was emptied of ALL my BTC, 13+ coins.

Here is the transaction.

I’m not scamming, just utterly sick to my stomach for losing 13+ BTC.

It appears that I have now lost my entire life savings. I’m not begging for a handout but rather attempting to warn anyone new to the space. I’m sick to my stomach with the loss and my only hope is to gain the attention of the culprit.

If you have any space in your heart, please return the BTC. I’d accept a fraction of what was stolen. Please don’t completely bankrupt me.

This is a very unfortunate and tragic. I wish that you will better soon and don't give up at bitcoin yet. May be we cannot bring back what is lost but we can still start again. I hope that this story will serves a lesson for everyone. I am really sorry for you and I will pray for you and your account.
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is Different From Other Currencies? on: May 15, 2018, 04:37:03 PM
Bitcoin is a digital currency that was created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009.It is created electronically and impossible to control it.This currency are not printed currency like dollars or euros.Running computer all around the world are producing it.Owing to this reason they are different from other currencies.

Bitcoin is different and even better than in the fiat currencies for me. Bitcoin is more special because it eliminated the series of third parties that makes your transaction expensive. With these third parties gone, buying products will be cheaper and also quicker. Bitcoin is also stored digitally so there's no need of expensive vaults. Bitcoin is a very secured system thanks to block chain technology.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin govern the whole world? on: May 13, 2018, 09:41:36 PM
Nowadays bitcoin reach other countries and it is use in some transactions and very helpful in some country's economic.
What you can say?
Can bitcoin govern the world of business market, govern the world of every payments as it is moving to make it the future money.?

There is growing number of people engaging in crypto currencies and bitcoin is really popular. As our society becomes more reliant to modern day technologies, I believe that crypto currency will be the future of our economy. I hope that these cryptos will be more commonly use by the public and give rise to a new era of living.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is selling Bitcoin? on: May 13, 2018, 08:08:54 PM
Everyone in here is desperate to convince each other the Bitcoin can only go up and therefore you have to buy and hold.

But when you buy Bitcoin, someone is selling it to you.

Why are people selling Bitcoin?

The knowledgeable people are the ones who are now slowly selling out before the bubble bursts. When you are now buying more and more Bitcoin ("investing" as people in here call it) who do you think you are buying them from?

You are buying from the knowledgeable people who are slowly getting rid of their Bitcoin.

Some investments have short periods of time. May be the person sells it because they really need the money back because of urgent reasons. Or they had bought it years before when the price was low and only wants to earn money. They are selling it may be because they also want others to experience it and let the industry to grow more.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we all please accept.. on: May 08, 2018, 11:42:42 PM
Accept the fact that most of governments will oppose crypto currency. Obviously there are some countries who have decided to embrace the future, but let's face it, most of governments will stand against. Who likes their currency to be weaken? Every time a stupid country opposes bitcoin, there is so much fud and a great price drop.

China bans mining

South Korea will not ban crypto but obviously does not welcome it

India banning crypto

I fully expected this resistance from governments.

Don't be surprised if more countries come out against bitcoin

It is sad to here that there are countries that bans cryptocurrencies. It is also sad because they don't see the potential we can see in this market. This monetary system can shape our society to move forward. With the current progress in technology, such innovation like cryptos will more suited for the future economy. I hope that no more countries will ban cryptocurrencies in th mean time.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you forget your bitcoin wallet password? on: May 08, 2018, 11:23:09 PM
Recently many people who bought bitcoin years ago find themselves sitting on an untouchable bounty. Those lucky guys who purchased or mined just a few bitcoins at the start of the age of cryptocurrency nowadays can boast about their savings. However, some of them are now in a painful limbo, because they can't remember the complex security passwords needed to get to their bitcoin wallet. Unlike a bank, bitcoin has no central hotline to call for a reset. This is really a bad thing,it's like forgetting a bank account password, but there's no bank to call to reset it. That money is lost forever. That might be a lot of money at today’s exchange rate.

Actyally, this bad thing happened to me last year, and my friend recommend  this website:http://recovermybtc.com/ to me,she said she has retrieved her bitcoin wallet password through it,and I download this software,it really works after I used it,and you need to pay some service fee to them, but it's not high.Somebody who lost their bitcoin password can make a try, good luck.

I am not sure about the website for now so I am waiting until someone else proves it really works. This can be one of those too good to be true but I also do hope it really works because many of here can experience that incident. But to avoid forgetting your password, always keep a copy to you, both printed and digital and make sure that those info are secured. Play safe and success is on your way.
679  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: May 08, 2018, 11:02:02 PM
What if bitcoin gains much more value than you anticipate? So what happens when 1 satoshi reaches the price of 1 dollar?
What kind of arrangement is made if payment is requested as Cent? Can the bitcoin core be modified?

I think Satoshi can climb the market also. Remember back then that bitcoin was discarded because they don't believe that it will grow? Well look at the tides now. And if bitcoin can be so expensive, then people will refer the common cryptocurrency to Satoshi. Surely this will be along shot and will surely take years and years with very little chance to happen but we can all dream.
680  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I stop panic selling cryptocurrency? on: May 08, 2018, 10:31:43 PM
The question itself is the answer “PANIC”.

Everyone knows cryptocurrency market is highly volatile and risky.
And most of the people do emotional trading.
They sell when it is crashing. And suffer from the loss. They panic and sell in the loss.

What is the point in selling at low?
One must wait for the market to turn green and bullish.

The way to stop the panic is to not engage in panic-inducing activities such as day trading.
It is like the old joke; a man goes to the doctor and says my arm hurts when I put it overhead.
The doctor says don’t put your arm overhead Grin

If you are in need of urgent money than selling is OKAY but for profit, HODL is the best.

Every investor have some point where they fear that their investments will go waste so they try their best to cut their losses by selling their cryptos back in much lower price. They almost always think that it is better to at least get some of you investment than to wait for it. What we all need in this career is patience and self control. Have some faith and relax while holding your investment.
