Everything seems to be down, not just MPH
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether - 2.3 billion in reserve on: February 01, 2018, 12:10:00 AM
Market could have already began to forget about it.
Slow green today for btc.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 31, 2018, 03:39:23 AM
Now a days profit and price really down :/ , was doing nist5+x17 ,but now their profit is gone down the drain gonna switch to phi and see how that effects if its not that good gonna go back to auto switch on ahashpool.
Anyways guys what do u guys use to control ur rigs , currently was using team viewer but its sometimes just doesnt work .
Also are u guys keeping ur coins in alts or btc right now ?? Cause btc + many alts seem down atm , bitcoin going below 10 k wasnt expecting that

Even auto switch is way down on ahash.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bloody Markets on: January 31, 2018, 01:18:10 AM
It's now fighting hard to push back and stay above that 10k mark
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bloody Markets on: January 31, 2018, 01:02:01 AM
most of cryptocurrency are red for now and down in USD terms,, especially bitcoin
at this moment bitcoin price down below 10K USD depends on coinmarketcap data

is this the best time to buy more bitcoin ?

Nobody really knows, 10k was thought to be a good support, now falling past that. Wonder where it will stop.
Hopefully pulls back over 10k again soon to stop the panic.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining crash coming soon? on: January 31, 2018, 12:57:10 AM

You have sold nothing along the way? Not saying your hodl philosophy is wrong however i can totally understand why someone would sell what they have mined. The story could end at much lower prices too. Again not saying that will happen but it could happen.

Not a penny of it. Selling to cover monthly mining expenses is normal, but if you are converting everything to fiat right away you are robbing yourself of so much money. Thats why  Isay if you are selling it all off you are doing it wrong. Always mine for the future.

I used to sell everything to fiat too frequently, what a mistake that was. Missed out on so much profit.
Don't make the same mistakes I did!

I have 4 rigs now and would like to put all four screens on one.  I'm not talking about a KVM where I switch between full screens on each, I want to be able to see all 4 screens in a matrix.

Found one of these on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/J-Tech-Digital-Multi-Viewer-different-JTECH-MV41/dp/B078KJY78J/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1517352289&sr=8-12&keywords=J-Tech+Digital+HDMI+4x1+1080P

It's only $139 and seems like it might do the job, but I haven't ever used anything like this or am familiar with these products.  Have used plenty of KVMs.

Oh, and for mouse and keyboard I already have Synergy
https://symless.com/synergy

That will let me use one mouse and keyboard and roll it across all 4 screens on the 4x4 matrix on a single monitor.

Is that HDMI multi-viewer a good one or is there a better unit or idea??

Looks pretty good! Let us know how it works out.

Very interesting...Thanks for sharing.  I actually stopped using intervals that low, maybe I shouldn't of!    I noticed that some algos take several mins to get up to full hash.   I will for sure take another look at that method in the future.
Yeah exactly, and sometimes it takes 3 to 4 minutes for 3 or 4 gpu to start hashing
It do not happen often, but it happen

I'm using blake2s, lyra2re2, phi tribus skein x17 nist5 skunk neoscrypt
I was thinking about disable some algos

Had pretty good success with just x17.
Was doing just Nist a few days ago which was also nice.

Seems good if you have a nice CPU.

Aloha,

Please start giving out your merit like the title says.

Mahalo nui loa,

dumplingsandsushi

It will probably take a while before people even realize they have it to give
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 29, 2018, 11:50:11 PM
Hello everyone,
What is a good intensity for a couple of 1080ti's -- is it 26, or maybe something like 22? I wouldn't want to burn down my cards in a week either  Grin

It depends a lot on what you're mining.
Sometimes having an intensity too high will lower your hash rate significantly.
Just keep trying until you find the best one for your cards (usually between 20 and 25 for me), it shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 29, 2018, 11:24:05 PM
Nvidia card algo difficulty seems to be on the rise - I noticed that all of the normal coins I mine are producing quite a bit fewer rewards.  I added another 1080 ti to my rig and I'm still getting less than I got a few weeks ago.

