201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 20, 2017, 03:05:10 AM
Looks like nicehash will be back tomorrow

they owe me about 1000 usd

I had 3 accounts

Looking forward to their revival... they owe me big time.

Meanwhile, my SHA256 rigs are now 25% BTC and 75% BCH.

Posting this abroad, cant wait to work on the Vega rigs when I am back home in a weeks time.

Merry Christmas to all Cryptonauts !

That nice 50+ % increase in bch being added to coinbase would be a nice holiday present then Smiley

Nooo, been loving the boost in profits with it down
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hello, Any Alternatives to NiceHash? on: December 20, 2017, 02:41:55 AM
Pools like zpool, hashrefinery, miningpoolhub, And ahashpool can be used with profit switching miners such as sniffdog or nemos. They will auto convert the coins and pay out in btc. Probably the closest you’ll get for now that I know of.

Try save a bit more for the 1070ti if you can
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good alt coin to mine on: December 20, 2017, 12:28:41 AM
Zcoin is good if you live in a warm environment
It doesn’t use much power so not much heat will be generated
It isn’t the most profitable coin right now though so less heat sacrifices profit
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help me pick out a mining rig on newegg on: December 20, 2017, 12:24:11 AM
Buy as many 1070ti or 1080ti as you can afford
I’d recommend getting a server psu also if you go the 1080 option for future expansion
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Profitable these days? on: December 20, 2017, 12:21:12 AM
mining is profitable  with electricity charges are cheap and by buying good mining hardware which uses less power consumption. i have seen on the bitcointalk mentioning that normal desktop pc's does not generate any income , need to by special hardware for that like ASIC ,if it is generating more hash rates and electricity charges are less and then there is chance to make some income on crypto currencies.

My gaming pc, not my rigs is making ~10$ a day on average before taking out the 1.6$ electricity

Mining in Australia where electricity is pretty expensive
Using 1080ti and they roi well, and are profitable enough for me

Most of the big exchanges will want your info for validation

Any new news on this?
Seems to be slowing down :/
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 20, 2017, 12:11:05 AM

What pool are you on?  The two I looked at haven't found many blocks in the last 24hrs.
I actually use zpool for this. You can also mine a specific coin there without converting it to btc.

Thanks, I never had tried there besides using conversion since it said on the front page "BTC is the only guaranteed payout currency" and I usually don't want to convert it automatically as I like to keep 25-50% of what I mine in the original currency just in case...

I find miningpoolhub really good for not auto converting some coins

I just realized I have no clue what brand of Nvidia cards are good for mining. Could you recommend some? ^^
Which brand got the best fans? Lifespan of these cards is crucial Cheesy

Avoid Gigabyte cards with sleeve bearing fans. I've had to RMA 5 of the cards below in 5 months of mining because the fan either stopped completely or started going haywire e.g. stopping and starting, erratically changing speed etc. They are in a low dust, ~20 degrees C ambient environment and mostly ran <60% fan speed.

There are some tuts around on how to replace the bearings but there's no point on cards still under warranty. I think I'll sell mine on and migrate to a model with more durable fans so keen to hear recommendations too!

Any issues you know of with the aorus 1080ti fans?

Anyone know what's going on with parallelminer?  I placed and order with them on the 12th for a PSU, various cables and power boards, then on the 16th I got an email saying the PSU was out of stock and they cancelled the entire order.  I sent several emails back, called and left messages, and here we are on the 18th and no response at all.  Tried to leave following vm's today, but now their vm's are full...  wtf?

That's not cool Sad Have you been in touch with Joseph? He's usually responsive. If they keep playing the same game they'll be come back in stock in a while with a price hike Angry

Hey all
Anybody have any trouble with yesterday’s ahashpool payout?
Still showing as low fee in electrum with 0 confirmations.

You can’t just place the order again?
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 19, 2017, 03:26:11 AM
Yah I dunno.  I have 2 1080ti / 6250 kh/s.

WTM says I should be making XZC 0.26/day.  I think it is over-estimating.  I set the power, difficulty, and pool fee variables correctly.

I'm going to write down the value before I sleep this evening and then check it again tomorrow same time.  Figure out exactly what it is really producing.

Would be interesting to know
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 18, 2017, 12:18:23 PM
How much XZC do you get with 1 Ti per day?

should be around 0.7 for me
What are you talking about? 46$ per card a day?! Here is real estimation (0,127xzc):
http://whattomine.com/coins/175-xzc-lyra2z?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=3125.0&p=300.0&fee=1.0&cost=0.1&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

Yeah wow, I need sleep obviously.
Was supposed to be 0.07. Sorry all. Getting a bit lower than your estimate. but my clocks may be different.
