81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 25, 2018, 04:56:47 AM
Is there some honest pools for us??Help!
My 6x1080ti working on ahashpool.com only got about 0.003btc/day,
But the cmd‘s windows always show 0.005-0.008btc/day,
very sad.
And now what is the answer of 1080ti Best mining option??

The cmd windows usually is also wrong and changes a lot based on what the pool has found and current prices.
It may be a bit less than mining directly, but you also have to deal with only one wallet and coin.
is it considerably less or only a few percentage?
which of them seems most consistent? I see Ahashpool, Miningrefinery, zpool, and miningpoolhub?
Do you have to use their sniffdog tool? Can it be used with 1070ti rig?
May be an easy set and forget option if the "a bit less" is not too bad.

I apologize for the barrage of questions, I will take whatever knowledge you can offer here.
Thanks

I prefer Ahash, but i think it just comes down to personal preference. Although, lots of people complain about Zpool.
I had good results mining individual coins on miningpoolhub also.
If you want to use a single miner you can, just point it at the right port etc.

The cmd window can show pretty inaccurate numbers, and it'll re-adjust frequently throughout the day.
Currently mine is showing 12$ / day AUD / card, where as a few hours ago it was showing 15$.
I generally get paid $9-10 per card.

It's a very easy set and forget program once you work out a stable overclock for all the algos you choose.
Just run, and get your btc to your wallet each time you hit the minimum payout.
I used to have to check my cards frequently, or change coins manually which got very time consuming.
With this I can just load the webpage once a day if I feel like it, to check the rig is still running, and then leave it be.

I've never used the program with a 1070ti sorry, could always just give it a try.

An ac unit will just drive up your power bill - what you need for mining is to vent that hot air out, not try to cool it down with AC (which won't be able to keep up anyways if you get several rigs in there.  Install a commercial grade exhaust fan, think of what is used in greenhouses for example, and if possible have an open window or vent in a door etc on the other side of the room.

We have a room in our barn with 12 rigs in it and the above method works very well for us, even in the summer months.

Thanks for the tip Elder, I was just looking at putting in some AC myself also, but may investigate the venting option instead.
Although, being in a house not a barn may limit my commercial grade exhaust fan options due to noise aha.

Thanks for all the information, figured enough lurking and perhaps time to post something. I have to get with the program, Im still mining GBX with my 7x1080ti using hsr neo...
Going to look into this LUX coin see where that takes me.
Thanks again gents will follow along

LUX profitability is solid Cheesy

You should mine LUX at october-november.
We're quite a way from October bud.

Much easier to know what you should have mined when looking at the past.

where did the table from the first page go Huh What happened? miners are no longer on sale or is the new one being prepared?
sp_ sold his farm and ccminer optimizing tricks and left for some tiny island (Pacific Ocean)

Excellent plan

I don't suppose anybody wants to share the SP Lux Miner? I can't justify paying that silly price for 1 small rig.
GPL support this comment  Grin
What is the SP Lux miner???

A private miner made by SP and distributed to people for a 'donation' of 0.05 btc.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The END is NEAR! on: January 23, 2018, 05:09:03 AM
Yes, the END of cheap, great quality crypto is NEAR.

Once Amazon.com adopts crypto, the masses will fully awaken, and will come pouring in. Get your crypto now, my timeline says in February Amazon will launch something MAJOR, and this article supports my conclusion:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-22/could-amazon-be-gearing-cryptocurrency-exchanges

Once the largest American online retailer fully supports crypto, the FUD will no longer be as effective in tanking the markets.... you will never again see a time to buy such great quality crypto.

It would certainly be nice to see!
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market correction on: January 23, 2018, 04:47:51 AM
Would there be a big correction happening in the near future, to shake out those weak coins Huh

Nobody knows.
Wild swings are everywhere all the time.

Thanks Moondoggie! Really appreciate it. If you get time and are bored, please feel free to DM me. I'd love to pick your brain! Happy to be here Cheesy

You're probably limited with DM's as a new account, so probably easier to do it here for now.
That way others can also learn and chip in where I may be wrong / offer alternate advice Smiley

Hi all.

New to mining here and I just went all in for a 10x 1080ti zotac (3 fan) card rig! Kind of crazy with the current market for graphics cards and value of coins, I know but I got them at a decent price. Couple of quick questions for all you experts. I'm planning on increasing the card count to 13 + at some point in the near future. What and how many psu should I get?

I was looking at the EVGA super nova 1600, but I am open to any suggestions for what is safest and most cost effective.

I'm also using:
I7-7700
Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal SSD,
2x 8gb ddr4 ballistix elite,
risers
Asus b250 mining expert.

Once I get everything set up I see through the 200+ pages here that there are plenty of algo and places to maximize profit and such so I won't go on about that portion for now.

Any help, suggestions or words of wisdom/ advice are welcomed! Please be kind haha.

Thanks.

PS, currently going through the entire forum now ...so if I find the answers before someone comments I'll delete this. Thanks agian.

I like the server PSU's ~1200w platinum rated, and cheap

What psu you use? Smiley

Currently i've got a few of the HP DPS-1200FB-1 A.
Getting harder to find that model for me, but there are lots of platinum / gold server psu's out there if you aren't insisting on the model.

Thanks! Is the 1200w server psu going to be enough to power everything, not just the gpu(S)? Or do you think I should go for something a little bigger for everything? Guess I might need an adapter.

You'll probably only want to do 4 GPU per PSU. You can hook a few up together.

Is still profitable 13 GPUs 1050Ti (ETH)? Just want to know your inputs? Thanks in advance.
Try Neoscrypt with Palgin-new-miner
Why Palgin-new-miner? What is this?

https://github.com/palginpav/hsrminer

Great miner release. Best for my cards so far.

Would you recommend for 1080ti's? since the above is asking for 1050ti's

I'm liking this for neoscrypt, and another miner for Phi also for the 1080ti for a few days

Not too late for mining IMO
96  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year on: January 23, 2018, 12:18:42 AM
Highly unlikely.
Nobody really knows though.

I'd go safe and slow mining

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-economy-cryptocurrency/u-s-warns-investors-over-venezuelas-petro-cryptocurrency-idUSKBN1F52AB

I am not going to take Credit for this, but in the past 2 months I started getting really loud about telling people to make Town Coins, and Company Coins, and Country Coins. And right after I create Temple Coin, Kodak announces that they are going to launch (not have, going to launch) a Currency.

And now, Venezuala is making a Currency.

This is exactly what I needed to happen and have been telling people to do.

Nice, a step in the right direction.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do ALL Coins always move together? on: January 22, 2018, 11:35:21 PM
Trying to sell some coins with high gains to buy some that has dipped alot, but it seems they all move up and down together for the most part.  This makes it hard to sell. Is this how it normally is?  Been trading just a month now.

Not usually. Mostly influenced by the huge swings of btc right now.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: January 22, 2018, 11:31:13 PM
I think its highly unlikely that it will happen this year.
Too much to develop, maybe one day.