It must be that the mining craze and insane demand for 1070/1070ti/1080ti cards is having a real impact on mining difficulty.

coupled with a pretty big drop in price for most 'mainstream' coins
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 29, 2018, 08:59:55 PM
moon thx again for the info

I tried the sniffdogminer on ahashpool for a few days and now trying out Awesome Miner. Seems to do basically the same thing yet with a bit better interface and perhaps the ability to control all rigs from one PC without having to remote into each one individually. We will see.

It seems to be working although not as profitable as I had hoped, still at least its making something to pay itself off in several months.

Running 7x1080ti and 7x1070ti for around .006btc/day . It looks like you can modify/add the miners which are most profitable per each algo into awesome miner so that may be what I will try next. Also perhaps trying another pool such as Miningpoolhub or zpool/hashrefinery. Not that my update is worth anything major but perhaps other new miners lurking just as I did and sharing info/experiences could move them along another step as it did for myself.

The more I spend reading about other folks successes and mishaps, the more this noob learns.
Thanks to all who contribute their time!! Much appreciated

Profits seem to be down for most things right now
Glad you’re enjoying them
Thanks for the good review, I’m sure it’ll help people new and old

so lux is still the coin to mine?

Not much love for any coins I can see.
Profits down Sad

I have a computer with good features. I am thinking of doing bitcoin mining

I know probably just BTCT account farming...but:

This is the thought that starts it all...
....
Then flash forward 6 months:
I can't find GPUs anywhere and I need 45 1080TIs for the 7 PSUs I bought just because they were in stock!
Crap where are the all the risers with 4 capacitors?!?!?
Think i can squeeze one more GPU into that case with an m.2 adapter???
How many KWs  can I get on 208v 30 amps phase 3?
It sure is getting hot in here..
Did you check BTCT/Discord/Telegram/Reddit/Facebook/Blogs/News Sites/CMC/Blockfolio today?
Damn there is a scam/hack/dev disappeared/wallet in maintenance/BTC fork/tweet/law/rumor/IRS/blah blah blah

Yeah that computer sure had some good features...

Havent they changed account farming now with the +merit required?
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 28, 2018, 09:03:35 PM
Anyone got a bent GPU before? Thinking of returning it as I don't want a GPU that will be hard to sell.

Here's a pic of it. MSI RX 580
https://imgur.com/JX1409e

That’s unreal
I’d ask for a replacement
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 28, 2018, 08:59:57 PM
well, i just transferred my hard earned 1.5 LUX to TradeSatoshi
after 10  transaction confirmations it oddly didnt show on the exchange, not even 30 minutes later
then i remembered: isnt LUX only listed on cryptopia? ... yep
the "LUX" on TradeSatoshi is fucking LuxmiCoin !!!!
the wallet didnt complain when sending and now i effectively burned my coins
awesome ...
dont make the same mistake i did Roll Eyes

Pretty sure all wallets won’t give you a warning.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 25, 2018, 05:47:26 AM

That sounds easy enough. I downloaded thesniff tool that both ahash and refinery mention. I will let it run the benchmark and see how it compares to the HSR miner I have been running. Refinery actually mentions two other tools I can look into. I also saw nemosminer mentioned as well. Any of those you have affinity to?

Thanks for your help moon!

Honestly never tried the others.
Just individual miners and nicehash (at the beginning).
They all seem to have pretty good followings though, so I imagine they're pretty similar.

Give it a try for 24 hours and see what you think.
Just don't get excited and then disappointed if you don't get what the cmd windows predicts.
Example, since my last post, my blake2s prediction shot up to $27/day, and then fell down to $7.

I think if you don't have much time to sit constantly switching coins, or switching all your rigs across to chase profits, it's a great tool.
