Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Silver/Gilt 1 BTC Casascius Coin from 2013

Confirming the transaction has completed and the coin was sold to Aria42 for 1.35btc.
Thanks to minerjones for brokering this deal. For posterity, the offers on this coin ranged from 1.15 at the lowest to 1.52 at the highest. Offers that were higher than the sell price obviously did not pan out and I attribute that to the recent run up in BTC/USD while this coin was on offer. Thanks to everyone for their interest.

Thanks to everyone who has pm'd me offers I can't respond to everyone because of the limits on my account but I am trying! As in the edit on the top, the coin is pending a sale. If you'd like to pm an offer still you can but it would only be entertained if this tentative sale falls though. Thanks!

Another 16k in block 274536. Something big is going down. Ive only got about 10% in BTC the rest in dollars! but I'm still nervous. You sound as a btc-e troll. You're repeating yourself now btc-e trolls are not as well spoken - it would be more like "arise chikun" and "ppc to da moon in an hour" or perhaps "ltc is such a beast it just ate nmc and had babies with trc"

Your main enemy here is going to be when you put those 7970 beside each other. I would almost say you would need a water block at least on the middle card or else you're going to have them start throttling due to heat. I have two of them in one case and side by side the top card would max out at 97 and the bottom at 92 once I put a space between them they both I was getting 88 and 86 for temps. This was without over clocking. I like this calculator http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/as it is pretty accurate even though it was not designed to give profit for a pps pool. Just put in the cost of your mining hardware and your hash rate.

If you think about it though adding to your mining portfolio just gets easier with asic once its fully adopted. For instance if you wanted to get into mining right now you could do about 2gh/s with about $1600 of brand new hardware and a lot of power being used but even at current prices for asic (from the BFL Jalapenos that are being shipped) its about $50 per gh/s with a huge power draw improvement.
Like was said before the market will find a balance, but nothing will really change as the barrier to entry would be the sameish in my opinion. If the goal is to get into mining asap though you can't really go wrong with making a gpu rig and switching to litecoin. You'd probably make your money back within 6 months unless the wheels fall off.
But I'm new what do I know.
